Equium L350D - 11 d connecting to a network wireless after the factory restore

Hello

Recently, I've restored my Equium to factory following a virus. I am running Windows Vista Home Premium and it is out of warranty.

When I try to connect to a network, it is said the computer does not have an installed and configured wireless network adapter. I recommend to install wireless networking equipment and checking that the correct drivers are loaded.

How can I do this?

In the PC Diagnostic tool under network, he said: "Realtek RTL8102E Family PCI - E Fast Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.0) version = 6.2"

However, in Device Manager, I also have a yellow exclamation beside an unknown device in the section "other devices." It's the only thing that has been highlighted with an exclamation point.

In the system information section, I found that the vendor for this product ID is 08DA and the device ID is 8197 (usb\vid_08da & pid_8197\00e04c000001). I don't know what it refers to, or why it prevents my find all networks.

Can you recommend what measures I can take, or divers you think I need to install to correct the problem. I guess I should save the drivers on an external hard drive?

Thanks for your help.

It is really strange this unknown device is listed after recovery image installation. In General, recovery image contains all the necessary drivers, so something like this should not happen.

Open if please check and if Device Manager card Realtek WLAN is listed under network adapters.
According to specification for laptop, your laptop has wireless 802.11 network card g (RTL8187B) Realtek driver for this card, you can find and download from Toshiba WLAN portal - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/

Please send comments.

  • Windows 7 will not reconnect to the network wireless after the first connection.

Hi, we have computers portable windows 7 on a corporate domain which primarily use a desktop lan connection. We have a user based certificate that is registered automatically through Group Policy, to allow wireless access, and another group strategy that puts in place the wireless itself.

The question we have is: LAN/WLAN switch is enabled in the BIOS.

User can start and open a session with or without the LAN cable and wireless connections automatically connects them (if no LAN cable not inserted) wireless access point

Once connected (if started with inserted LAN cable), when the LAN cable is removed, the wireless connection will automatically connect AP (specified by Group Policy).

If the user then taken LAN cable back in, (after returning from meetings etc...), it connects to the wired LAN fine.

If the user removes the LAN cable once again, (another meeting etc.) the wireless connection is not automatically connect again.

The user can open the connections wireless at this point and manually connect to the access point.

The opposite occurs if the user starts with no LAN cable it inserts after the start and then he removes, the wireless connection does it not connect automatically.

"Connect automatically when this network is in range" is enabled in group policy

IPv6 is disabled on the wireless card

I tried to delete the contents of the Interfaces file in the program data\microsoft\WLANSvc\profiles

WLAN/LAN switching works fine every time.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Thank you!!

  • My Windows 7 computer will not find the networks wireless after a system restore.

My Windows 7 computer is not find wireless networks after I did a system restore. It was perfectly good wifi before the system restore and other members of my family have a great connection except me is not a problem with my router. I think I know what the problem is, but I just don't know how to fix it. So there you go. I did my restore system about 2 days after that we moved on the provider of internet/tv "Comcast" to the tv/internet provider "Verizon". what I think has happened, is that I restored my computer to the point when we had no Verizon so that he could not find the network. Now, since we have Comcast it won't identify this network either, so maybe some of you out there could help me. : D

  • C309g-m do not reconnect to the network wireless after the start-up

I have a question similar wireless as people before, however, I think that my case is different, somehow:

1 during the initial installation, I set the wireless settings (just select the name from the list and enter the password - there are many networks around me)

    2. everything works, connection is never dropped, the printing speed

    3. then, when I turn the printer off and then later turn it on, wireless blue led lights, but there is no connection. Running wireless network Test gives in the statement: "the wireless radio does not work. Contact HP support. The network running configuration does not help again, no wireless networks are found.

    4. However, when I unplug the printer from the power while it's on (at rest), then plug back in and turn it on (I shouldn't do this, I know) - printer is connected within seconds to the configured network and everything is OK - "no problem found", said the wireless network Test

I call HP support and they asked me in the service menu and make the semi full reset, I did. He turned me to configuration - see point a. Connected printer and was working fine until I turned it off. (I tried turning it off and on again shortly after completing installation and the printer connected correctly, however, the later, when I turned it off (but not disconnected) for a longer period of time, the question has remained.)

Yet called HP, the guy said is directives are stop here and return the printer. I said two weeks ago, I installed new cartridges place - he said to take out them. Is it really OK for a cartridge to rest just like that, to sit on a table for a week or two without drying? I said how to store the - he said leave, they'll be fine.

Y at - it a fix for this, because I don't want to be bothered with the printer until the point of transport service? Not one that follows would behave like this? And are there recommendations of store for the cartridges out of the printer? I feel I'm wasting a lot of ink in outgoing and re - install a new printer! I don't want to, this isn't my fault printer is defective.

The last question is - when it makes sense to turn off and inkjet printer. I print a few pages every couple of days. I usually turn off the printer when the working day is over and then turn it back on next day (or 2nd day) when I need it again.

I thank very you much for your help and advice!

If they send you a replacement printer, there with her ink tanks.  You can store your current printer ink tanks and use them later you 'new' printer if you wish.  Store the nozzle in place so that they do not leak.

  • Tecra A4 won't start on DVD or network to allow the factory restore

I have a Toshiba Tecra A4, I insert the recovery CD and try to boot it on the CD player and the computer simply ignores the CD player. I change the bios so it should start on the last drive, but she always starts here everything first. If I remove the hard drive it will boot on the CD player. I even removed the hard drive and remove the main partitition (leaving the recovery partition) and I can get the laptop to boot to the CD drive, but after the first reboot, it goes back to ignore the CD drive and try to boot to the hard drive only. I've never seen anything like this. Any ideas on how to fix it or work around it?

    Thank you.

    Hello

In your case I would recommend set the BIOS default settings and save the changes.
Then turn on the laptop, and then press F12.
Then a start menu should appear and you should be able to choose the STRANGE as a boot device.

Generally, if there is no hardware problem this procedure should work.

  • I have problems to connect to my network wireless computers in my house running XP Pro.

Hello. I have problems to connect to my network wireless computers in my house running XP Pro. I set up my wireless router to use WPA - PSK encryption. When I type in the passphrase on computers running XP in my house, I get an error message indicating that the password must be 5 to 13 ASCII characters or 10 to 26 characters in hexadecimal. It doesn't even seem like it checks the password. The error immediately.

I tried to connect to the network using my work running Windows 7 laptop and it works fine. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

    original title: cannot connect wireless

Go, I tried and it worked was that you have to be sure what parameters you have set when you set the security of your are wireless (for example the Type of security, Encryption Type etc.) and they have to be compatible with the version of your laptop.
Older versions usually have 64bitWEP or WEP 128 bit and newer versions have WPA, WPA2-Personal (PSK).

The 64-bit and 128-bit require 5 or 13 characters. These characters can be obtained when you configure the wireless (it will ask you to put the characters and the characters will be automatically converted to hexadecimal characters, which it must be remembered that they are the password wireless).

WPA or WPA2 - Personal (PSK) are easier to implement and the passwords are normal characters that you want it to be.

Then go to your security wireless set up the page and re - configure the password or the type of network and it should help

  • Unable to connect to a network or to the Internet on my Dell XPS1530.

Unable to connect to a network or to the Internet on my Dell XPS1530. When I try to diagnose problem, I get a message that reads "Network Diagnostics cannot run because the Diagnostics Policy Service is not running." Having exhausted the patience all the phone with my IP and Dell, which tells me that it is a problem of Microsoft software. I have two other computers and a PS3, and I am able to connect to the Internet through one any of them. The XPS works under Vista with SP2. Can someone help, please? Thank you.

Go to start / Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Services and go to diagnostic policy Service and set it to automatic and start it.  If it does not start, check the dependencies and make sure they're too automatic and rnning.  Then see if you can run Network Diagnostics.

You can get in trouble with your device drivers.  Go to Device Manager by going to start / find and type Device Manager and enter and then double-click on the program icon that appears.  Check each device to a red x, yellow! or white?  These identify devices with problems probably (drivers, but also of conflict or something else).  Click on each for more details and troubleshooting tips.  If you need to get drivers (and you should get those developed to date for the network card and regardless of the device you use to connect (such as a router wireless or such) and all you have time to do - they can help way beyond simply solve this problem), let the computer dealer or the manufacturer of the device (NOT of Microsoft Updates).  In fact, you must disable automatic updates in Windows Update driver as follows:http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-disable-automatic-driver-installation-in-windows-vista/. Follow these steps to get the drivers: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/ht/driverdlmfgr.htm.  Once you have the drivers, you can install them via the Manager device as follows:http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-device-manager-install-driver.html.

When I'm in a lke your situation, I usually start from scratch.  Create a new network connection by ensuring that all settings are correct.  Check all the cables (if there is).  You have already reinstalled the drivers - make sure that no firmware or software is also necessary.  Configure the network sharing settings and make sure that you are ready to discover the network and such.  Check other computers to see their settings to make sure you get yours right and essentially the same thing (the same exatly so is another Vista machine connected in the same way).  Go to start / Control Panel / Internet settings and make sure that it's too fixed properly.  To connect, then try again. If this is not the case, remove some time to cool down and then start again with another new connection.  It's almost certainly a parameter that is not correcct (something no doubt very simple).

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

I just moved and I don't have Internet yet. I asked my neighbor for their password, but my computer could not connect to this wifi even the password was correct. Can someone help me please?

    Hello

You must know the exact name of their network (SSID) and the correct password (caps

"and all that). And they could have their router configuration so that external connections can be made
unless the information in the router will change.

  • Unable to connect to the internet after the system restore and Windows Installer (Vista)

    Hello

I have recently restored the whole system on the HP to my sister a virus that I was unable to remove it manually.
The system restore went well until it has reached the point where he was going to reinstall Windows. The computer just turned itself off and the software installation was not complete. I am able to reinstall again. I must therefore hold the CTRL + alt + delete, go to Task Manager, click on audit.exe and complete the process to turn on the computer. But I can't do anything with it in safe mode. The main problem is: I can't connect to the internet! Even if the network discovery is on it will not find my wireless network. What can I do on the internet? And is it possible to install Windows again without the CD?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

    ·        You are able to boot to the desktop in normal mode? If this isn't the case, then you get any code or message?

    ·        How did you did system restore?

    ·        Are you referring to the system recovery using the recovery partition or the drive?

I suggest that you start in safe mode with network and check if you can access the internet?

  • Unable to access network printer after the last automatic update.

After automatic security update KB2660465 and KB2661637 today, I can no longer print or access our office network printer. I think it has something to do with the Windows Firewall, but I'm not sure what to change. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. I understand the problem. After the last update, it must have been a change to the firewall. I was finally able to reinstall the FIRST printer by turning off the firewall. This allowed me to see the printer and reinstall it. It worked very well after turning on the rear firewall after installation.
