  This laptop was equipped certainly SATA HDD :)
  If you want to upgrade to a larger HARD drive and a SATA HDD is right!

  The slot in the HARD drive seems to be placed at the bottom of the unit near the edge of the laptop.
  To remove the disc HARD turn the computer upside down.
  Loosen the 2 screws and remove the cover of the HARD drive during the liberation of the locks.

  damage to the connector. Place the mounting of the HARD drive on a flat surface and remove the 4 screws.

  As far as I know the HARD drive is placed on the right side of the laptop.
  I think it's on the same side where the reader is placed.

  1. turn the computer.
  2. remove the screw of the cover of the HDD location and remove the cover.
  3. remove the screws fixing the HARD drive ASSY.
  4. hold the HARD drive door handle and remove the drive HARD ASSY.
  5. remove the screws that attach the HARD drive.
  6 detach the HARD drive from the HARD drive support.

  not all motherboards were Boot from USB active

  Make sure to set the ot of CD/DVD drive USB key to be 1st in the boot order to boot from the XP disc

  So finally getting my new laptop for work, the first thing made disk image and drive cloned to 2 separate drives, 1 disk to hide for emergency use second drive an SSD to replace the 1 TB drive. Low and here is new HP Envy can not simply pull old (new) hunt and put new and install first as storage device that I was planning to do. Can someone please tell me if I can get out of the car and replace it with the SSD, I bought this laptop? I don't care even if I use the 1 TB it came with I want to the SSD in there.   If there is an operating system, you will need to either clone it o & o DiskImage software proposed doing the work, but iirc that freeone not sector by sector, not necessary and slow.

  I use AOMEI Partition Wizard disk/partition copy - copy sector smart, very fast: www.disk-partition.com/.../disk-copy.html

  If there is an operating system - it will start upwards after copy aomei.

  I don't know if it's on the aomei free version of backup and restore - it might be.
