This error occurs if the license validity interval has expired, or if the license is not signed correctly.

See the Microsoft article and try the steps mentioned below.

He arrived with the installation of Windows 8 CD.
Now, it has been pre-installed Windows 7 Pro x 64 SP1 (this laptop has the right of use of Windows 8 and Windows 7)
Of course, the preinstalled operating system has been slow and gave errors (pre-installed McAfee antivirus, a bunch of small apps, a.s.o.)

I appreciate any response you can give me. Thank you!

    > It has a sticker on the back w / Windows 8 Pro (small sticker without product key).
    > Happened with Windows 8 installation CD.
    > Now it was preinstalled Windows 7 Pro x 64 SP1 (this laptop has the right of use of Windows 8 and Windows 7)

Laptop Toshiba computers are preinstalled with Windows systems that are already activated.
The stickers that you will find at the bottom of the units are the serial OEM key and these keys don't work in relation to other different systems. The OEM key belongs to the preinstalled image.

So in case you would use the Toshiba Recovery disk and install Windows system using this disk, the serial key is not necessary.

According to the technical specifications of Toshiba:
http://www.Toshiba.co.il/en/laptops/Portege/r930/Portege-r930-17L/ the laptop has been pre-installed with Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.

This means that Win 7 Recovery DVD was not part of the package. Why?
because the Toshiba Recovery Media Creator software has been pre-installed on this laptop. The software allows you to create the recovery DVDs containing Pro Win 7 64-bit system and the image that is activated.

    Hello Santosh,

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft community.

I would like to know some information about the problem so that we can help you better.

You made any hardware or software changes on your computer before the show?

Thank you for details on the issue.

This problem may occur if the Windows activation files are corrupt or if the anti-virus software installed

on your computer, blocks the activation process.

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:
Activate Windows using the activation of the phone and check.
    Refer to this article:
Get help from Microsoft Windows activation
    http://Support2.Microsoft.com/kb/950929

If this does not help, use method 2.

    Method 2:
Disable the anti-virus software, and then try to activate Windows.

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    I hope this information helps.

Please let us know if you need more help.

    Thank you

When activating my windows vista ultimate product, I get the response that the license key is already in use, let me know how to solve this problem?

    KiranS Hello,

Judging by your post, it seems that Microsoft had technical problems when you tried to activate your copy of Vista by phone. Have you tried phoning the line Activation again?

The normal procedure is that if the activation fails through the automated system, the call is transferred to a real person. It is the only available option if you get the error 'use existing product key'.

I can only suggest that you try again the activation by phone and see what happens.

  • MacBook: An error occurred during activation. Try again

HI, I use MBP and this problem has been persistent for more than 5 months now.

I'm on El Capitan version 10.11.6. I get the message "an error occurred during activation, try again" when I try to Sign In.

My Internet speed is ok, ok account password. Already connected to iCloud and App Store with the same password. IMessage + Facetime, I am not able to connect.

    Help, please. Thank you

Using two-step verification or two-factor authentication?  If so, you need passwords for specific app for FaceTime and Messages.

Passwords using specific app - Apple Support

If this is not the case, see this article.  It is written for iOS, but if you translate the suggestions in other similar to OS X, it should solve your problem.

  • Unable to sign in imessage: an error occurred during activation. Try again.

    Greetings,

I just got my board battery and logic changed on the apple store, and since I can not sign in imessage. I get the following error: an error occurred during activation. Try again. I tried to reset the NVRAM, but I still get the error. My internet connection is fine, my e-mail works.

    Thank you for your help.

    Hello

Open the purpose of this Mac from the Menu of the Apple icon top left point.

Tab preview is to display the serial number.

If this is not iMessages will not work (resetting the app just does not this account)

Return to the repairer and put back it on the logic board (this is supposed to be part of the process)

If you check it matches what is on your Mac (back, down, or battery compartment)

If it is 'false' then get his change.

There is a chance that this has also blocked using Apple ID for iMessages by this computer on the iMessages servers.

The serial number is used to provide a specific connection of the device.

IF this does not work after correction or get the serial number to the logic board, you will need to contact the Apple Support (same as Apple Care).

Once you have explained that it is a matter of Apple ID, he should be free to Fix.  This does not mean that the person of level 1, you talk to knows what to do (they lead script for Apple care issues)

Ask politely to speak to someone more important.

Even in this case they may insist on collecting data and hoop jump.

Based on others who responded that it now gets the engineers involved (the question happens separately the question of the logic board)

Insist that the server is given regarding the use of your Apple Mac.

Update or upgrade does not work and neither did a reinstall.

Even in this case, they can tell you that it could take days for a resetting to filter through.

Need help please, I got a computer game built for my son a couple of years and it came with windows 7. It has updated earlier this year to 10 windows, don't want and reset on windows 7. Since then we still get a message saying that it is not a genuine copy of windows 7, but when I go to activate using the product key (also tried to change the product key), I get an error 0xC004E003. I haveread some of the son but I don't know if mine is the same problem. I copied information on diagnosis and hope that there is someone out there who can help me. My son plays on Roblox games and it has stopped working, it may have nothing to do with it, but it has only stopped working since the debacle of windows 10 and now he drives me crazy.

    Thank you

    Debra

You use a Windows 7 Ultimate OEM SLP license only for computers as a DELL, HP, Lenovo or Acer on a generic motherboard. You must purchase a real full version of Windows 7 license:

    Windows product key: *-* - Q6MMK - KYK6X-VKM6G
Windows Product Key hash: 289NoAWl2ZoVfuieux/315WkDIc =
    Windows product ID: 00426-OEM-8992662-00173
    Windows product ID type: 2
    Windows license Type: OEM SLP

Because Windows 7 is in limited stock because Microsoft ended sales in October 2013, this created demand due to its rarity. This means the retail boxed copies request a bonus, while the OEM System Builder copies remain affordable.

You can find software OEM System Builder of dozens of online merchants. The current price for OEM Windows 7 Professional Newegg, for example, is $ 140. When I checked a few minutes ago, Amazon offered packages OEM Windows 7 Professional from several vendors at prices ranging from $ 101 to $ 150. When I checked earlier, a package specifically designed for reconditioned PCs cost only $ 50 for a 64-bit copy.

There is no technical limitation to prevent you from using OEM software on your computer, although this software only works for a clean install, not an upgrade. In the past, Microsoft has been remarkably inconsistent in his advice to clients on the question of whether this practice is allowed. (See "is allowed to use Windows OEM on your own PC? Don't ask Microsoft. »)

  • Validation or Activation of Windows Vista (OEM) after the replacement of components & reinstalling

    Hi all

I just had on the phone speaking to the people of Microsoft online help. After some discussion and blaming 'SLUI 4' (according to instructions), I am still unable to validate (activate) my legal copy of Windows and the Lady on the phone told me to come on this forum to help! ~ (What joke Microsoft management!) ~ She said she was unable to help because my copy of Vista is an OEM version and she said I need to contact the manufacturer. I said, the manufacturer was no longer in business, so now what? She said to go on the forums. So here I am!

Also, I think the first why I cannot now turn on Vista it's because the PC has had a few different hard disks over the years and during the summer I had to replace the power supply that the original has stopped working. I had a similar problem with another PC a few years ago and it has been easily resolved on the phone speaking with MS online help, but now's done it a lot more difficult for me (using this forum) that I am dyslexic and find writing and reading indeed very laborious.

In any case, I have reviewed the above and tried a few things, but none have worked for me. Then, please, make my life livable explaining what can I do to activate my Vista in simple terms?

Is received the following message when you try to validate my copy of Vista after a clean re-installation:

"The product key you entered is already in use.

Reasons can be: a new power supply & different hard drives have been installed by myself.

    Please, please help!

Best regards & thanks a lot, a lot.

    November 10, 2015.

    Hi all

As indicated, I wiped the hard drive, re-partitioned and formatted just to make sure he was completely clean and there is no hidden bad guys or persistent files corrupted, etc..  I then reinstalled Windows Vista, did a few main, graphics drivers updates, etc and then tried to 'turn on' online.

The bad news is that it still not be accepted and once more displayed: "the product key you entered is already in use.  So, I was a little irritated but not totally surprised, because if there is one thing that I've noticed over the years that Windows operating system are very compatible with their annoying messages! ~ However, this is not the end, read on:

As you do on these occasions, I thought then of what could be done then that I have not already tried? ~ Well I have to say now that my reason to reinstall Vista is not because I have no desire burning back somehow, it is finally to Windows 10. But before I could do I need to install a "Windows 7 Upgrade" I bought in 2010 when my son was in college.

This got me wondering if the message could be related in some way, to upgrade?  Twenty minutes after that, my son came into the room and offers exactly the same thing!  Without hesitation, I installed Windows 7 Upgrade and tried to validate online and hey-presto it worked!

So, for anyone else having similar problems with a re-installation and who have also used a version upgrade of Windows later, is probably the answer ~ if all else fails.  Thus, 14 lb hammer remained in the garage!

I am glade to say that the problem of Vista activation/validation is now resolved, even better Windows 10 is installed.

A big thank you to all who tried to help with this annoyance.

    Best regards
