  Then I stumbled on Ulead DVD movie factory software that is packaged with my Vista Home Basic when I bought my laptop.

  I looked at the advanced video capture option, but there is no audio input source. It makes me wonder, if the supplied software, given my toshiba itself cannot solve this problem, it is must be something wrong here.
