Equium M-50-216. CD/DVD burning problems

Hello.

I recently bought the Equium M50. Now, I can't for the life of burn me to CD / DVD.

Initially, I put this the fact that the service IMAPI CD Burning Com has been disabled. I started and put in place tp start automatically then rebooted the machine.

However, I can not YET write with this drive. It reads and plays CD and DVD very well, but WILL not write.

If I slip and fall explore it tells me that the disk is not accessible, and iTunes launches just the disc from the drive.

I tried several types of CD DVD would be too much...

Now, like many of you guys I HATE when computers try to tell me I can't do something!

Is this a problem that someone met before? I tried to browse the forum but you can't really see too that helps.

Thank you.

Hello help

Believe me, I won't tell you that you can't do something, but I really do not understand that you have this kind of problems with the new unit. When you start the machine for the first time that the unit of factory settings and hardware configuration is optimized.

Toshiba recovery image include SONIC record now software that allows you to create CDs and DVDs. You can remove and install the clean burning as NERO software and it works well. I have gift? t know what you do with your unit and why you do experiments with IMAPI-Service.

I just recommend you to check the data of the value. There must be C:\WINDOWS\System32\imapi.exe

If this does not please recover unit with supplied recovery media and enjoy life.

I have DVD burning problems. When I use software engraving the image is usually copied ok and then the burning process starts, which usually lasts only a few moments, then the machine spits out the disc burnt and wasted.

I usually use Corel DVD Copy 6, but have you tried TOSHIBA and other programs such as NERO. With the help of Corel VideoStudio, it burns discs with a success rate of 90%, but the problem comes when you try to copy my own created disks.

I tried different types of discs (that is to say + R and - R), and I also tried burning speeds.

In my opinion, you should not think about buying replacements. If you think that the drive does not properly contact service. If necessary the reader will be replaced free of charge.

I have now added a "Pan and Zoom" menu with a main marker at 00:00:00:00, 21 scene markers and a cleat to 01:29:32:17 (the end of the film). This Web page is impossible to obtain. I'm running on a PC with Windows 8.1.

Thank you once again. I burned the DVD!

It is the first film for which I have reached the stage of burning. I'm not sure why she didn't in the first place. I tried to burn the "no menu" version, but at the time, was shot the DVD itself - I wonder when he reached this point?

So, I burned the "no menu" version to another DVD, that worked, then the version of menu, with no cleat to a third DVD, which reads perfectly.

Now that I have a successful routine, I'll stick to it.

    Thanks for all your help.

  • CD/DVD burner problems said that it is damaged or missing? Anyone has any ideas to help me solve this problem?

Hello, I'm trying to fix my burner but I tried to uninstall and reboot my computer to see if the problem might be to set but he told me that my driver cd is missing or damaged, and I don't know what to do besides put my computer back to factory settings. So if anyone knows something I can do like that I don't have to put it back to factory settings it would be great.

Remember - this is a public forum so never post private information such as numbers of mail or telephone!

Ideas: My CD/DVD burner does not work and it is said that it is damaged or missing. How can I fix it?

    • You have problems with programs
    • Error messages
    • Recent changes to your computer
    • What you have already tried to solve the problem

    Hello

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
a process that solves the problem.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue
    below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward
cable or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    ===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD
Burn and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational so that other parts
    do it right.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are
the entries in registry that the troubleshooter does not solve and those who "might" be the cause.

Check with your Maker system and a device for the two possible firmware updates and
the correct registry entries for your car.

Here are the keys that I of course are those in question - for the subkeys of the CD/DVD drive
as there will be other subkeys in these keys. Do not forget to ask specific keys involved as well as
    the parameters.

  • Satellite M50 CD/DVD burning problems

I recently puirchased a Satellite M50 with the CD/DVD Multi-lecteur. Toshiba literature indicates that it can write both write - once and several CD and DVD - writing.

While I can burn on CD - RW and DVD - RW (DVD + RW) I can't burn discs CD - R or DVD-R (or DVD + R). The error message is something in the sense of ' does not support the driver (or reader) write once discs.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Thank you

    Hello

Well, it's not easy to say why you can t burn on some media. Maybe it s a malfunction of the media?
Have you tried to burn CDs or DVDs from different manufacturers?
I use TDK media and I m very happy. I found an interesting article on the CD/DVD burning.

In any case, on all our laptop Tecra S2, it is quite impossible to write one DVD correctly. DVD TEAC DV-W28E material, the driver being used is by Microsoft

    Hello

First of all, it would be very interesting to know if you are using the Toshiba recovery image.
Second, have you used different DVD and have you checked if this error message appears with other burning programs?

I checked the page of the Toshiba driver and found an update of firmware for Tecra S2.
In addition, there is also a DVD ram driver.
I suggest you to install these applications.

  • Satellite C850D - DVD burning problem

Four months ago, I bought a laptop C850D - 12 L to replace my laptop computer another death.

A couple of days, I tried to burn on a DVD jpg files; I had not done this before on the new machine.
Everything seems fine until she reach the finishing process and the disk does not end.

I tried to fire using Windows own engraving option, Nero and I even downloaded Ashampoo Burning Studio, but whenever I get the same results, i.e. nothing gets burned on a disc. I wasted 12 discs already try all variants of files, engraving, programs, etc., but each of them fails.

I don't think it's the drive, I think it's a software problem, because * I am able to burn files to a CD *. The player plays also bought the DVD shop so that the part of okay - it's just finish burned DVD that is the problem.

I downloaded a few programs that may have affected things, (Nero was already on the laptop when I bought it), they are: VLC player and DVD Styler - I downloaded them only that Windows 8 has no creation of DVD as Windows 7 programs don't.

I phoned John Lewis, where I bought the PC, but they were not able to help, nor were Toshiba, who said it must be a software problem and asked me if I would like to speak to someone else for advice, even if it would cost me. seeing that I have a two year warranty on it, I refused.

Drivers from the DVD were dated 2006 and a search inside the Device Manager said that these are the latest drivers.

I went to the website of Toshiba and found a zip file driver, which has been updated in 2013. I downloaded which, to reveal the ten files, three of which are uncompressed application files. I tried to run all three of the latter with no apparent effect. I even tried to search these files when you try to update DVD drivers in Device Manager, but he acknowledged not all ten driver files (mentioned above), even though I copied these to a more convenient location in My Documents folder.

I would be grateful for any suggestions as to how I can solve this problem.

    Best regards, Martin.

    > I don't think it's the drive, I think it's a software problem, because I am able to burn files to a CD.

I think you use not entirely compatible DVD disks.
It was my problem burning DVD disc.

Recommend test you the discs DVD-R from different manufacturers but I had the best experience using R TDK and Verbatim DVD R

PS: Windows system using common Microsoft CD/DVD driver. This is why there is no special driver for optical disc player sound is always part of the system.
