Equium L20 extremely slow functioning after formatting

I wonder if someone could help me,
I've had my Equium just over a year now, and last month I think he got a virus as it started incredibly slow running, not allowing no not to me to open all programs.

So I restarted, but once he was gone I could not start it up again.
It displays the Windows loading screen and then die and restart again.
I had to format the hard drive and after doing that, everything seemed to go well, and it worked perfectly.

This lasted for about 2 weeks and now it's back to how it was before, running very slowly taking almost half an hour just to reach the login screen and I get errors when it connects finally said my applications fail to load.

The first time that I got a warning that Norton Antivirus has encountered a problem and I have to re - install that: S
I can't believe it's another virus it soon after the first, mainly because I never had any problems with viruses and antivirus software still run.

I would greatly appreciate help or advice, could someone give me why this is happening.

Hello

You must check in the Manager of tasks, the processes that are running in the background!
Sometimes the laptop trying to update windows automatically and connects to the Microsoft server. During the update the laptop will run slowly or not answer!
This happened to me several weeks ago. The windows connected to the server of Microsoft, but I have not noticed this!
It took several hours to update windows!

In addition, I recommend to defragment the HARD drive and use some tune-up like TuneUp 2007 tools. The program CCleaner cleans up the registry and solves the problems with installed applications.

I recommend that you check this!

Dell made a lot of laptops to do so that we can see what you have:

Click on the button/ORB start in the lower left corner of your screen. Or, press the button of your keyboard Windows logo.

    In the type box:

    Msinfo32

Select / click msinfo32.exe and the system information dialog box opens.

Click System summary, click on edit, select all (Ctrl-A), copy (Ctrl-C) and then paste (Ctrl-V) the information back here in your next reply.

For information about video drivers, expand components, click view, click on edit, select all (Ctrl-A), copy (Ctrl-C) and paste (Ctrl-V) feedback here.

Sooner or later, it would be nice to have a list of your startup items so while you wait to do this:

CCleaner will want to install an additional startup item in your configuration (that you need not) on the first Setup screen remember to choose to customize the installation and make it look like this, then install CCLeaner:

CCleaner allows you to manage most of the startup items and also do some other operations oriented cleaning.  Some people will you recommend is not to use the registry functions in CCleaner to avoid these features for now.  I have no problem with it for me, but sometimes it's a contentious issue, I prefer to avoid as much as possible!

You can uninstall CCleaner later if you don't like it.

Run CCleaner and choose Tools, boot and bottom right, click on the button "Save to text file" to save the startup information in a text file on your desktop with a name you remember - something like startup.txt

Save the text file startup information to your desktop (or somewhere you can find it) open the text file with an editor (Notepad or WordPad) and select all (Ctrl-A), copy text, all the text selected in the Windows Clipboard (Ctrl + C) then paste (Ctrl + V) the contents of the startup list of back here in your next reply.

  • Satellite 1410 - slow even after formatting

My computer became very slow (I can't watch the videos), so I thought that I had a virus and I scanned my pc.
He found a virus called "fast.exe", I deleted this file, but I've always had some problems, so I tried to format the pc using the recovery disks but my pc is still slow.

The format made by the recovery disks all erase or overwrite just the system?

Some people advised me to do a low-level format, but I don't know how to do it and I always thought it was very dangerous.

    What should I do?

    Hello

As far as I know if you reinstall your operating system with recovery CD, it is not low level formatting. All your data will be deleted. Each time until you want to reinstall OS Backup your data. If you have the second partition you can save it there.

Don t worry. Reinstall your operating system. Also, try to install the SP2 to make sure that your laptop is up-to-date.

Many factors can be responsible when your computer is running slowly. You can also disable all processes that you don't need. You can find them in the System Configuration utility (start > run > type msconfig and click OK). Under Startup, you can turn off all programs that you don't need.

I also have bad experience with the speed of my machine. After the installation of Antivirus software, my laptop was very slow. Without this machine software was fast again.

Back up your data and try to find out what the problem is with your Satellite.

    Good bye

  • Equium L20: very slow performance - how do I speed it up?

This is probably a really stupid question, but I'm not a techie. My L20 got really really slow... it has never been super fast at first, but now it's really bad.

I defrag and clean the drive regularly (once a fortnight) and it's really only used to access the interest for the moment.

Any advice on how to speed up a bit?
    Regards Robert

To be honest, you did the right thing. Defragmentation and HDD cleaning should help performance.

It will be interesting to know what is CPU and HARD disk activity while surfing the Internet. Have you noticed ongoing activity of HDD or maybe high CPU load?

  • Portable operation extremely slow even after the system recovery

I have a series of g laptop and on last week, it started running VERY slowly after the start. It came from nowhere, because it allows to work just fine the day before. So yesterday, I restored the factory setting and saved without previous files or documents. He worked as new for a few hours and then it suddenly becomes very slow. It's so slow that it freezes or it loads forever when I just click or click on the Start button. Pretty much everything I had there, it was iTunes malawarebytes, utorrent, steam and some other stuff that is were all on my computer before the problems began. Help will be greatly appreciated!

    Best regards, Nicolas

    Hi Nicolas,.

Regarding the size of the hard drive, there may be problems with the recovery process if you are installing a drive of smaller capacity than one that was originally supplied with your laptop - the same size or slightly more is Ok.

Unfortunately, I do not see the image of your link, but I think I know what you are referring.

I guess than the previous you reinstalled the operating system is using the D Partition of hard disk recovery.  However, with a new disc, it will not be possible that the disc is not completely empty.  You will need to use a set of recovery DVDs to reinstall the operating system on the new drive - however, this procedure going to re-create the recovery on the new drive Partition automatically.

All you have to do, once the new drive has been installed is to operate on the esc key when you launch Notepad to open the Start Menu.  Insert the recovery DVD.  Select boot options (usually f9), use the arrow keys to select the CD/DVD drive and press ENTER.  You can also get a prompt to "Press any key to" continuous - it if requested.  This will start the Recovery Manager and the whole procedure will be very similar to the previous method, you used - you will be prompted by the software when you need to change DVD to continue the process.

    Kind regards

  • Re: Tecra S10 G11, extremely slow boot after BIOS update to 3.00

My laptop was working fine until I updated the BIOS to 3.00. It takes a lot of time to start all the trunk was support (disk, CDROM,...). Once I have selected the bootable media, the screen goes black with a white blinking cursor for about 5 to 10 minutes, then loads windows normally and everything works perfectly.
I think the decommissioning of the bios, but I can't find older versions.
    Kind regards

    Hello

Only a newer version of BIOS is available on the European driver Toshiba page
So, if you need an earlier version; contact a local ASP.

However, I recommend to access the BIOS and to set the default settings.
Perhaps it is necessary to get the Mobile QuickStart

    Good luck

  • First Pro CC 2015 | Extremely slow performance

Does anyone else know extremely slow performance after the update?  I tried all the usual items, delete the cache, reinstall etc... Last try was install on a clean system... still very slow performance.

Intermittent symptoms are: push the space bar to play - 1 or 2 second hesitation, pushing the space bar to play audio but video playback does not work, some filters is blurry, curved RGB for example take 2 ~ 4 seconds of 'kick '...

Same exact same system configuration on the previous version had no issues and was very sensitive. Also this on 2 other systems that have been updated. All Mac.  Customers are starting to notice the hesitation on the reading that is really powerful.

Turn off your automatic backup in the preferences. I was about to tear my remaining hair, dealing with the same issues as you. This fixed it for me. It will be useful. BTW, it wasn't my idea. It seems to help a lot of people and systems here lying around.

I have a Satellite 1410-714 which has had a hard drive failure. I replaced the drive, but now the computer is extremely slow. Windows has been reinstalled, it was really slow too much and now it takes minutes for windows to start.

  • Satellite 1800 working extremely slow after reinstallation of the operating system

I bought a second hand Satellite 1800. I gathered all the drivers on the site of producer s, but when I formatted the HARD drive and installed Windows XP Home edition (my own copy, not any supplied software) the laptop works extremely slow... before that during the process of reading/writing of HARD drive, you could hear that typical for the sound... now the hard drive is completely silent during operation as it's slow as hell...

I tried to keep up with the web and it turns out that if I reinstalled the OS to Toshiba Recovery CD, it should do the thing... never mind, I didn't know I should have this CD when I bought it... so now I don't... Is there anything I could do about it?
    Help, please

    Q.

    Hello

As far as I know, this camera comes with W98SE and WME. The recovery CD with operating system Windows XP Home edition for this device is not created by Toshiba.

You can install Windows XP Home edition and use all the drivers for the Toshiba download site. I don t know how much RAM use this device, but if the unit has less than 128 MB of RAM you can't wait the machine runs fast.

  • Equium L20: memory of 192 MB instead of 256 MB and slow

I have an Equium L20, which is less than a year and began to run very slowly. It registers only 192 MB of memory, wherever it is physically a 256 MB chip in the machine. Is it because of the graphics card or is the problem why the laptop going really slow?

I'm going to contact the support team to get this fixed under warranty

    Hello

Believe me, that the lower value of the memory is not a fault.
Because you have acquired in your ad the 192 MB of RAM are related with the graphics card. I guess your laptop supports supported a shared memory graphics card and as a result, you get a lower central memory. The graphics card uses the 64MB of main memory. (256 64 = 192 MB)

If everything is ok with your laptop and I think that the laptop is a bit slower because of many applications that are installed on your laptop, or processes that are run in the context of the BONE.

  • Extremely slow Boot Up After installing HP Deskjet F4280

I am running Windows Vista Home Basic with 2 GB of RAM.  I have a few days ago I intalled a HP Deskjet F4280 all-in-one.  Since that time I am experiencing extremely slow start when I start my computer.  Things move along fine until I get to the Welcome screen.  That stays on for about 30-45 seconds, then I get a blue screen that remains as long as two minutes.  After the end of the boot system, everything seems to work normally.  I played a little bit and found out that if I turn user account control, I get a normal startup.  Any help will be appreciated.

    1. click on the start menu and click on "Run" and type "services.msc" and press the Enter key.
    2. in the Services window, locate the HP CUE Device Discovery Service and double-click it.
    3. you should find something that says "Startup Type" Who put in "manual".
    4. click on the button "Apply" and close all windows.

Or if you want an alternative, then turn off UAC. It's annoying as hell anyway!

  • Extremely slow after the recent updates.

    Nice day!

After a recent update, my computer starts extremely slow for example, a file transfer time to initialize very low speed. No hardware changes have been made, and everything was in tact. The CPU usage is very low, but the computer does not respond, what the hell. Initially the system would be stuck on windows startup, but I waited until what he actually started upward because it usually takes less than 2 minutes to start. I tried system restore to restore to before the updates were installed and it worked! I wanted to just know how can I find out what update caused the problem or do I stop updating?

    Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit SP1
    See you soon!

    Andrew

Install all a test for signs of the back problem, you go. When you have identified the problem update and then use the correct way to remove the update or select Start, Control Panel, programs and features, see installed updates and follow the instructions under uninstall an update.
