Error 1068 print spooler
I use windows xp and have tried to download a printer driver, but I get a message that says that my spooler has stopped. I tried to restart my spooler but received an error message 1068. Can someone help me with this problem?
If you no longer use the LexMark printer, you can specify the Spooler Service there only addictive and which would be the RPC Service.
When you query the spooler to print from the command prompt, have you given that the is no longer necessary dependence LexMark listed? If so, you must get rid if it if you do not need.
It is easier to say just the print spooler that it depends on (that would be the RPC Service).
To do this, from your command prompt, enter the following command:
the sc config spooler depend = rpcss
Be sure to include the space after the "equal" sign, or the command does not work.
Then, when you query the dependencies of print spooler again, you should see the only listed dependency is the rpcss Service.
Start your print spooler now and together it automatic if that is your desire, then reboot your system and check the spooler Service again to make sure the changes "stick" a reboot.

Often, but not always, the symptoms you describe are caused by a corrupt print job stuck in the queue or a damaged printer driver. However before you clean things up, on general principles, that you can download, install, update and run full scans with each of these two free programs:
AntiMailware MalwareBytes
SUPERAntiSpywareDo not operate the two scans simultaneously. Each will take a long time, so start it and then go do something else for a while.
Cleaning of printers

I can't add a printer (USB or Bluetooth), because it always returns a printer spooler error. I tried to restart the print spooler and by ensuring that this "local system account" and "allow service to interact with desktop" is selected. I also deleted all the old printer drivers, rebooted, checked the RPC Locator is active and tried everything I can think of. It worked well in Vista x 64 on the same machine later than yesterday, but the upgrade to Windows 7 x 64 seems to have something broken. The printer, a HP C5500 series, works very well on a virtual machine that is running the same operating system. (I rather not have to run a virtual machine just to print, of course.) Running RTM x 64 on a Dell XPS M1530, which very well printed Vista, just before upgrading, to Win7. Suggestions?
FINALLY, I SOLVED THE PROBLEM! Probably, this will not help too other people unless they too, are start several operating systems and VMware Tools running, but I figured out how to fix it on my system without having to reinstall Windows. In fact, it was caused by an instance of VMware Tools. I removed, rebooted and voila - I was able to print again. In an effort to help a few other people, here is a summary of the things I've tried while working through the countless possibilities. If you are having problems "print spooler cannot start", one of these might help.
(1) after having in vain attempted to restart the print spooler service and by checking all its dependencies, I deleted all the registry entries and drivers as detailed here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/324757.
(2) I rebooted in safe mode and check the C:\Windows\System32\spool\ folder for all the corrupted files or remnants of coil.
(3) I moved all the drivers printer in C:\Windows\System32\spool\x64 (or \w32x86 if you are using a 32-bit operating system) to a temporary folder. While examining the dll, I became suspicious of some "ThinPrint" drivers by VMware.
(4) I tried to replace with a known good copy spoolsv.exe. (To do this, you need to take ownership of the file. Search engines are your friend.)
(5) I tried to use RegEdit to reconfigure the default http RPCSS indicated in the "DependOnService" value This and all the other steps I mention in this list, are described in great detail in the links provided in my Nov 11 message.
(6) I tried system restore back as far as possible - who had the positive effect of the side to undo these unsuccessful efforts in this case. Unfortunately, the problem persisted, due to the limited number of available on my system restore points.
(7) following up on top of my suspicion earlier, I removed VMware Workstation and restarted. The problem persisted after a reboot.
(8) I then started in the other OS on my system and removed the VMware tools he had installed on my boot drive, then restarted.Bingo! Printers reappeared and everything worked properly. Then, I was able to reinstall VMware Workstation without breaking anything. Phew!

1053 error Code Print spooler could not start
My print spooler does not start and I get the error code 1053
Hi troy,
I've personally encountered this error and had to reinstall my system, but try this:
- Simultaneously press the keys Ctrl + Win and should bring up a run dialog box
- Type C:\System32\Spool\Printers in the Run dialog box and a windows Explorer should appear
- In the folder, delete all the files in the folder
This will delete the documents you have sent to the printer. Then, you start the "Print spooler" service in this way:
- Simultaneously press the keys Ctrl + Win and should bring up a run dialog box
- Type net start "print spooler".
Try this and let me know how it goes.

Error: the print spooler isn't runining.
Original title: THE print SPOOLER SERVICE is NOT RUNNING
I have trouble with my printer. my printer has disappeared from the folder and if I try to add more once the system says: THE PRINT SPOOLER SERVICE IS NOT running
If the problem is not resolved by restarting the spooler service, a common problem with the spooler to stop service is related to a faulty or incompatible driver for the printer.
I suggest to reinstall the printer driver compatible with Windows XP from the manufacturers Web site up-to-date.
If this does not resolve the question remove printer drivers and check for redundant printers by going to:
printers and faxes snapin > file > server properties > drivers
Delete selected print drivers, reboot, and reinstall the drivers compatibility
