Equium L350D - DVD/CD drive is not recognized

Hello

Having a real problem with the internal DVD/CD player in my satellite.

Any DVD software I try to use my DVD drive is not recognized. I tried to use the following: Toshiba installed, Windows Media Player, iTunes.

This is the error message:
The specific drive is not found. Check the setting by going to settings-> actions-> Source settings, or otherwise verify that the disc has been correctly connect to the PC.

I hope someone can help!

Optical disc drive is correctly listed in the Device Manager and Windows Explorer?

somehow, when I tried to burn a dvd, (windows DVD Creator) the computer seems to have removed its own driver for the dvd drive (I put the disc in, it recognized that it was not a disk supported, put a new one in the drive, and create dvd windows then told me that I need to install a dvd/cd writer to complete my project). the relase button disk would not work after turning in the second disc and always used to work even after that. If I use a pin code manually to open and put a disk in the light lights up recocnizing there is something in there, but that nothing, not even spin the disc. No cd, dvd or all other discs work. Ive tried a few different driver Fixer programs, even those you pay (mender driver, driver detective - no even to recognize the missing driver) and can't seem to find a solution. cd/DVD device does not even appear in "device system' list or lists of material which must show all devices, programs or drivers... also do not show my E: / in my computer, what would be my dvd/cd drive." I tried the "regedit" and could not find the 'filter filter up/down' you are supposed to remove to fix. " filter of upper/lower case is not listed in the options.

    Hello

For the CD/DVD problem start up that convenience store and work down to jump
nothing. He is even said to continue if the CD/DVD drive is not displayed in Device Manager.
You are much less likely to solve the problem by a hit or miss approach to try this
or such. And of course, there may be a material cause.

The HP forums, ask questions and I hope that those who have had
the same issues on similar equipment that have solved the issue respond. Only way
to succeed is to give your best effort.

HP does not have a lot of online documentation and help diagnostics on their site and those
could help to resolve some of the questions withour paying for support.

Back up your data on the device and it goes back out of the box state
can be one of the best moves to solve the present problems.

    I hope this helps.

  • DVD + RW drive is not recognized

I have a XPS desktop computer and run a registry clean. After it ran, I tried to listen to a music CD and the drive does not appear on my computer in the Design Manager. Could I have deleted something in the registry? If so, how can I re - install my DVD RW? I need help! I am running Windows Vista Home Premium. When you insert the DVD or CD, you can hear the startup disk, and then it stops and nothing. As stated above, it does not appear in my legacy, or I don't know what drive letter it is labeled.

    Thanks for any help.

OK, everyone, after paying Dell Technical Support remotely in my computer and 'try' to solve my problem, they have deleted a few things in the registry, run my computer as mud after he said he was finished! STILL has not fixed the problem! Says that my DVD drive is bad and that it replace it! I cannot accept that the answer, so I started doing tests antivirus without results on infections, then went into my BIOS and looked series in car ports and which ones have been turned on and off. I lit them all, then restarted my computer. WOW! Surprise! The DVD drive was found and actually works! I had errors on the splash screen could not find other material that should have been connected to these empty ports. I went back in my BIOS and turn off unused ports. no error message more and the player works like new! After that this problem has been fixed, the computer starts more quickly actually and runs faster as well!

Thanks to all who offered suggestions on how to solve this problem! According to me, it has been resolved.

  • Pavilion p6210t: CD/DVD HP Pavilion p6210t drive is not recognized after upgrade Windows 10

HP Pavilion p6210t DVD/CD drive is not recognized after the upgrade to Windows.  DVD/CD material is: LightScribe16XmaxDVD + / R/RWSuperMultidrv.  I can't find an updated driver for this device, download and install. Thanks for any advice you can provide.

Thank you for your response.  I can't find somewhere - it now despite a lot of research - I read on a very simple solution to this problem which is (was) affecting hundreds of users HP.  In essence, the solution said that the DVD drive has in fact been recognized [as evidenced by his appearance in the BIOS] but has been "identified" and how to fix this problem was to go into the DEVICE MANAGER and delete the incorrect identification reference - then restart the computer and Windows 10 would correctly identify the DVD player and correctly in the DEVICE MANAGER list.  I decided to try this simple fix before one of the more complex solutions that were offered.  The simple solutioon worked!

  • Re: CD/DVD drive is not recognized correctly on my Equium P200

I recently bought a laptop P200D and now, I found that the CD/DVD drive is not recognized.

In Device Manager the drive icon has a yellow on exclamation and in the wealthy area it says "Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) »

I tried uninstalling the drive and then to restart the laptop but it is has not been successful. I recently downloaded and installed the Service Pack 1 for Vista and I have read that there have been problems with device drivers and wonder if there is such a body?

Are there updated drivers available for this device?

Thanks for any help you can give.

    Hi Paul,.

You don't say what model of laptop you have, but generally speaking if you are using Windows XP then you will use the standard Microsoft drivers for your scanner.

However, you can Toshiba drivers and utilities download from Toshiba web site by clicking on the Support section and downloads and selection of files to download. You will need to fill in the details of your laptop so that the list of appropriate driver (unless you have provided these details when you register).

  • Hard drive is not recognized in the BIOS - Equium A60

Hi hope someone can help. I have a Toshiba Equium EA60-173 and the hard drive is not recognized in the BIOS. When I remove the hard drive and put it in another laptop it is detected fine. I also tried another hard drive in the Toshiba and that does not work either. So I suspect the IDE controller has disappeared, but can I do to confirm this? I wish there was an option in the BIOS to force detection. I updated the BIOS but still the same.

This laptop is only just out of warranty, so if it is the controller would I need to replace the motherboard? Are there other options at my disposal?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Neil,

Unless there is some physical\problem with the cable/connector hard drive, then it is most likely that you will have a new mainboard for your laptop. I suggest you to contact an authorized service partner and ask them to check your laptop and give you an estimate of the cost of the repair. Then you can try to shop for less expensive alternatives.

    Kind regards

I'm on a computer laptop gateway and my cd player does not work all of a sudden. I can eject and put CD in there and it will hum for awhile, but nothing will happen. I went to Device Manager and it is not yet listed. I read the other topics and the problem is still not resolved, please help. Also, my HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE folder has not all folders in there, so I can't go to system/etc to delete anything because there is nothing to remove. Thank you for your time

    Hello

    Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
This will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a loose cable or
slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Download XP_CD-DVD - Fix.zip and save this file on your hard drive. Navigate to where you saved it, and double-click the file to extract the content. Find the EXE file that you extracted and double click it.  A confirmation dialog box appears when the script is done.  You may need to reboot for the change to take effect.

Works on XP and Vista. Good luck!

    ===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD

    do it right.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are

Check with your Maker system and a device for the two possible firmware updates and the

I installed a webcam, and it made my DVD - rom drive does not not with all drives. I uninstalled everything to do with the webcam and it still does not work. Can someone help me solve this problem without using the recovery disk of the product came with my laptop?

I had this problem before, but I didn't the first time, it's the webcam that has caused the problem. It s webcam trust wb - 1400T. I had to use the product recovery disc and he had a lot of hassle to install all my programs again and this time I'm in the middle of exams and can't get it all done in time for my exams, as I have vital work on here I have to do.

.. .Please help me... I think it is the driver, but I don't know how to fix it.

    Hi mate

    > I installed a webcam, and it made my DVD - rom drive does not not with all drives
To be honest I have never seen that the webcam may have a negative influence on the internal CD/DVD drive.
I see really no connection between the webcam and ODD... very strange
Do you get any error messages?

    Anyway, in my opinion, you should try these solution ideas;

    (1) remove the drive from the Device Manager CD/DVD and restart the laptop. After restarting again the operating system should recognize the STRANGE and should re-install the drivers.

    2) access the registry and delete the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters completely from the following registry key values:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
    .. then restart the laptop.

    (3) download and install the tool freeware "CCleaner". This tool repairs registry and solves several problems in System.

If this does not work, then the new installation of the OS would be wise to check if the problem could be related to a software problem.

    Best regards

  • Optical drive is not recognized in Windows 8.1 (x 64) or in the UEFI System Diagnostics.

    Description of the problem:

Optical drive is not recognized in Windows 8.1 (x 64) or in the UEFI System Diagnostics.

    Steps to recreate:

    UEFI:

    1. Start the PC in diagnosis system UEFI (F2 at the STATION)
    2. Pane controls
    3. Optical drive
    4. Sequential control
    5. Error: Optical drive not installed.

    8.1 Windows (x 64):

    1. Run Device Manager
    2. Error: No CD/DVD Drives section.
    3. Search for new hardware changes nothing.

    Relevant system specs:

Mobile: HP Pavilion 15-n023sa (construction of vanilla)

    Optical drive: HP DVDRAM gu70n

    Steps already taken to solve:

    • Replaced the DVD drive with one of the similar specs of HP Pavilion. The replaced gn70n perfectly in the other machine. No change on problem laptop. Conclusion: DVD player works, and there is no problems with Windows 8.1 (x 64).
    • Removed DVD player. Restarted the computer. Sign in to Windows. Stop. Replace the DVD drive. Start the laptop. This is trying to solve defects of material with the PnP devices; more help to solve any problems of intermittent loose connection. Conclusion: No change.
    • Ran, troubleshooting of hardware and devices, via the control panel. Problem found: material changes may not have been detected. • Ran the Microsoft FixIt troubleshooting of optical disc and auto repairman. (http://download.microsoft.com/download/F/5/8/F586FB7C-78E0-40EB-AF41-4C925F803CAF/CDDVDWin8.meta.dia... The convenience store has reported that the device was not found. He recommended to remove all power cables, power off, and various other things which have no relevance for computer laptop troubleshooting of switching equipment. He said: If the problem persists, contact the manufacturer. Conclusion: Windows troubleshooting can not solve the problem.
    • Run Windows Update to ensure that all updates and definitions have been installed. Conclusion: Windows is perfectly up to date.
    • Run a complete Rootkit and malware using Sbybot S & D 2.3 heuristic analysis. as a signature database scan using Windows Defender. Conclusion: Laptop is clean of rootkits and malware, to the best of my knowledge.

    Notes:

The DVD player is NOT appear in Device Manager, OR in this PC.

The DVD drive is NOT detected by diagnostics system UEFI.

There is reference to the DVD in BIOS drive NUMBER , other than as an option of Setup, which is generic.

The DVD player itself, works and has been verified on a different machine.

The only possible conclusion is that the optical drive port mini-SATA on the motherboard is dead.
