Error 0X0000007E Stop after installing the new card mother and CPU.

Original title: Stop error after installing the new card mother and CPU.

After I installed a new motherboard and CPU I got a stop error 0X0000007E (0XC0000005, 0XB77EA756, 0XB84C742C, 0xB84C7128) and it restarted immediately. It always starts in safe mode, but I can't understand what is wrong. The old processor is a pentium 4 3 ghz, not sure what the motherboard was, new processor is AMD Athlon 64 X 2 Dual core 4200 + and I only know that the motherboard is an ASUS socket AM2. Device Manager does not recognize the CPU correctly, it shows just two entries called processor. As far as I can tell, it's almost certainly a driver issue, but I don't know how to diagnose or fix this. I am running windows XP home, I removed my video card, running 2 hard drives at 120 g (M) and 200 g (S), a DVD drive (M) and a reader of CD (S), and a stick of RAM to 1 GB.

If you have made the change without having to reinstall XP, you will be taking and Pray H@ll. the best thing to do would be to reinstall XP and make sure you have the drivers available for your motherboard available so that you can update the installed chipset. In addition, be aware that if you have an OEM of Windows version, the license is dead when you changed the mother/CPU card.

I hope this helps.

    Hey icuhavoc

are recovery disks to reinstall vista with the original hardware installed if I understand you correctly know what records you need to know a set of manufacturer's recovery disks

If it is pre-installed this is an oem license and does not change unless you did it in consultation with the manufacturer of models of motherboards and processors

  • HP EliteBook 8440p: Best boot option after installing the new hard drive and put to memory.

I just installed the new hard drive for my laptop and will get the cards of two memory installed tomorrow. I would like advice on what would be the best option to start when the laptop for the first time I'm on fire.

I have the original Windows HP recovery disk came with the computer.

I also have a recovery disc and a system image on disks created with Macrium Reflect two days ago.

I also have a recovery disc and a system image is created on an external hard drive Seagate two days ago. (I've read mixed reviews on these is currently working as a media of rescue with Win7 Pro).

I guess if I use the HP recovery disc I would be then just use any system image I prefer, without the recovery disk. Anyone know if it makes a difference at all which method to use?

    bozzle73

My recommendation would be to restore using the image of MR (Macrium Reflect) you did.

But then, I used Mr. on all my PCs for years and am a big fan - having had it Miss ever in the years and years of use.

You will need boot from the boot of MR media (you did that right) and, if you photographed all the required partitions for the operating system, restore it on the new drive should take a few minutes, and when this is done, you reboot and everything should be OK.

    Good luck

  • upggrading a windows xp pro service pack 3 with the new card mother and pure install using the original disk of xp with service pack 2

I have an auto build Windows XP pro with service pack 3 that is upwards and I feel the need to upgrade to a new motherboard and processor causes memory and I know that when I do a clean install with my original disk, I lose service pack 3 that will then lose me the Microsoft support is anyway that I can backup service pack 3 for use with what will be considered a brand new computer

    See you soon

The site is authentic.  You have two options when you do your relocation:

    Method 1

    1. Download SP3 form the Microsoft site and burn it to a cd or copy it to a flash drive.
    2. Reinstall Windows with your original Windows XP CD.
    3. Use the copy of SP3 that you burned on the CD or copied to the flash drive and update the machine to SP3.  Note that if you have an original CD of 'gold' of Windows XP without service pack that you install SP1a or SP2 before you install SP3, SP2 is available here , download and save it with SP3 before making your relocation.

    Method 2

    1. Download SP3 from the Microsoft site and it wake to your Windows XP CD.
    2. Install Windows XP with your slipstreamed CD and your installation will be in SP3, when installation is complete you will not need to install service packs, you'll just have to do some other updates that have been released after SP3.

The http://lifehacker.com/386526/slipstream-service-pack-3-into-your-windows-xp-installation-cd is legitimate, it only gives you instructions on how to create and burn a CD of SP3 slipstreamed Windows XP.  If this seems too daunting then use method 1 to install Windows.

Both methods are very good but method 2 allows a nicer cleaner installation, everything is installed to SP3 level and there are no remnants of previous service packs.  While creating the slipstreamed CD may appear to be a time consuming task, in the end, it will be a time saver and afterwards if you ever have problems with the installation of Windows you may need this cd SP3 slipstreamed to all repairs on the installation.  You can create the SP3 cd now and do it ready and at hand for future needs.

  • After installing the new hard drive and using recovery discs, I get this message could not start because the following file is m issing or damaged system32\drivers\pci.sys

I just replaced my hard drive with a new because the other HD said imminent failure or something like that! Basically the hard drive was about to fail and I so now the new one installed and I used my recovery disks and all seemed well until the recovery disks have been completed and the computer says to get out them. Then the computer restarted several times and then I get this message:
Windows cannot start because missing or corrupt the system 32\drivers\pci.sys
Then he said: "you can try to repair this file by starting windows setup using the original configuration of the CD-ROM.
Select 'R' in the first screen to start repair.
one of the many questions I have is that CD-ROMs are talking? It is the recovery disk, they want me to or what? also if you know a CV or another page which includes help on this specific topic would also help! Thank you

    Hello panjok2,

Sometimes recovery CD are dependent on the architecture of a hard drive.  If it is different from the original disc, then we have problems.

In this case, the best thing you could do is contact HP and see if this is the case.  If it is not why this happens, they should be able to help you as well because they are the ultimate authority on their recovery process.

Let us know if you have any questions.

  • The program monitor is black, no video after installing the new card chart

I bought a graphics card PNY Nvidia Quadro 2000 a few days ago, and since that it is been installed, I was unable to watch videos in my program, the source or the same reference monitor.

Similarly, if I designate one of my monitors soley for video playback, the screen is all black, and as the timecode to advance my calendar I only hear.

My project is using "The Mercury Playback Engine GPU acceleration" for first Pro CS6.0.1

I went to use a graphics card with two graphics cards and installed a third-party monitor. I spent these days around trying everything I could think of, I even uninstalled and reinstalled the first.

    Hardware specifications:

    Windows 7 ultimate (64 bit)

    HP Pavilion h8-1230z

    AMD-FX8150 Ghz 8 core processesor 3.59

    16 GB OF RAM

    PS 600W

    EVGA Nvidia GeForce GTX 550Ti

    PNY Nvidia Quadro 2000

    I use a PCI x 16 for the Quadro 2000

    I use a PCI x 1 adapter w / x 1 - x 16 slot for the 550Ti

    Could be the problem?

    More information

Vectorscope, all scopes, YC - waveform Display modes all work.

I downloaded the latest Nvidia drivers for both of my cards.

I did not receive messages error or had problems in After Effects CS6, as video playback works fine in my other adobe applications.

Since you have very recently purchased the Quadro, try to return it and replace it with a nVidia GTX 670. Approximately equal to the price, but the GTX 670 is much faster and it supports up to 4 monitors, so you can remove the Ti 550 and sell.

I guess your problem is configuring dual video card that use different drivers. Double video cards is possible, even if PR can use the main map, but drivers must be the same for both cards and this is not the case.

  • Drawing objects in Firefox and Thunderbird after installing the graphics card MSI R6850 of AMD

After installing the new graphics card (MSI R6850 CYCLONE 1GD5 PE/OC), pilots the latest on Windows XP 32-bit, I frequently meet with Mozilla Firefox 8.0 and Mozilla Thunderbird 8.0 drawing artifacts. The problem presents itself as a horizontal black bands or model checker color scattered. It occurs especially when the child (like the Download Manager) passage of another application for Firefox or Thunderbird or when to switch to a window for Firefox. It affects the entire application or only some rectangular (region clearly who was redesigned due to change of application). Then repaint (such as switch between Firefox tabs) usually solves the problem. This is just visual, the behavior is not affected. The problem never happened to any other application so far. Any ideas? Any who have experienced the same problem? Thanks in advance.

    Try turning off hardware acceleration.

    • Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.

If disable hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver that corrects these problems.

The original hard drive on my old book of 8 Windows Pavillion G6-2320 3 months crashed and I sent to HP and got the replacement of the hard drive (laptop still under warranty). They gave me support online printing that I just need to install it in the laptop and would not need the disc to install the operating system. • PC Pavilion laptop: no sound on Pavilion g6 after installing the new battery CMOS

I have a Pavilion g6z - 1 d 00 CTO Notebook PC, model A2F43AV number.  It came with Windows 7 Home Premium, and I upgraded the operating system to Windows 7 Pro (64 bit).

The problem is that I did not sound, either through headphones or the speakers even if the Volume is set at 55. I first noticed the audio problem after replacing the CMOS battery, as the laptop is 4 years old and he gave me intermittent wireless connectivity problems.  After installing the new battery CMOS, I noticed the wireless driver was missing and downloaded/installed.  Everything was fine except the audio.  Then I reset the BIOS but nothing there as the BIOS version is v.49, and it is the most recent.

I have also downloaded/installed the driver audio and rebooted the PC.  Still, there is no noise.

Finally, I have checked the audio drivers and the reporting system they work without any problem.

    What should I do next?

    Thanks, Terry

    Thanks for the reply,

I was under the impression that these links would take you to guide step by step, however, it seems that they do not work,

However, I have provided details below:

To perform a hard reset on a computer equipped with a removable battery, follow these steps:

    1. Turn off the computer.

    2. Remove the computer from the docking station or port replicator.

    3. Disconnect all external devices from devices such as USB, external displays storage devices and printers.

    4. Disconnect the power adapter from the computer.

    5. Remove the battery from the compartment to batteries.

    6. Press and hold button power for about 15 seconds, remove any residual electric charge capacitors that protect memory.

    7. Insert the battery and plug the power adapter into the laptop, but do not connect peripheral devices.

    8. Press the power button to turn on the computer.

    9. If a boot menu appears, use the arrow keys to select start Windows normally and then press the Enter key.

    10. After you have reconnected each peripheral device, run Windows Update and HP Support Assistant to update all device drivers.

To perform a hard reset on a computer equipped with a sealed or non-removable battery, follow these steps:

    1. Turn off the computer.

    2. Remove the computer from the docking station or port replicator.

    3. Disconnect all external devices from devices such as USB, external displays storage devices and printers.

    4. Disconnect the power adapter from the computer.

I can't create an installer on LabView, after install the Vision Builder demo and then uninstall it. I can't create a Labview Installer more, he asks me an installer of generator of Vision, even if Labview my program does not have nothing to do with it...

Hi, Shada, this can happen if you include additional installers to your installer for example DAQmx. When you do this the installation program must include other files like MAX (Measuremente and Automation Explorer). Probably when you installed Vision Builder he updated MAX, so when your Installer try to understand MAX, his request the source where it was installed in your computer in this case Vision Builder.

Here you can cache information so it is not asked once again, or you can download a version more recent fo DAQmx, then it will update MAX and change the dependecy.

You can find more details about it in this KB:

installed the new windows Friday and since my computer is very slow and not connecting to the internet correctly... anyone else having these issues?

System Restore to go back before the show.

I suggest you to install the updates one by one and reboot the computer after installing each update to verify that update is causing the problem.

Also note the updates that you install on the computer.

Once you come to know what update is causing the problem, let us know.

Do not install any driver updates offered by Windows Update. Find them in the manufacturer's website instead.

  • I want to improve my card mother and CPU on my PC. Can I use transfer windows settings for it?

I want to improve my card mother and CPU on my PC. I like to keep all my settings from my games, etc, so I don't have to buy/purchase new and purchase/buy a new OS Win. I am running Win 7 Pro. What is the best way to address the issue? I keep my OS on a SSD and all the other stuff is on a separate HARD disk. Basically, I need to install the new chipset and other pilots MB.

You can save files and settings and restore to the new installation of Windows, but the games cannot be guaranteed. Just give a try. If it works, it's fine. If this isn't the case, you must reinstall the games.

  • After installing the new version of flash player firefox only charge for most of the sites basic html

After you install the new version of Adobe Flash Player yesterday, Firefox would not charge most of the sites except in basic html, as I understand is the right term for all the lists in the text, especially on the left side of the screen. They open in Google Chrome and IE. I tried to restore to two days ago, today I uninstalled Firefox and re-installed, I have tried several possible solutions in the support forums, but nothing has worked. I prefer Firefox but it will fall if I can't get this resolved quickly. Note: I only start from the principle that the new flash player was to blame as it happened immediately after. I don't really know yet what he does, it's just one of those things that appears and says he has to be upgraded to the latest version from time to time.

The Flash player plugin allows certain types of media to be displayed in the web pages. Otherwise, you get an empty rectangle. Usually Flash would not hinder Firefox to load style sheets, images and other elements that add to the raw text of the page.

You can try the reset function. It duplicates some data key of your active settings in a new file, bypassing some add-ons and custom settings. Your plugins (including Flash) will still be active, but may be disabled manually if you wish.

More information in this article: Firefox Refresh - reset the settings and Add-ons. Please note that an old parameter file appears on your desktop. You might want to keep this around for awhile in case you need to save something from him
