Equium L300 - how to validate Windows?
After I put my laptop to original settings, I got a message to validate windows. When I clicked on the legend now validate windows I get a message saying that the key is incorrect. The number on the computer is different from the one on the Microsoft label on the underside of the computer.
Vista was ok before putting the laptop back to original settings. Vista was preinstalled when I got the laptop.
Any ideas how to validate Windows?

The preinstalled Vista is already activated and so activation is not necessary and is not necessary.

In your case, I would just try to install the operating system preinstalled by Toshiba yet once on your laptop using the Toshiba Recovery disk or the Toshiba HDD recovery option.

Satellite L300 - how to reinstall Windows Vista on the replacement HARD drive

My HARD drive has stopped working on my PSLB9E. He started making whirring noises and wouldn't start. all tests show it does not. Now I guess I need a replacement for HARD drive and watched a TOSH MK2565GSX or other similar. Problem is I can't find my Windows key anywhere.
It is can get the key to Toshiba/Microsoft giving them all my contact information or do I have to buty a new HARD drive and install a copy newly purchased Windows on? If Yes, then I'll put W7 on I guess.

Can you please tell us which version of Windows 7 (32-bit or 64-bit), you installed this Equium L300 model you have exactly?
In your case, I'll try a different driver. Currently for Equium L300 no webcam Windows 7 driver available but for similar L300 Satellite you will already find a webcam driver. You should try this one and post your result. Maybe it will work. :)

I have an Equium L300 Windows Vista 32-bit.
I turned on my laptop this morning to find that it wouldn't start.
