Equium L40 - strange question burning files using burning CD Toshiba Software

Under VISTA and using the utility software burning CD from Toshiba.
If I do very short essay three example b.wav c.wav files and burn them to a CD - RW, I get three burned files and they play fine on my CD player.
But they are the wrong set of files!

I usually find two or more copies of a file and one or more missing files.

For example, I could get b.wav or b.wav b.wav c.wav b.wav example.
All of the files I get seems random and different every time I have to erase and burn again.

I have to give up the Toshiba utility and return back using Nero or I found a way to ruin a perfectly good software utility?

I put t know how you burned these files and the options that you have chosen, but I have never noticed such problems using the software Toshiba of engraving.
However, I prefer Nero burning rom. This software is my favorite and I use Nero despite Toshiba installed software of engraving on my laptop

Best regards

  • Equium M50-164: Question about timer use & battery fan

    Hello!!

    Just put your hands on my laptop equium m50-164 today and I wanted to clarify a few issues

    first of all,

    I flashed my bios with the latest version and after restarting, fan kicks at full power and has not extinguished until I put the laptop in standby mode, this seemed to fix the problem but fan seems suddenly in much more than compared to before, fortunately the fan isn't the one 100% , but more like 15-20% every 30 seconds or one minute then goes into silent mode the fan does not reach 100%, unless I have do a reboot :),.

    I know the fan will accelerate faster based on the use of the processor (thermal) etc. but is this normal? I talked to support and they wanted me to have an immediate replacement, but I said that I would wait a few days to see if she could calm :)

    and finally looking at the electricity meter and other software tools there seems to be no calibration of the battery, with previous laptops, I noticed that numeric calculations are made based on the use of the battery and time [i.e. a timer] but with this laptop that I kind find a timer - I would of thought tha any computer laptop has this facility today!

    any advice would help

    see you soon

    Hi ephid0r

    If the Toshiba service makes an instant replacement if you should take it.
    Maybe there's something wrong with the hardware or software.

    But as Feliks has suggested, you must first reinstall the Toshiba Power Manager.
    This utility is responsible for the CPU and the cooling module activations.

    PS: The time of battery life indication occurs if you move the cursor over the icon of standby power.

  • Strange question NLS-linguistic using OracleXe

    I have an Oracle package that contains some accented characters.
    When I try to install the package via sqlplus that he complains of a string not completed. I see that it is directly linked to one of accented characters.

    I'll put the NLS_LANG variable on the command line before you start

    I am also using the XE (characterset AL32UTF8) universal edition

    Set nls_lang = AMERICAN_AMERICA. AL32UTF8
    sqlplus migrator/migrator@xe
    @migrate.pkb;

    If everything looks okay on my side. I looked at the registry, page codes, etc. settings settings and everything seems pretty normal.

    Short of using codes and the unistr y at - there another solution?

    You must set the migrate.pkb character set NLS_LANG, not to the database character set. Most likely, the file is encoded in one byte, character set WE8MSWIN1252. You should look at the hex codes of these characters to verify their encoding. Alternatively, if you see US the file correctly in Windows Notepad and file-> save slot-> coding said ANSI, then the NLS_LANG must be set to WE8MSWIN1252, not AL32UTF8.

    Of course, if the accented characters are not in Western Europe, and see you them properly in the notebook, but only in some versions we non-windows, WE8MSWIN1252 will be replaced by another appropriate encoding.

  • Strange question filter everything using the @UDA function

    I created two filters for users to write in the database only when the specified UDA exists in outline. The first filter works very well it is said than the year that has the specified UDA, users can write, but filter 2 allows users to write in the database even if the specified UDA does not exist in the outline.

    Group1: @IDESCENDANTS (ABC000), Bud, Budbase, @UDA (years, "Bud open"), @UDA (period, 'Bud Open')

    Users can only write to Budbase for the year and the month with 'Bud Open' UDA, works very well.

    Filter2: @IDESCENDANTS (ABC000), kitchen, Fcstbase, @UDA (years, "Open kitchen"), @UDA (period, "Open kitchen")

    Users can write the script of Fcstbase even if none of the members of the year or month have "Open kitchen" infact UDA UDA is not anywhere in the general plan.

    ABC000 is a member of the entity dimension, Budbase/Fcstbase are members of level zero dimension Scenario and the children of Bud/Fcst. I use sys 9.3.1.3 Essbase and I created a test user ID who has access at the server level and only access these filters.

    Can anyone suggest what could be the problem with filter2.

    Perhaps insert your outline of some members of the dimension fictitious year/time and when you do not want users to be able to write anything, assign the UDA dummy members.

  • Equium L40 10 X flashing green power light

    Hi guys,.

    I have an old Equium L40 that I haven't used in a while.

    Now when I plug the power adapter into the power green led just blinks constantly.
    I checked the blink codes, but I can't find one for mine. It simply turns green for a second then off.
    Then green for a second then off the coast and that constantly.

    I tried to remove the battery for a few minutes and then hold the power button for a minute, but I just get the same result. The adapter is one that came with the laptop and as far as I can tell works very well.

    Other ideas would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you guys!

    Hello

    Indicator power (DC IN) indicates the status of the power supply with the power adapter plugged.
    (Without flashing) Green means supply and the computer is turned on.
    The power light on the front of the computer lights green when the computer is turned on.
    Flashing orange indicates power to the computer while the laptop is in mode 'sleep'.

    Unfortunately, the DC IN green flashing red state looks like a hardware problem.
    Probably the power supplied to the laptop is abnormal or there are a few problems with electronic power on the motherboard.

    By the way: Please check the memory modules live. Blow an and test the device using that one module in each slot. Check the two modules.
    A few years ago, a friend of mine had some problems with the laptop. The flashing light indicates the issue of RAM

  • strange question use stop() to control a scenario after loadClip

    Hello, I have this strange question:

    I want to control the scenario of a swf file loaded with loadClip command.

    I wrote this code

    var loader: MovieClipLoader = new MovieClipLoader();

    loader.addListener (this);

    function onLoadComplete(_mc:MovieClip) {}

    _mc. Play()

    };

    loader.loadClip (swfname, _root.holder)

    function pause() {}

    _root.holder.stop)

    }

    function pause a button is used to stop playback of the loaded movieclip.

    strange thing is that stop() works when you test the movie by the flash application and plays from the projector. It DOES NOT WORK when he runs by embed code html in swf or swf directly.

    I checked a lot of time and the name of the 'container' is resolved, but the command does not work for his screenplay.

    thanx for help

    Daniele

    you wouldn't expect this stop() never work.  Once the loading starts, stop() no longer applies to the target of a loadClip (or loadMovie) method.

    to resolve, use the stop() on the first frame of the loaded swf file editing.

  • Equium L40 - question on the latest graphics driver

    Hello

    I have a laptop L40 and I have problems with the display driver. ?

    I use Win Xp SP3 I have all the latest drivers including Bios ver 5.5

    The machine works fantastic and I am very happy with it, except for some graphics programs the only not to include/display as it should.
    Is there a more basic graphics driver, I can try to see if it helps to solve my problem. If so, please give a link.

    Thanks for any help coming next.

    Phil_H

    Hello

    The latest graphics drivers are already published on the European driver Toshiba page.

    If you want, you can see some graphics drivers for Satellite L40 / Pro L40.

    These units are very similar to the Equium L40 and possibly there are other, more recent graphics driver version

    But generally all available drivers are already displayed on the page of Toshiba.

  • Equium L40: After bad Bios update cannot use the WLan

    Hi there hope someone can help.

    I've updated the Bios as tempo toshiba said, but I have not read the last piece. Who was that it is not for mine which is the model L40.

    I have now tried to put the right pair, but he says he can't. As I'm putting that has an earlier date.

    My main problem now is that my wireless stopped working, it says its there and so to work, I put the switch on, but he can't find any networks he used to find approximately 4 in my area

    Do I have to restore my entire system :(?

    I'm really confused about your message because the European Toshiba page provides drivers and BIOS for one Equium L40 series m.
    I found 2 different versions of the BIOS for Equium L40; a BIOS for XP and a BIOS for Vista.

    In my opinion it of almost not possible to update the BIOS with the wrong version

    However, it you have updated and used the wrong BIOS, then you must contact the ASP to help

    But first, I recommend a check of the WLan configuration

  • Question about graphics cards for Equium L40 - 10 X

    HI - new to this, but really cut so I hope someone can help me. !

    I bought an Equium L40 - 10 X in August and thought it was good for what I wanted, especially after seeking advice and addressing the 'expert' at my local pcworld.

    However, I think that the graphics card is good enough to support the games I got - Medal of honor Warchest, Hitman Triple Pack and Call of Duty 2. They all sem to recommend a graphics card than nVidia as a minimum requirement. The card in the laptop is an Intel (r) 945 Express Chipset Family (I think) and the OS is Vista Home Premium.

    I have problems include the loss of graphics and stutter during playback.

    Can I have a nVidia graphics card or is the that I've had enough but I just need to change some settings?

    Really don't have an idea, so help would be much appreciated!

    Hello Dicker

    You are shown how the customer can purchase the wrong product. It may be your fault or due to bad Advisory Service. L40 books are pretty cheap with the average material. This laptop is good for everyday work (Office Automation, writing letters and surfing) but certainly not for the complex graphics applications and games.

    Sorry but there is not much to do. Only thing to do is to increase the RAM to the maximum, but forget the graphics card upgrade. Something like this is not possible.

    Good bye

  • Equium L40-10 X - cannot install Windows

    Hi all

    First post real but existed under and turned off for a while. I hope someone here can help!

    I have a Toshiba laptop Equium L40-10 x computer with a strange problem. He came me second user with the problem already so I don't know any history other than what I tried. When you start the machine it comes up with an error TRAP 00000006 exception and stops. The hard drive has been low-level formatted, formatted and partitioned and has nothing on this subject. The memory has been replaced and confirmed functional. When you try to use the recovery cd (F12 at startup), it goes to the menu option select boot, I select the CD player, and he made some noises and then the error message appears. I also tried a WIN XP and WIN Vista CD with the same effect.

    Googling the problem seems to suggest problems NTLDR or memory but drive has nothing on this matter and memory was tested and upheld the fine.

    Other possibilities are the drive CD or BIOS. BIOS version 2.10 and I know the available BIOS is 2.30 but unable at present to find a way to upgrade the bios. I have a USB floppy drive available.

    So, that's the problem, any thoughts?

    Thank you

    This is strange, but I think that this problem could be caused by a faulty HARD drive.

    So I would test the drive with the Drive Fitness Test:
    http://www.HitachiGST.com/HDD/support/download.htm#DFT
    With this tool, you can test the HARD drive. Download the CD image on this website, burn it to a CD or DVD and then boot from it.
    There is also a user guide if you want to know more about it.

  • Equium L40 - Vista won't start after installation of product recovery

    Hello

    I had to realize a product uses recovery provided restore disk on an Equium L40 computer laptop (PLS41). The recovery procedure done his job to the end, reformats and copy all the files and then restarts. Now the problem starts...
    The pc gets in front of the BIOS boot screen, then it goes completely black with only a cursor to underscore flashing in the upper corner of the screen. No HARD or CD-rom drive activity.

    I did the cover about ten times now. All with the same result. I tried the repair procedure using a Vista boot CD and I also tried using another disk supplied with the computer, anytime upgrade from Vista. Here they are without defects, see the hard drive and shows that the vista files are on it, also sees the winRE partition.

    I tired even fresh install from the disc at any time. It also reformats the disk, copies and decompresses all files needed, begins to install the updates on the disk and then said: he needs to restart. It restarts and goes to black screen with flashing underscore cursor. What happens if I press the 'coup of any key to boot from CD' or leave it to boot from the HARD drive.

    I tried to fix this for two days now, including endless hours of forum to research, the computer belongs to my friend gets very angry I am. I need help. No one knows how to fix?

    Hello

    According to your message, I think that the HARD drive is faulty.
    I think there's a defective recording of MBR (MBR) of the drive and therefore the laptop refuses to boot.

    One question; have you tried to set the BIOS default settings? If this is not the case, try this.

    If it doesn t help and the laptop still does not start upward, then you should ask ASP for verification.
    I think it s a problem of HARD disk and, possibly, the HARD drive must be replaced!

    Greetings

  • Installing OS on Equium L40

    I just got a laptop Equium L40, the former owner of a partioned drive, then unallacated the partion and extended the c drive, so there are programs that reside on the hard drive, but cannot be started, the computer will run most hiddious vista OS. I spoke with Tosh who informs me that there is a tool to burn restore discs included in the tosh software, but can't find how to run this software, the small partition tosh nicked from my hard drive is intact, I would be recognizing any entry of the forum

    have also tried to reinstall vista, xp and windows 7 with the same result to the hard drive not being not not able to be contacted also tried to integrate the sata also drivers with the same result, another that the machine seems to work very well in the case of this machine it not Mater what OS is on it I prefer xp or win 7 as like many others find it very bloated vista and who need a rennie

    After reading your ad I n t understand one thing: this portable plant now or not?
    If Yes, you can try to create the recovery disk using preinstalled creator Toshiba Recovery tool, but if you use OS installed by you or a previous owner, including the different structures of HARD drive partitions, I fear that you will not be able to access saved m HARD drive recovery image.

    > also tried to reinstall vista, xp and windows 7 with the same result of the disk hard cannot be contacted
    I put t understand it. What do you mean with contacted?
    Please enter the F2 BIOS settings at startup and set it to default settings. After this try to start the bootable Win7 disc and check if HARD drive is recognized correctly.
    By the way: If you don t have to factory settings now I think the only way to get own pre-installed OS is the use of the Microsoft installation disc.

  • Equium L40 - cannot boot from recovery CD

    Hi, can anyone help?

    I want to use the recovery cd, but when I press f12 at startup and the drive in the menu, nothing happens.
    After a few moments, the laptop starts normally. Its an equium L40.

    Help, please

    Have you tried changing the boot order in BIOS on a CD/DVD first and then boot from the CD?
    There is also another possibility for the start of the STRANGE.
    You can press the C key immediately after the laptop is turned on. This would allow booting from the CURIOUS reader.

    But I have a few questions;
    Have you tried to boot from different bootable CD s like Win XP, Linux, etc. ? Is this possible?
    Perhaps disk failure?

    I think that this could the main reason why the notebook missing CD.

    What do you think?
