Equium P200D - restore original BIOS?

Toshiba Tempo attracted my attention the existence of a Bios updated for my laptop, but on installation, the system froze and now it reboots at all (blank screen) as part of the installation that I was asked if I wanted to backup the current Bios, I did (in BIOS-BAK), but how do I now get into the system in order to access the back upward and come back to the original Bios?

Any suggestions gratefully received!

Hello

I agree with the user above. The old BIOS can only be reinstalled if the update went well.

Now, in your case, you need professional help form an authorized service provider. Technicians need to be reflash ROM. module

    Model: HP Pavilion m7-1015dx

    Problem:

I tried to update the BIOS by using this file:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-124651-1&cc=us&DLC=en&LC=en...

    Release: 2013-10-08
    File name: sp63801.exe [1/1, 6.56 M]
    Version F.29

He gave me a Blue Screen of Death and the computer restarted. After the restart I only get a black screen, the fan comes on but there is no text and no way to access the BIOS, or the start menu.

The led caps lock starts to blink twice, then stops for 1 ~ second then blinks twice again and again, indefinitely. This, according to HP, suggests a failure of the BIOS Corruption.

    What I tried:

I do not have the HP recovery partition, so I tried to install the two update of UEFI BIOS HP SoftPAQ and HP UEFI support SoftPAQ environment on a FAT32 USB key named HP_TOOLS. I tried these tools separately, at the same time. I tried them with 3 different bios downloaded from this site. I hold the button windows and B, then turn on the computer. Nothing happens. I tried Fn and B, holding them for different periods, there are no beeps, no text on the screen, nothing. The led on the USB key blinks ten times at the beginning and then stops, then starts flashing caps lock. I tried to put the .bin file in different folders in the USB port, including the root, same result. No.SIG file is in the bios I downloaded.

I am on mobile, excuse the errors. What Miss me?

I would be very grateful if you could send me a link to the original bios for the EQUIUM A200-15i.

    Thanks in advance, Michael

    Hello

On the European driver Toshiba page, you will always find new versions of BIOS.
Older versions of BIOS are not downloadable, and I think that you will need to contact the ASP in your County to get this older BIOS.

  • Factory reset for Windows 7 will restore my BIOS too to its original state when I bought it?

I now use Windows 8, I bought my laptop in JULY 2012. It came with Windows Home Premium and I have the recovery disc for Windows 7. I intend to factory reset my laptop because of my disappointment with Windows 8 and supprt for Windows 8.

I want to know if the "factory Reset" will restore the BIOS of the laptop in its original state. I mean I have my BIOS set to update to the latest. I want to return to its former State. How long is the factory reset also takes? I own edition HP DV6T Quad 7000 with 32 GB WSSD.

Intel RST does not have anything, my HARD drive is shown in non-RAID and there is no way I can change it to RAID. My last option is to try the Factory Reset and see if it helps. I'm sure that TSRI will work if my BIOS is restored to the original condition with everything so it starts to detect my HDD in RAID.

    Hello

A factory image recovery will not affect the version of BIOS or current settings. The duration during which the factory image recovery takes wil depend on what type of recovery media that you have. If you have a usb recovery media that it will probably wait maybe thiry minutes. Use you a recovery value disk while recovery might take a few hours to complete.

Once you start the recovery not to touch the keyboard.

Make sure that the wireless is turned on before commit you to the recovery.

    Best regards

  • Restore the original BIOS settings?

    All the:

I made a blunder and entered the thought of BIOS there was a safety for why lock Windows 7 wouldn't boot with my Nvidia GTX 590.  So I disabled the security for each PCI slot.  Uggghh... Now I get a POST beep and no boot up to BIOS at all.

Should I just remove the battery on the MB and put it back to get my original BIOS settings?

If you more pop to HP.COM support pages and search your PC, there are manuals for the motherboard for each system. And they show you how to reset your CMOS. Here is an example for a motherboard of Chicago:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02854392

Scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see the "Clearing CMOS Settings"

    Good luck

  • P6-2207ep: using recovery system reinstall the original BIOS?

    Hello

I want to do a system restore because WIndows 7 has accumulated a few errors that prevent the use of some programs to me and I was wondering if:

1: the system recovery reinstalls original BIOS or not?

The reason why it is so important for me to know is because I upgraded to a graphics card that required an update of the BIOS, getting only a black screen otherwise...

According to the information on the system recovery it says it will reinstall the hardware drivers, so I expect to include the BIOS but wanted just to be sure...

2 + 3: there is an update of the BIOS for my Windows PC 8 options once installed, it cannot be restored to an earlier version.  System recovery will always be able to rewrite the BIOS for a precedent? If I install this version of the BIOS, it will cause problems for my windows 7 system recovery?

    Thanks for your attention!

    JoaoM

System recovery affects only the contents of the hard drive; It has nothing to do with the BIOS.

  • Black screen on Equium P200D blocking

I bought an Equium P200D about two weeks ago and it keep "black screening" on me. Without warning, it would be empty screen, no mouse, the keyboard is unresponsive, caps lock, shift etc. is more changed their lights. Click briefly on the power switch, it wasn't in mode 'sleep'. The only solution I found was to hold down the power button, then restart.

I myself am sick of this problem so I reinstalled Vista. After the long list of SP1 updates and an update of the video driver, it stays black screened. So I tried upgrading the BIOS. So far so good. No more black screens. Two days running this laptop is not black projected onto me.

Note there is another black screen blocking out there - but it is not the same. In the other, you get a mouse and can use CTRL-ALT-DELETE to get a task manager and run explorer.exe to recover. This black screen, I found usually happened after the system went to bed or while you are using.

    Pete

Thanks for this message from Pete.
I noticed the empty screen after wake up form hibernation on Vista laptop too.
As you update the BIOS solve this problem successfully.

  • Equium P200D - reduce the brightness of the indicators before LED

I have a laptop Toshiba Equium P200D-139, model number PSPBNE-004003KS model name.

The façade has four LED indicator, color blue and visible on the screen open or closed. They are for the input DC power, battery, and HARD drive.

    _My problem and question: _

Led lights are extremely bright. In fact, they are so bright that they are a source of severe distraction, especially in a dark room. I'd say it's clearly a design flaw. They must be performed in a smaller current, be placed behind a darker filter. * Is it possible to reduce the intensity of the LEDS using software? * I was wondering if a command-line script or something similar may be available to do this - I did once something similar to toggle the CPU fan on my old Toshiba Satellite CT 210.

    _Background: _

I bought the laptop a few days ago (March 2008), for £399. Is for me very good report quality / price, but in my opinion it is rented by the above-mentioned design LED fault and a very cheap feeling keyboard, with keys that creak and stick to the opportunity. The built-in speakers are also low-power. I wonder if it is a version produced exclusively for this store at a certain price point and that these questions are unintentionally introduced?

    Thank you

Rich (a friend of Claire set up the machine for her!)

    Hello rich

As a first step, I would like to say that I have the same model of laptop Satellite P200D-111. To be honest, I don't understand why write you about the problems. For me you just wrote on your personal opinion. It is logical that each of us has different opinions and I can understand you. But why all this set as a kind of design flaw. Sorry, but this is really ridiculous. Can you give me 100 different products and if I want to I'll find a design fault on each of them.

Back to your question: all you can do is disable the SATELLITE led (BIOS settings > advanced > last option) but all the other LEDs placed in the Middle cannot be disabled and the LED intensity can be reduced. You can use tape and cover these LEDs.

What about keyboard: I really don't have what you would expect. The keyboard is really stable and the buttons feel good. I use it for work and have really no problem at all.
In the end, you need to know for this money, you have very good laptop. If you need better quality, why you didn t buy laptop for £1000. As you know all laptop manufacturers have models of different laptops. It's your choice.

More money, better quality. But I still think that this Satellite P200D money is really good for laptop. Do you know that only Satellite/Equium P200 has 6 USB ports? Not bad! What do you think?

Good luck and enjoy this cute portable!

  • Qosmio X 500-how do to restore the BIOS?

    HY

My Qosmio x 500 has worked (from the point of view of cooling), until I made a very big mistake. I did upgrade the BIOS to version 2.9 of the official website of the Toshiba and now my laptop stops in games after 5 min. Before this update, I had no such problem. I'm so very shure it's this BIOS version error.
If someone can tell me how to restore the BIOS on Qosmio X 500, I'd appreciate it.

    Hello

This BIOS downgrade option you want to say is not possible as on Toshiba site only the most recent version can be downloaded. Latest version of BIOS is also the most stable version if BIOS downgrade is not important.
It is possible to the ASP.

I can t imagine this new version of BIOS is causing this problem.
You use the pre-installed Windows version with * original * Toshiba display driver (nVidia no)?
Do you have a performance maximum cooling option in Windows power options?

  • Equium P200D - question about the memory usage

    Can anyone help?

I just bought an Equium P200D and noticed it uses 700 MB to 800 MB (minimum 40%) of memory even when not doing anything, there is an AMD x 2 with ATI onboard 62.

Is that correct under Vista or something wrong: the system seems slow.
    Any help would be great.

    Thanks in advance
    Justin

    Hi Justin

Don t worry buddy there is nothing wrong!

Fact is that the Vista operating system eat resources of the laptop! He needs a lot more resources as previous operating system MS

  • Equium P200D - does not load

I have an Equium P200D who did not pay correctly, I bought a new charger and it worked fine for a while. However I noticed that the laptop has not been held liable. Now the laptop does not load, and even with ac power plugged he won't shoot upward.

I'm assuming that the battery exceeds the usefulness, but it should not start when plugged into the mains, with battery in or out? So can I assume that support on the laptop is useless?

    any help would be appreciated

    Hi blueknowz,

    > and even with ac power plugged he won't shoot upward.
This means that the laptop doesn't start over even the AC/DC adapter is connected, right?

Well, the computer should start even when the AC/DC adapter is connected but the battery is defective. If the battery is not important, you can use Notepad with AC/DC adapter only.

If the computer laptop doesn t start it looks like a malfunction of the motherboard. It is maybe something wrong with the s load control.
An accurate diagnosis can be made from an authorized service provider. Do guys say sabout this behavior?

  • Need the original BIOS for Satellite A210 - 1AO PSAELE

    Hi all!

long in vain looking for the original BIOS for my satellite A210-1AO PSAELE-03Q00FRU (Vista32bit preinstalled).

Unfortunately I've updated and laptop lost the ability to disable.
VERY noisy DWD - ROM (TS-L632H) through the BIOS (but it worked without a doubt with the original BIOS)
It is also impossible to turn it off through the Device Manager (tried several times).

I looked for BIOS anywhere where I could (Yes, I tried to download & support from Toshiba for Europe, USA, Canada, China, Russia - no. satellite A210 PSAELE BIOS in lists, even for the A200 PSAELE).

Written in support of the Russia of Toshiba - no result. the point is that I don't know bios original version for my model, so I tried BIOS version 1.1, 1.4, 1.5, 1.8, 1.9, 2.0, 2.3 - no result.
The latest idea is to physically remove the DVD-ROM, but it is the solution.

So where can I find that BIOS? or you recoomend a truly customer friendly toshiba can support office?
    Thanks in advance!

  • Satellite U400-18E (PSU44E) - searching for original BIOS file

My bios crashed. I'm looking for a bios file for Toshiba Satellite U400-18E (PSU44E). Toshiba site offers me only update the bios, but I need the bios file. There is no information what kind of motherboard in my Toshiba. According to the information on the motherboard can I find bios file.

    Hi pkerk,

Why update the BIOS crashed and why you did an update?

Anyway, what you can download from Toshiba Web site is the latest version of the BIOS with the update program that is based on Windows. I've never seen other versions of BIOS only and it would be useless because the new version is more stable and corrects the most problems.

Maybe you can get the original BIOS file to an authorized service so get in touch with the guys.
Normally they can reflash the ROM module for you because they have professional tools. :)
