Error 0x800CCC0b

I use Windows 7 with Windows Live Mail 2011. I get the error unknown 0x800CCC0b when I try to send an email.
I took action.

1. I added an exception for WLM in my wall of fire.
2. I have triple checked the setup of my account

3. I called my host email support to ensure that email is properly configured.

4. I scanned the virus using 2 different anti virus from the system.
I think that covers everything all the patches I've seen posted here. So now, is this someone
not really know the cause of this error, or everyone is just guessing?

I was able to fix the problem.
Step 1. I made an exception in my firewall for Windows Live Mail
Step 2 Ran system restore. In my case, I went 6 weeks.
Step 3. I've recreated the mail profile.

  • New problems with error 0x800CCC0B

I just tried to send an email to my 600 contacts using Outlook Express 6 to inform them of my new gmail address.  I got the following error message:

An unknown error has occurred. 'New email', account: 'pop.gmail.com', server: 'smtp.gmail.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 465, secure (SSL): Yes, error number: 0x800CCC0B.  Server requires authentication is checked.
However I can send emails to individual addresses.
    Any suggestions?

Gmail or OE itself may have limits the number of recipients to prevent abuses.  Try to send to 50 and see if it works and you can gradually increase until you exceed the limit.  I think that OE has a limit, but I don't remember what it is.

  • Why I can't email, but can't send?

I can get emails throughout the day. Sending Emails is another story. I get an error 0x800CCC0B code. What does that mean?

I've never heard of ashevillebit.com, and there is no literature on this subject.

    @Bruce

This is an area justhost.com . The server (alias just93.justhost.com when I tried) responds on port 25, 26 and 587. 587 with sounds of authentication as a good choice to avoid any port 25 block.

Error 0x800CCC0B means maildrop busy. Not easy to solve, but timeout increased and an increase of mark are two measures may be worth a try. It is the same server for POP3 and SMTP, as well as the port makes the distinction between different types of traffic.

  • I can't send email using Windows Mail - error message: an unknown error occurred, error no 0x800CCC0B

I'm unable to send some mail using windows mail.  I tried to send test e-mails to my own hotmail address that works very well, but for some reason, that cannot send e-mail messages to other addresses. I tried to send them with or without attachments, and they are not always sent. I get the message:

An unknown error has occurred. Topic ' Nota de Prensa: services in French are available in para help a las empresas Españolas a survive y crecer in times of crisis, account: 'Helen Hartstein', server: ' smtp.123 - reg.co.uk', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, secure (SSL): No, error number: 0x800CCC0B

    Please can someone help?

    Hi Kiss

Thanks for your reply.  I've isolated the problem.  It seems that a particular email could not be sent and has been 'blocking' of the Outbox.  It's very strange that the content in the email was the same as any other email I sent without problems this morning - I guess it could be something to do with the e-mail address? The address is for a Spanish newspaper online: * e-mail address is removed from the privacy *.

In any case, at least I can send other emails now and I guess I'll just have to send it by mail!  If you could shed some light on the mystery of why that particular address is a problem, I would be very grateful :-)

    Thank you

    Helen

  • Windows Live Mail error ID: 0x800CCC0B

I am only able to receive emails but not send emails.

    An unknown error has occurred.

    Subject 'Test '.
    Server: 'mail.tto.com.sg '.
Windows Live Mail error ID: 0x800CCC0B
    Protocol: SMTP
    Port: 26
    Secure (SSL): No.

It's an identical error message. You must use a unique object for each test, so you can distinguish between them, for example Test 2

The error code is supposed to indicate busy mailbox, but often simply, this means that the connection cannot be made. Right-click on the account name in the folders pane, and then select Properties.

    • Under the servers tab, make sure that my server requires authentication is selected.
    • On the Advanced tab, change the port of 587outbound e-mail.

Delete all messages pending from the Outbox, then dial a new test message and send it to yourself. Post a new message in your response.
