Equium L10-300: how to remove BIOS password which was never put

Hello

I have a Toshiba laptop Equium L10-300 which has just begun to ask a market BIOS password, which is strange, because you never have the value. I read in these forums and have found that the other models had the same problem.

Now first of all, I was wondering if there is anyway to fix this without sending it away and if not then who can I send it to and the repair will be free?
Thank you

Hello

I didn t notice such BIOS password on my laptop problem.
However, if the BIOS has been set and that you can not connect, then you will need to contact the ASP in your country for the removal of the password! Without the help of ASP, you will not be able to use the laptop.

But I can't say much about the cost. I think it could be done for free. Just call the guy and explain your situation.

Good bye

  • Satellite Pro A100 request BIOS password which was never put

    Hiya

Have had my Satellite Pro A100 for almost 2 years and that all this time have never even heard of a password system, but all of a sudden, I turned on the laptop this morning and it does not load. I tried pressing F12 (can't remember why, it seemed the thing to do to read the instructions at the bottom of the screen), but nothing happened so I just turned off the power. Put on again, he asked the system password. (A black screen with a blue box, with the old text base BACK type fonts).

I have no idea what it could be, I tried the word system and tried just pressing on enter without text in there but it says incorrect password. I removed the battery and left 10 hours but put it back in the machine there is no difference, it will not always go through this screen.

I am the only user on this machine, have no idea what caused it. I am aware of security, have installed on complete McAfee AV and did not have anything odd happen at all. Didn't last changes made to the configuration, no new software etc. so I have no idea what prompted it.

    Can anyone help please?

    Thanks in advance
    Rachel

This password seems to be a BIOS password, but I have no idea why this password is displayed if you have never defined it.
Unfortunately, there is not a lot to see the BIOS password can be removed without the help of an ASP.

Then, contact the service provider allowed in your country and request removal of the password.

I also recommend updating the BIOS after the technician removed the password.

Do you know how to find the ASP closest?

Here is a site with all FSA worldwide:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/-> support download &-> find an authorized service provider

  • Equium A100-338 - how to remove BIOS password?

Insalled Ubuntu 9.10 on the laptop when it was released last month after I had used it fine until last week when suddenly in asked me the password of the bios at startup. I can't start, load into the bios or where I start since the change.

I never set a password on my bios or had any reason to go in there and have never had this problem with Ubuntu Linux on any device in the past. The internet has not helped either, nor has the user guide that tells me to go to the chapters that do not exist and the website holder that has dead and then links says me to go to curries, as I bought it from there.

I'm covered by technical support curries until next year, but they insist that I should pay for the solution, insinuating that it's my fault.

Any information would be massively appreciated. :)

    Hey Buddy,

If the BIOS requires a password and you don t you will need to contact an authorized service provider. The fact is that only a laptop computer technician can remove the password and if you need professional help. Here, you can search the nearest SPAS:

  • Equium L10-300 - how to replace the keyboard

I recently got a Toshiba Equium L10-300 and it has serious issues of keyboard.

Some buttons do different things they are asked (for example. The letter M is going to be transformed into letters NM or the right arrow will turn into a huge space).

The enter/return key does not work all together and that's all I want to work really (want to format and start over).

I tried to remove the keyboard, but he can't seem to drag out (is there an easy way out without breaking everything?).

Any help or advice on this would be much appreciated.

    Hello

The keyboard is fixed with screws.
You need to remove these screws to remove the keyboard from the laptop.

As far as I know there is a small plastic above the F1 - F12 buttons cover.
You must remove this cover to gain access to the screws.

After removing the screws you may carefully lift the keyboard.
But note; the keyboard is connected to the motherboard with a flat cable. Be careful and don't use force.

    Hello

Your story is a bit confusing.

    But let's talk about facts;
Firstly if you have set the BIOS password, you should be able to remove it in the BIOS if the BIOS password is known to you.

If the BIOS password is not known to you, you will not be able to withdraw without further support from the authorized Toshiba maintainer. The BIOS password must be removed using a special procedure and tools and it can be done ONLY by an ASP.
I think it should be clear now.

So if you want to remove the BIOS password, and the password is not known to you, you need the ASP and you will be charged for this.

Unfortunately, you will need the help of ASP.

    Welcome them

    Dear Experts: -.

I have toshiba satellite L350 laptop computer. and I forget the BIOS password.
sameone has me remove the battery on the motherboard. I have c and 24 h without betttary.
but when I put the battery on the motherboard. andpress on butten but still BIOS password.
Please tell me someone how to remove password?
    Thank you.

Computers notebooks are portable computers that can be easily stolen and protection of BIOS is the functionality of security very important which must offer the maximum on the security of the data (to block the OS startup).

All laptops Toshiba don t have the same mechanism for BIOS password removal. Some of them are very complicated and even service cannot be removed without contacting Toshiba directly. So all of these methods, you can find on the net, especially with the battery CMOS removal will not work. It would be too easy for thieves to remove the BIOS password and have full access to the operating system.

You can check all these documents posted by rotemanq and Googling all about you can find hundreds of similar documents, but they won't help you much.

Best option for you is to contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and they can do for you. It costs a little but they will remove it for you.

  • How to remove a password that was saved using Microsoft when you connect to a site/page?

Someone at work logged on to a site and now every time someone tries to connect to the other persons name and password pop up.  How can you erase this?  Thanks, Jim

Open Internet Options, and then click Delete under browsing history. You see a dialog box with a set of options. Select the data on forms and passwords (selection of the option is your choice), then click on remove.

This will clear all data like password form.
Repeat that even if you use a different browser than Internet Explorer, but the steps vary.
If delete history out of navigation is activated, it won't store the form data, even if the record is selected.
  • How to remove a podcast which was published thanks to Wordpress?

I have a wrong version of an mp3 that has posted. The podcast of the positions directly to iTunes through Wordpress once it is displayed. How can I remove the podcast to iTunes after it was sent. Just remove the post on Wordpress did not delete iTunes.

If you delete an episode of the food new subscribers will see it disappears pretty quickly, but the store puts cache visits in a kind of spin, and flow so that it usually takes 1 to 2 days for changes - either adding or removing episodes - to appear. Subscribers who have already downloaded the episode it will always be what you do - you can't change that.

I don't know exactly what it was that you want to change - if you just want to change the record, but keep the descriptions and titles of everything you need to do is download the new version under the same file name. The change appears in the store immediately (because it does not cache episodes, only food), but still the subscribers who have already downloaded it do not lose the old version.

If you view the version revised as a new episode (with a different label "guid") subscribers who have already downloaded the old version will receive the new version as well.

  • Equium L10-300 - Question about BIOS password

Hey all hope you can help a new user please.

Had a customer to put in a notebook Equium L10-300. Somehow has been a password on the BIOS and start-up, so I can't do anything with it. I can't boot from a CD and I tried a USB floppy drive, it seems to the flexible time and then just operates in the password box. I was going to try a BIOS flash, you see.

I'm guessing maybe remove battery from the bios might help? But do not know where it is or how to get to it. All links to the manuals etc. would be nice. I ve read some new Toshibas have special security chips now hold passwords etc.

Any help would be thank you very much, really need to solve this problem.

So if you try to delete the BIOS password I can't imagine work you for some Baker. So many things on your work.

Another important thing is that the BIOS removal procedure is kind of top secret information and may not be the subject of public debate. This information cannot be displayed here. This will be a valuable aid for all who attempt to enter stolen laptops. Do you agree with me?

If your customer needs professional help to send him to the authorized Toshiba service provider nearest. They know how to remove BIOS password.
