Equium M50 - the battery won't charge
Hi, I need some advice on a problem of load on my PC.
Battery does not charge and the level indicator shows a constant 5%.
The machine is about 15 months old and does she not get hard usage, probably an average of 5 to 10 hours per week. Usually, it is powered by the sector, so the battery tends to be kept filled to the top.
Before I go and replace the battery, y at - it no diagnosis, I can do as a user?
Looking forward to a response.
Thank you very much
Steve
Hello
No, I think Don t that it is meaningless to make a diagnosis because it sounds like a hardware related issue and I think that it would be preferable to bring your machine to a service partner chartered for a checkup of material, or probably an exchange of defective components.
To find the nearest available in your country service partner, you can try this link:

My laptop is plugged in, but the battery won't charge
Hello
In the last two months, capability of my laptop to charge its battery has degraded.
She went to a battery completely (100%), not being able to load beyond 98% and then 66% and 30%, and now finally, it says "0% availability (plugged in, charge)", but it never increases support. Thus, the laptop works when plugged into the charger, but does not illuminate when it is attached only on the battery.
I rebooted the computer several times - first to stop the machine, then unplug it, remove the battery, press and hold the Start button for a minute, then put the battery back, plug the charger in and rebooting the machine.
I installed updates for "Stacks" (IE. Microsoft AC adapter, compatible ACPI Microsoft control method battery and battery Composite Microsoft) in Device Manager.
I also uninstalled the Microsoft ACPI complaint method stack and shutdown and restarted the laptop several times.Earlier I called Toshiba support and update the BIOS of 1.50 to 1.70, then restarted the computer, but yet again, the battery won't charge.
I bought a new battery, which showed that it was fully charged when when I have attached to my laptop, but when exhausted 0% load, I got the same message as for the other battery: "0% availability (plugged in, load).
I am really puzzled. If not, how can I try to increase the capacity of my laptop battery?
In my opinion, old battery was certainly defective.

I get the error message is: AC power adapter type cannot be determined. Your system will run more slowly and the battery won't charge.
Hello
(1) when you receive this error message?
(2) what is the brand and model of your computer?
(3) did you change on your computer before this problem?
It seems that the adapter has gone wrong, I suggest you to connect another card and see if the problem still occurs.
You can also contact the computer manufacturer for assistance on this issue. -

has ran battery optimizer, and now the battery won't charge
Old ze4100 HP laptop running XP Service Pack 3
you will probably need a new battery
If you want the best performance for a battery, you must set its memory
full charge, then dump complete, again, and again, three times, then you will have a full brief on the battery,
also, if you are going to be on the current for an extended period, I read that you should take the battery, but I can't guarantee it.
I do not think that an optimizer will do anything for a battery, but that's my opinion :)
above is to search google for the battery support, hp, you can browse the net and find a solution.

Your laptop is plugged in and the battery won't charge. __
MY LAPTOP WILL ONLY START WHEN CONNECTED TO THE UNIT FROM THE WALL BUT NOT SE LOAD AT ALL. I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO LOAD A NIGHT & STILL NO CHARGE WHAT SO EVER. WHAT CAN I DO TO FIX THIS? WHAT IS MY HARDWARE?
The battery would be my first guess that the PC works directly on the charger - but it could also be the program to load the battery and connections. Remove and replace the battery to make sure that the connections are solid. If you have another battery (or access to another battery, you can try to see if the problem persists or if he disappears - then you will be very well known.) In any case, if this is not possible, I recommend that take you it to a repair shop computer (or return it to the manufacturer) for the diagnosis, repair or replacement.
I don't know any way to test this situation without special equipment or replacement parts. You can always try to re - install the operating system to rule out a software problem (if you want to do business with what this implies in terms of data backup and reinstall applications and reconfigure the settings and others). Without info on the manufacturer, brand and model (and operating system), I can't help you more in this option.
I hope this helps.
Good luck!

My satellite phone battery does not light and the battery won't charge (rest on 2%)
Basically, my laptop is 3 months old and I don't know why it's acting weird. First of all, when I bought the laptop in June 06... the first week the laptop has no power in battery mode. So I stopped using the battery mode and still had to use my power adapter to power my laptop.
Now 4 weeks later, I removed the battery to the rear and put again. Guess what the battery started working. Now 2 months later the same problem occurs, only that this time after removing the battery to it still turn on and the battery says 2% and also fails to load.
So I m stuck with my son again... can anyone help?Hello
In my opinion the best solution is to confront your local dealer with this problem. If I were you I wouldn't waste time. Unit is fairly new, warranty still valid and unit should operate.
Perhaps is there some problem with electronic supply power.

Satellite A30 PSA30E - battery won't charge
Hello
I have a Toshiba Satellite A30 laptop ((n° de pièce = PSA30E-00E5-FR) and recently when plugged in, the battery is not, in fact he tell Chargers.) When the laptop is turned off, if you plug the battery icon orange lights and charges of battery, but when you start the laptop to halfway through start orange icon battery turns off and the battery won't charge. If you start the laptop just using the battery once it is in place and ongoing enforcement if you plug the nothing happening for example the battery charge orange icon does not illuminate.
The power is always on the laptop the screen stays on its setting of intensity, but the laptop turns off when the battery runs down to 0%.
I removed the battery and tried power the laptop just using the power grid, but the laptop does not turn on.Any ideas what wrong?
If it is the battery which batteries would be compatible with my laptop to replace and how do 2nd hand/battery cost these days for my laptop?
My battery model number = PA3250U-1BRS
K000002280I found a battery on a site that resembles a Toshiba Satellite A35 (don't remember if it's A30 or Pro A30) - looking at the Toshiba Satellite A35, it's the same as my Toshiba Satellite A30 it would be compatible?
Thanks for your time...
Hello
Eventually it s a battery but problem is just a suggestion.
I do not recommend buying a second hand battery because second hand battery will discharge a lot faster.
In my opinion, you should buy a new one.I googled a little bit for PA3250U-1BRS and found a few deals online, it seems that you can get it for 50-60 euros
Regarding the battery A35.
I think that it should be compatible with your laptop. The A35 is a Toshiba US series (A30 is the European model) and it of very similar to A30. -
(plugged in, load) but the battery is not charging
Hello!
I have a problem with my hp laptop Pavilion dv6 - 2190ev.
The laptop cannot start if the charger is connected only (and the battery). It will only start if the battery is on. Also, the led and the laptop displays: (plugged in, load) but the battery won't charge!
The battery and charger are ok, because I tried on another laptop and work there!
So, the problem seems to be on the laptop. I also update the BIOS and the problem persists.
Can someone help me solve this problem?
Looks like you did a few good troubleshooting at this point. One thing which is ofter overlooked in these questions is the motherboard. Here is an article by HP, battery not power Notebook or hold a Charge.
Please take a look. There are suggestions for troubleshooting for the power supply, motherboard and battery, as well as links to other useful information. I'm sorry this isn't a simple solution, but you could just find very useful information in the article.
Good luck with it,

Satellite Pro L500: amber flashing indicator - battery won't charge
When power charge light blinks yellow.
Battery does not charge and if the battery has been removed the laptop stops. When this problem does not occur.
In addition, when the power cord is removed, battery charge for a few moments then yellow flashing lights and load stops. When the stop, the battery charges normal and 100% charged battery gives almost 4 hours of time.
Can you please guide on the problem. Is the power supply problem? or the battery? or the card mother/material?
How to check the problem?
It seems that you already posted a similar topic topic with your laptop a few years ago.
http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=63225In the first case, it seems that your battery was the troublemaker.
You are talking about charging light. I m not very well what LED it should be.
There are 5 LEDs - from left: DC IN / power / battery / HDD, ODD / Bridge Media SlotThe first DC IN indicator lights green when power is form adapter correctly provided HQ. However, if the output voltage of the AC adapter is abnormal or if power outages computers, this LED will turn off.
The second left power led lights green when the laptop is turned on. If turn you the phone mode standby, this indicator flashes orange.
The third battery indicator show the conditions of the accusation of pulp. Green indicates that the battery is fully charged, orange indicates the battery is charging and orange blinking indicates a low battery level.
Question:
Are you able to turn on the unit without the battery, but using only an adapter connected?
Usually, this should be possible even if the battery isn't inserted. -
Satellite L500 - battery won't charge
Hello
I had a problem last week - my laptop (Satellite L500) works well on alternating current, but the icon shows "plugged in, not load ' and the battery charge is at 0%. So if I remove the outgoing cable it runs immediately. Lighting load LED on the front of the battery is not more.
Laptop is a little more than two years, but works well, everything original Toshiba (battery and charger). I had noticed recently that the battery life was not what it was when lappy was new, but it lasted at least 45 minutes or more, so I knew the battery was endangered, but it is hard to believe it's just failed when two weeks ago could load and run OK?
Any ideas?
See you soon,.
Rebecca> so I knew the battery was on the exit door but find it's hard to think he's just failed when two weeks ago could load and run OK?
I think that nothing is impossible, that it means that the battery could be defective.
Of course, it is my personal opinion, but I see only two possibilities: either its battery problem or motherboard problem. So if I was you, I would check if the problem persists with a new battery tested.
By the way: you can also view this short work around:
-disconenct the battery and ac adptor
-Press the button power (30-40 seconds long)
-connect the battery and AC adapter and turn on the device
-to check if the battery can be charged. -

Battery won't charge properly on a Satellite A series
Hello
I still have a problem with my battery.
First of all my original battery is damaged.
The computer showed first 100% load and a minute later it was zero. So I thought, ok my battery is damaged.I buyed a new. Now I have installed the battery, a few days ago, and my battery is only at 60% load.
Is it possible, that my charger in laptop computer is damaged? The battery must be charged in an hour I think. That would be good.
Someone know a problem like this?Oxford
Hello
> The battery must be charged in an hour I think. That would be good.
This is not correct in general charge time depends on the laptop model and the battery. But usually it takes more than an hour at full load.
Check your manual. It should be mentioned on the battery charge time.In your case, I'll try to load and discharge the battery several times and then check the status of the battery.
