Equium A60-156: energy consumption

Hi all!

Someone at - it an idea of how much energy consume a laptop Equium A60-156 or where I could find this information? I searched inside Toshiba Web site, but haven't found anything.

Thank you

Iracema

I have a similar technique Equium A60-181 A60-156 and it takes about 2
hours with the best of energy saving, I think that Toshiba quote something like 2.5 hours
for my model. If you are looking for sustainable latop can buy one with a Pentium-M or
Centrino, they give you about 3-4 hours of use.

    Hello

I was wondering if I can change the microphone on my Equium A60-156 P4 532 port to operate like an Audio Line In , as I want to use Avermedia AVerTV-U2 USB2 to convert my video tapes on DVD. However the Avermedia AVerTV - U2 USB2 requires an Audio Line In on the sound card. The suppliers of the Avermedia AVerTV - U2 USB2 recommended a reg file.

Anyone know if it will work or have alternative ideas on how I can convert my video tapes on DVD?

    Hello
The point is that the Microphone in your laptop sector works with a preamplifier.
He could only kill you this Port, if the input signal is powerful.
    Be careful!

  • Equium A60-156: can I spend it with WLan card?

Anyone know if I have antennas mounted in my laptop I want to install a mini-PCI Wireless card?
Ive found the crack but not sure if it has already installed antennas again. No matter what welcome halp. Thank you.

    Hello

As much as I know WiFi is not available on satellite A60-156
In this case it should not be possible to upgrade the device with the minPCI wireless network card.
You can use an 'external' as a USB WiFi key or a PCMCIA WLan card.
I would prefer the WLAN USB key. It is not expensive and very easy to use.

    Hello world

I'm at my wits end, some please explain how to get into the bios of my laptop. I contacted support on the phone and they me disconnected twice.

    Thank you very much

    AngelHeart

    Hello

you have two possibilities to get into your BIOS.

Either you start your laptop immediately and press ESC or F2 (depends on your laptop, Toshiba has two ways to get into the BIOS). Then follow the instructions!

Or you have installed HWSetup. It is a small tool that allows you to view and change the BIOS during a Windows session! You can find it at START - SETTINGS - control PANEL.

If it is not installed on your laptop, you can go
https://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com - driver & downloads. Here you can download!

  • Equium A60 - problems of severe graphics

I own a ' Equium A60-156 532 P4 / XP HE/256 MB / 40 GB/15TFT/DVD SuperMulti ' which I've updated with 512 MB of ram, so now it has 640 MB of Ram for system with 128 MB for graphics.

My problem is, even if it meets the requirements of apparent minimum configuration for various games (such as "Fable: The Lost Chapters"), it does not correctly display in the game. The grass is white, yellow water, unreadable text, etc etc...

I don't like the graphs such as shading and ripples in the water, I just like it so my laptop actually displays the right colors during a game!

I tried the latest driver from the Web from Toshiba, the Windows Update site AND even sought the drivers on the ATI site with no luck.

My laptop is doomed to be the trash and not play games or is there soemthing I can do?

    Hey Joe,

Unfortunately drivers grpahics for your laptop has been deliberately out of engineering to prevent the graphics chip to produce too much heat.

As you probably know, the graphics chip is integrated on your motherboard in order to reduce the space and there is no separate cooling. Graphics drivers are tailored to remove those aspects of the functionality of the chip which would tend to produce too much heat.

It is generally true that the latest games tend to use features that were omitted in the drivers from your laptop.

Unfortunately, there are no eassy solution to this problem as pilots of the last chip manufacturer won't load properly on your laptop without changing.

I suggest that you try the latest drivers for your graphics chip of http://www.omegadrivers.net/, but beware your graphics chip to overheat as this can cause the pertubation requiring a new mainboard.

Normally before you start to install the Toshiba Utilities, all drivers must be installed for the hardware so you have already installed the display driver? You may notice yellow exclamation in Device Manager?

  • Problems on Equium A60 - Powerpack adapter beeps

Can anyone help? A few days ago the Liteon Pack power supply / adapter for my Equium A60 (EA60-156) started beeping and my battery stopped charging! LED to indicate the connection plug is more lights and my battery is dying slowly.

If anyone has had this problem before or know what happened. This is the adapter or the laptop that broke?

I plugged adapter Satalite Pro L20 a friend to my Equium and the network LED lights or, even if two adapters are 19V and provided by Toshiba! This suggests to me that the internal battery can be ruined?

I can't find all of the resources on the web to help solve this problem!

    Thank you

    Hi Mike,.

It is unlikely to be a problem with your internal battery. Your A60 should work quite happy to power even with the battery removed. The fact that you do not get the power LED when you connect two charger shows that it is likely to be a problem with the socket on your A60 or with internal electronics that control functions AC (battery etc.).

It would be a good idea to have the device controlled by your partner to the closest authorized Service to verify what is exactly the problem.

  • Equium A60 - no wireless network connection

    Hello world

I have had a good look through the forums and can't find anything related to this but my apologies if this has been addressed elsewhere :-)

I set up a wireless home network with a Windows XP desktop computer with a router and a laptop old Win98, WinXP SP2, which I can't connect and an Equium A60. I installed two different network on the A60 USB adapters, seems to be okay with all of them except that there is no "wireless network connection" listed under network connections Control Panel. Both cards work fine on two other machines, so there must be a problem with the A60. I installed an adapter and then uninstalled before trying another.

Under control-> connections Panel Network, I can see an old broadband connection and the connection to the Local network (which is allowing me to connect to the router via Ethernet, so that the router will work), but the wireless network connection icon is not there. The driver for the USB adapter makes its appearance in Device Manager and is reported as working properly, but if it worked correctly then (I think) a wireless connection icon should appear - it happened with my other WinXP desktop.

Any ideas of what could be the cause?

    Thanks in advance
    Gareth

    Hello

I guess that the external WLan USB stick has been recognized one installed correctly. You said it appears in Device Manager. Are you sure that the WLAN USB key has been recognized to 101%? !!

If the WLAN USB key is recognized correctly, check the properties of this stick. (I think you should right click and then click on properties).

But if the stick was not recognized, you must verify the properties of the single USB ports and power safe mode.
Choose the USB single root hubs in device, right click, properties, tab power management Manager and disable the option called allow the computer to turn off the device to save energy.

  • energy consumption of iMac

What is the power consumption of my 27 iMac late 2009 model, while in mode 'sleep'?

Energy consumption and thermal information for iMac - Apple Support

  • energy consumption of iMacs

Why put you a power 310w supply when at full load can take up to 360W? and who knows how many with lots of memory and i7 upgrades.

    They need at least 400W.

It's really bad and it reduces the overall performance.

Of course, the loss is thermal too but who cares for that when pay us that much for a so-called high-end machine...

I do not understand you Dear Apple...

Also why not to provide information about energy consumption when is right to the wall outlet? Do you know that it is not zero?

And he plays 0.7W 2W to an iMac but 14.2 and other models is almost the same...

    Besides on temperature problems...

and I have 2 iMacs comes only from your amazing operating system.

I'd rather have an answer of an Apple certified technician.

    Thank you.

    Hello

Why you n t install a new Windows OS on this laptop?
Missing drivers can be downloaded from the page of European driver of Toshiba.
    All drivers are available!

The recovery disc can be ordered for this model of laptop because it s too old.
Clean install OS Win + drivers is therefore the only option

  • System failure-Equium A60 won't boot to the top

    I have a toshiba laptop
    "equium a60 model PSA67E-No.-00200D8J.

Ive had problems with my start up! I get an error message saying: I have a missing driver!

    read the MSG error-"system32\drivers\ntfs.sys".

    Also get message...

"windows was not start because the following file is missing or damaged:
    system32\DRIVERS\isapnp.sys ".

Unfortunately I can't find my original CD boot disk & I don't want to lose the files saved... not too good sense when it comes to problems with this...

If anyone can give some advice please, it drives me crazy! Laughing out loud

    Alan.

    Heyho,

looks like you're in big trouble. I think the only chance to backup your files is to get some linux live CD (knoppix, ubuntu and mandrake) and an external hard drive to copy the files to your hard drive internal to external hard drive attached.

The best way would be to ask a technician or a guy who is VERY familiar with computers to backup your data.

After that you need to reinstall your operating system but without the recovery CD, you are out of luck. Then you don't have a lot of options.
One of these options is to look for startup disk or how to call it: "restore CD". If it is not available you should contact an authorized local dealer servicepartner toshiba and get a new recovery disk. The last option is to buy a Windows XP or to ask someone (family, friends, the one who) for a Windows XP to install.

    Greetings
