  Has anyone got a copy of the disc recovery issued with an equium A60-157 PSA67E as I am trying to get this laptop for work and unable to get its hotkeys control and be able to work.

  The recovery disc can be ordered for this model of laptop because it s too old.
  Clean install OS Win + drivers is therefore the only option

  Can Hi anyone help me please? I get an old work Equium A60-157, sorted to the backlight inverter but I would like to get a drive recovery if possible because it can have several system files on this subject I found on this site.

  Certainly wants power! must get a more powerful adapter, as it is creaming my 4. 5 diet sometimes, but seems to be a good laptop.

  I'm trying to restore (from scratch, no OS system) an A60-157 and find it goes hard, so I have some questions to ask.

  I loaded an XP Home edition with service pack 1 included, (still looking for a copy of the original release) as it was spitting feathers with my XP pro + SP3 copy and it is now in a "better mood", I am aware that some older systems has been working with the first version of XP Original, but if you tried to give them a newer version (beginning with a later XP copy) you encounter problems of pilot.

  So my first question is Toshiba used a "copy of XP converted" IE had added pieces found outside the walls of their factory?

  My second is the recovery disk he did or does it now have copies of the software added to this disk, (like adobe 6 and windvd v5 etc.) before buy you, because I downloaded all the drivers for my model and not mind to pay £30 for the same thing again, because I wonder if this software has a few key to all of this?

  I'm working on a lost cause? where to change the brightness of the screen, I have to go into the Bios!

  Don t know what you mean by a copy converted to XP but the Toshiba notebook are / have been delivered with the recovery disc that contains an image. The image is a package that contains the Windows operating system, the Toshiba drivers, tools and additional programs like WinDVD, etc.

  All 3rd party software that was part of the recovery image Toshiba cannot be downloaded, because it s not Toshiba software you can download only tools of Toshiba and the Toshiba page drivers. It also means that you can use as part of recovery disk, you will get only the keys etc for this

  I'm working to fix my Equium P300-16 t.

  In my previous thread, I had a problem start after dismantling it and now I have solved at least this one (I simply removed the CMOS battery once again, he left side for about two hours, escalated and at least the monitor works and the BIOS is starting).

  I put t know you want exactly but mainboard manuals are not available. The only manual that you can download is the user manual but this one you should have already.

• Equium A60 - 181: Installation of applications for the Toshiba

  I'm no stranger to Toshiba laptops and the various pilot facilities, but affecting this laptop for a colleague has cost me a significant amount of lost hair.

  I am unable to get some applications Toshiba works on XP SP2 Professional, namely the Toshiba Power Saver (fails with error 0x7E) & utilities Toshiba (refuses to proceed with the installation in the form of common modules not found).

  The failure of these two applications seems to be down to the "common modules" are not responsible. The common modules files are something I know, but there is not available for download from the Toshiba web site for this model.

  After talking to Toshiba Helpline, I was informed that the satellite is very similar to the Satellite and the common modules for satellite A10 files should work.

  This unit comes with SP1, and it is possible that you must preinstall the unit completely before installing SP2.
