Equium U400 Windows Vista graphical glitch

Hi all

I ve recently purchased the above machine and I would have been very happy with it if it wasn't graphical glitch. It usually appears after a few minutes of work, and it blurs the colours, to look like twisted enough (IE background is for example for some reason any blue-green instead of white, which makes it annoying to work with. There are also artifacts and so on. I downloaded the latest drivers from this site. I m running Vista Home Edition 32-bit

Help, please.

Hello

What is your laptop pre-installed with Toshiba (factory settings) recovery image?
Can test you it please with external display? It will be interesting to see how it looks there?
I just hope that everything is OK on the external display.

Please post the result and we can continue the discussion.

  • Equium L10: Windows Vista Beta2 - peripheral unknown

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Equium L10 with Windows XP loaded as default but I installed VISTA Beta2 "public dissemination" on this issue and because it is only 1.5 GHz Celeron CPU with 512 MB of RAM, it worked fine, but I have a problem that I hope I can get help with users in this forum, and especially those who have the same or similar Equium model as I have?

Okay, after VISTA installation, I checked in the Device Manager and noticed "unknown device". After checking the info given in its properties, I've detailed below:

Geographical area: ACPI Microsoft compatible controller built-in
    Value: ACPI\ACPI 0001 * ACPI0002

When I reinstalled XP again, I went to the Manager of devices/batteries/Microsoft SMART Battery, the entry for Microsoft SMART Battery subsystem 'ACPI\ACPI0002\6 & 28CA 2229 & 0'.

Notice the "ACPI0002" info given for the "unknown device" in VISTA is the same info given for "Microsoft SMART Battery subsystem" in Windows XP. So I'm left wondering if the unknown device Vista is Microsoft SMART battery subsystem and if yes, why VISTA installed the driver for it?

Can someone help to find a driver for the "unknown device" in VISTA?

    Concerning
    Brave

    Hello

The unknown device appears because the driver is missing.
Unfortunately, at this time you will not find any what Toshiba supported drivers for Beta 2 of Windows. It is a beta and not official version on the market.
I think that if this OS will be official, supported so you will also find the necessary drivers.

  • Windows Vista / Aero on my Equium M70

Hello. I just downloaded Windows Vista RC1 for my M70 that only, I bought a couple of months it is from Curry. It has Vista capable sticker on it and the seller has confirmed that Vista will work properly with 3D enhancements.

Of course, I want to have a full experience of Windows Vista. Yet, Windows Aero does not work on my machine because of the graphics card: Mobile Intel (r) 82915 GM/GMS/910GML. I didn't bother installing the basic version again. I did some research for the past hours. The equipment meets the requirements of Vista but it's the Intel driver that needs to be updated and Intel have yet to put the pilot. I sent them an email about this, and they said that it is not their policy to disclose information about software that may or may not be current. They also stressed that Vista is not officially released yet.

What I want to know is, Intel released a driver for my machine/chipset compatible with Windows Aero, even after that Vista has been officially released? He has seriously upset that my laptop, that I spent so much may not be at the height.

    Help, please!

    Hello

I found this info on one of the European sites of Toshiba on Vista.

The "Windows Vista Capable" designation is given to Windows Vista Capable Toshiba notebooks that meet the following minimum requirements. Computers laptop Toshiba with Vista Capable logo can be upgraded to support the Windows Vista operating system.
A Windows Vista Capable laptop includes at least:
    -A modern processor
-512 MB of system memory or more
-A DirectX 9 capable graphics processor

All portable Windows Vista Capable will be able to run at least the base Windows Vista experiences. To enjoy the full experience of Windows Vista, including the Windows Aero user experience, ask for a Windows Vista Premium Ready designated compatible laptop.

"Windows Vista Premium Ready" designation is given to a Windows Vista Capable laptop that meets the minimum recommended for Home Premium, Ultimate, Business, or Windows Vista Enterprise edition.
Features available in editions of the specific premium Windows Vista, such as the ability to watch and record live TV, may require additional hardware.
    -Processor 1 GHz 32-bit (x 86) or 64-bit (x 64)
    -1 GB of system memory

As mentioned that the Vista is not official on the market and if you need no driver for Vista, you must wait until the Vista will be official released

  • Satellite U400 - How can I install Windows Vista in German?

    Hello

I bought the Satellite U400-108 in Switzerland, but the language of Windows Vista is in English.

    How can I change German?

When I start the recovery, I can choose only vista in English. But it says on the package Windows Vista EN/DE/FR/IT

    Could someone help me?
Thank you very much and sorry for my bad English.

    jax3131

    Hello

you had the S4 of the VISTA operating system variant but! After you have decided for a language... like you, English, the other 3 languages will be deletet on the HARD drive. When you burn your own recovery media, there will be only the language on it. There is no way to go back.

but you have a chance. You can order a new media recovery with 4 languages at this link.

    Hi Thomas93Jensen,

    a. click on start

    b. type appwiz.cpl in the start search

    c. find the display driver package, right click and uninstall the package

    Step 2:

Then, uninstall the drivers from Device Manager.

    a. click on start

    b. type devmgmt.msc in search

NOTE: Click on view the hidden devices on the view menu in device managers before you can see devices that are not connected to the computer.

    c. then go to graphics cards and right-click on it and click on uninstall.

Before reinstarting the system tries to doanload and install the Nvidia graphic card from the link below:

  • Reinstalled Windows Vista, and now the graphics are distorted.

After installing windows Vista, I noticed that the graphics are not good. Looks like it's tense from left to right. Round circles are shaped eggs. I tried all the different settings and the same results. I get this message and I wonder if it is related. It is said CCA proxy.exe totle bar and then says unable to connect or locate ConnAPI.DLL.says to try to reinstall. I did saw that I don't know what it takes to reinstall or where?

Go to the website of the manufacturer of your computer/laptop > drivers and downloads Section > key in your model number > look for the latest Vista drivers > download/install them.

If the above does not solve it:

It comes with Vista, upgrade install and activate Forum.
