Error 17-Windows will not load past the splash screen, and system repair has no effect...

Hi all, my problem is the following. Off my laptop the night before, an upgrade has been installed as usual. However, when I tried to start my computer the next day, I was meeting with a choice of operating systems, one was vista and one was something called "openSUSE 11.2 installer (NET).» Of course I wanted to choose vista, but when selected has been sent to a screen that read (sorry for the amount of the entry).

Start "openSUSE 11.2 installer (NET)".

(hd, 1)

Specifien type is ntfs, partition type 0 x 7

/openSUSe/ kernel linux devfs = mount, dall ramdisk_size = 65536 = ftp install: //ftp4.g wdg.de/pub/opensuse/distribution/SL-OSS-factory/inst-source/ server = ftp4.gwdg.de lang = en splash silent vga = 0x31A

Error 17: File not found

I don't know much about this sort of thing, so he thought better to include everything I could. At first, I tried to reload Vista, but it just opened the same screen, so found the vista disc that came with the laptop and it is stuck in. I ran sytem repair and system restore and both have had no effect.

I'd appreciate any help is sorting this point, but if I have to reinstall vista (what I hear the hard disk wipes), is it possible to backup all my files to be reintergrated later.

Thanks for any help!

Data recovery:

1. slave of your hard drive in another computer and read/save your data out there.

2. put your Hard drive in a USB hard drive case, plug it into another computer and read/save from there.

http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm

Download the Vista software from the link above.

After installing above ISO burning software, right click on the Knoppix ISO file > copy the Image to a CD.

Knoppix is not installed on your PC; use only the resources of your PC, RAM, graphics etc.

Change the boot order in YOUR computer/laptop to the CD/DVD Drive 1st in the boot order.

Plug a Flash Drive/Memory Stick, BOOT with the Live CD, and you should be able to read the hard drive.

When the desktop loads, you will see at least two drive hard icons on the desktop (one for your hard drive) and one for the USB key.

Click on the icons of hard drive to open and to understand which drive is which.

Click the icon for the USB drive and click on "Actions > Change the read/write mode" so you can write to disk (it is read-only by default for security reasons).

Now to find the files you want to back up, just drag and drop them on the USB. When you're done, shut down the system and remove the USB key.

See you soon.

    Hello

    Specifications of the PC:

    NVIDIA GTX 750 Ti

Processor with Six cores AMD FX-6300

    8.1 Windows Pro 64-bit

My CC Pro first used to work perfectly fine, until recently.

I use this program called nvidia Shadoplay to record my office, but on Saturday, January 16th, I noticed that it wasn't working for some strange reason. I tried to load the GeForce experience, which is a bit like a control panel for nvidia graphics cards, but I kept getting a weird error whenever I tried to open it. He said that I had no GeForce installed, so I uninstalled and reinstalled, and I had it working again.

After that I got this problem resolved, I tried to start Premiere Pro. As soon as I tried to run the program, my entire computer became unresponsive. If I tried to click on something else, it would take up to 1 minute for my computer save the click. The screen Splash Pro first jump upward, but it loads through all the dll and prm files much slower. When it happened first, I tried Ctrl Alt Del my way out of it, but my computer would take 5 minutes to sign up the Task Manager. When I try to end the task, nothing would happen. The only way out he had to manually restart my computer by pressing the power button.

I tried to look for solutions. I tried to move some files Premiere Pro took longer to load on the desktop, like the ExporterQuickTimeHost, EA SequenceRenderer and ExporterAVI files, but loading still takes a lot of time and my computer no longer met. Then I let it load completely, and it took about 30 minutes before I got and error like this:

The application failed to initialize properly (0xc000001d)

I don't remember the exact error. Then I upgraded my Premiere Pro CC 2014 to 2015 version and I had similar problems. Premiere Pro would always take forever to load, but my PC was a bit more responsive.

I tried to run Avast and MalwareBytes, but they do not have the virus collection.

I'd appreciate any help as I could about the problem, so I could get back to the Assembly as soon as possible.

    Hi Lecor,

Update first Pro CC 2015 (9.2).

  • Windows XP will not load past the Blue error screen

Hi, wondering for a while if someone can help me...

My xp system will not load past the Blue error screen that is displayed when the computer stopped suddenly or inadequate.

No matter what are the measures that you choose to take (safe mode, the most recent configurations... etc) the system will just beyond the blue screen on the windows logo download page, where the loading bar moves about 10 seconds before returning to the blue loading page.

So far I have tried to leave the computer as long as an unused months while I was abroad, remove the battery for varying amounts of time and leaving the computer as long as a day.

In the absence of a recovery disk, I have no idea how to do to return to the form and would like to receive advice or suggest, keeping in mind I'm not a computer genius (if had'nt you may have guessed). Preferably, without losing my element pictures and videos stored on the hard drive, but it's just preference.

    Thank you, Jay

    Hello

It does not seem good friend if the Windows operating system does not start even using safe mode, then I don t think you will be able to run the operating system without new OS reinstallation. :(

To back up data from the HARD drive I recommend that you connect the internal HARD drive to external USB HDD controller and a backup of the HARD drive on another computer.

Then you could try to reinstall the operating system on your laptop using the Toshiba Recovery CD

    See you soon

  • E260 will not go past the opening screen

I got my 260 E for about a year and later that yesterday I went to turn it on, but it remains on the logon screen. Enter mode 'sleep', but I can't listen to music or find out anything because it will not go beyond the opening screen. The second of 10-15 soft reset I tried a hundred times, but it does not work.

If remove/insert the battery did not work, the next step would be to format the drive.  You can also try to update the firmware.  I hope that you have a model v1.  What does say on the back of the drive?  Do you see a blue Sansa logo on the splash screen?  If so, you have a model v2 with no recovery mode.

Assuming you have a v1 with the recovery mode:

    1. Turn off the player.
    2. Slide the key lock (to headphone jack).
    3. Press and hold the RECORD when connecting to the PC.
    4. Output RECORD when the "Welcome to recovery mode" message on the LCD s drive.
    5. Open my computer/Windows explore and see if you can find a new "16 MB - FORMAT" labeled removable flash drive
    6. Right-click on 16 MB-FORMAT and select new folder.
    7. Name the new folder "sansa.fmt" (without the quotes).
    8. Use the remove safely icon in the system tray.
    9. HOLD reset in the unlocked position.
    10. Disconnect the player from the PC.

The player must, by seeing the folder sansa.fmt in the root directory of the drive, proceed to format itself.  Pay attention to any error/success message see you.  If all goes well, it will tell the full format and then to restart.

DO NOT TRY TO FORMAT THE VOLUME 16 MB-FORMAT!

If the format does not work, the next step is to try to update the firmware.  Go to the correct sticky message and download the firmware for your region .24A (assuming that he is a player of v1).  Drag and drop the embedded .mi4 and ROM files of archive of the firmware in the root directory of the 16 MB-FORMAT drive.  Make sure that the files end up in the root directory and not in a subdirectory.  Unplug and restart the player as before.

  • My hp will not go past the blue screen

I tried everything I can think of.

    Safe mode

    Restore and system recovery

    Cleaning system

nothing will make me past the blue screen

    Model number G62-244

    Please help me!

    Hello cannary77:

Sorry your computer broke down. Thanks to updates from Microsoft. Well I see you tried safe mode and couldn't open. I hope you have your recovery disk. It's the time to use them. Just insert the disk and turn on coomputer. If your memory or your hard drive was not damaged it must start the process of full recovery. Follow on screen commands. If you do not have your recovery disk, then you can order them through section of HP computer parts. I hope that this step is all you need. Because if this last resort fails then your computer should be taken for repairs. Maybe just replacing memory chips or the hard drive maybe both.

Once you fall upwards and re-run. Modify the updater settings to automatically update, but let me pick witch to install. Now manually check you for updater and see if the updates are downloaded. Check only one couple at a time. For some reason when a buch of them settle in once, what is happening. I got lucky when it happpened to me. I could get my computer in safe mode and do a restore from the back. Since I changed my settings it didn't happen.

Oh if you need send repairs request an estimate may be cheeper to buy new, then tries to fix it. Also check your warranty may still be covered. All HP computers come with one year warranty. Good luck

  • T43 will not move past the first screen

My mother gave me this thinkpad because he had a virus (Windows shield Center) and he locked her out of her computer. She could always use Safe Mode, however. When I initially got tried to start, but he walls me an error message "missing hal.dll" and told me to reinstall windows, which I did not.

I thought that this could be a fluke, but now the ThinkPad won't even go past the first screen that says "To interrupt normal startup, press the blue Access IBM button" without worrying if I press that key, or, the function keys.

This is as far as I came. What are my next steps?

This looks like a start of a failure of SouthBridge chips which is very common on these machines.

Remove the keyboard (but keep that he attached), the palmrest and the wireless card.

Turn on the machine, then * gently * press the big square under the slot wireless chip.

If the machine starts normally whenever the square is pressed, a SouthBridge chip failure.

    Good luck.

  • Vista will not go past the login screen.

Recently, I added 2 user accounts for my children.  When I restarted windows would load the login screen, it would go no further.  I click on any of the newspaper in the icons or the icon close / restart and they apear highlighted, but nothing happens.  CTRl ALT DEL does not work either.  I've tired of loading in safe mode and may still not exceed this screen.  I tried restoring the sytem using F11 and select System Restore, and once again, I get to the login screen and will not move any further.

If the system restore does not work, do a startup repair, boot from the disk Installation of Windows Vista genuine (or one that you can borrow from someone) or a recovery disc.  Here is the procedure: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html.  You may need to change the BIOS to do first the CD drive in the boot sequence to boot from the CD.  To do this, hold the screen that tells you the key F to push to enter the menu start or start of installation.  Push it quickly. Make the changes, save your work and exit.  Put the CD in the drive and reboot.  When you are prompted, press any key to boot from the CD.

If you do not have a disc, you can make a bootable recovery disk by using http://neosmart.net/blog/2008/windows-vista-recovery-disc-download/ with burning software like: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html and, of course, a blank CD.

    I hope this helps.

  • PC will not boot past the home screen with USB HDD connected?

Please read the entire post before suggesting a solution.

Mobo: ASUS P8Z68-V LX, on the latest version of the BIOS.  Eight USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 ports.  Intel i5 CPU. 8 GB of DDR3 RAM. Graphics card is NVIDIA GTS 8800 512, and I have a GTX 960 FTW on the way. Corsair CSX500 PSU.

    Model reader problem: WDBHML0040HAL-RK

-J' ordered this drive of Studio 4 to WD outside of eBay for $109, used. The drive has been used previously on OS X, and I had planned to use it between two Windows 7, 10 and 10 OS X via dual-boot.
-Boots PC regularly without the connected reader, but it hangs at the splash screen, if the player is connected to one of my 10 USB ports.
-I can't not to enter the BIOS with the drive connected, and if I get into the BIOS without connection, BIOS freezes as soon as I make it connect.
-I went into the BIOS, (with the device / disconnected /), and external hard drives moved to the low boot priority. This had no effect.
-The PC recognises the drive if it is connected / after start. I can copy files to and from the disk without flaw.
-When it is received, the disk has been formatted with a face-to-face 200 MB EFI system partition, (I have no background knowledge about it), with the rest ~3.5TB unscathed HFS + space.
-Immediately, I formatted the partition HFS + and it separated in exFAT and NTFS.
-Deletion of the EFI partition to command line has no effect.

Someone online says that this is due to the ASUS P8Z68 trying to boot from the drive and to disable "Legacy USB Support" from the BIOS, but my knowledge of the ways all USB devices are disabled, including keyboards. I am doing a FULL disk formatting and will update the post I have try these solutions.

I'm really in a bind here, guys. In all, any help is appreciated.

Solved myself. I went back to the basics:

The drive is 4 TB and I'm trying to use it as exFAT, for compatibility purposes. exFAT supports up to 2 TB per partition. The solutions are either break the 4 TB drive halfway, or to use the NTFS system.

For the record, I chose exFAT.

    thanx

    Hello

    > 1. How can I get the data, the document from the desktop files?
Usually from the backup that you created.
If you don t have a backup, try Ubuntu Live CD as the previous user has written or remove the HARD disk to put it in a box external HARD disk. You can also access the data.

    > 2. How to solve this problem?
If safe mode also shows a blue screen, it seems that it s something wrong with installing Windows, then try a Toshiba Recovery disk recovery facility.

  • HP Pavilion Elite HPE-555sc desktop PC - will not get past the first screen of the BIOS

    Hello

Since yesterday my PC, a HP Pavilion Elite HPE-555sc desktop computer, does not start. It freezes at the start screen "HP".

It only allows me to enter the BIOS and it meets no other entry.

I thought it might be the motherboard.

Is anyone know about this problem? Is it already happened?

    It comes to my PC

My PC was already supposed to be an upgrade, but I would like to know if this can be corrected before I create a new.

I knew no more probably is not on warranty.

    Thank you.

    Hello

Which is usually caused by a corrupt BIOS. You can clear the CMOS. Sometimes, but not always, which solves the problem.

It is of the card mother reference web page.

Look for the clear instructions of the CMOS. The instructions do not specify this, but it is best to remove the RTC battery before performing the clear procedure of CMOS.

While the RTC battery is out and the PC unplugged, press and hold the power switch of the PC for about 15 seconds. When you replace the RTC dough the + must be facing upwards.

    Best regards

  • My iMac will not start past the gray screen

At startup, the iMac rings and goes to the grey screen where he hangs up and does not progress.

I tried with the command/R button from Mac, but the utility never appears.

I tried to start with the SHIFT key down... same thing.

Is there something I can do?

    Thank you very much!

    Paul,

My iMac (early 2010) has just started doing the same thing.  Initially, I could start in recovery mode, but download time was 18 hours and time increased.  I stopped the download and downloaded the installation on a USB disk on my MacBookPro in the hopes that I could start the iMac to the USB instead soon and not tomorrow. Now, I can't get the computer to boot on the USB stick or the recovery partition.

So he can start on the USB key you must hold down the option key when you hear the chimes boot.  Then maybe you can try and have some success.

If you find something that works to post here, if you think about it!

    Good luck!

  • trial version will not run before the splash screen

I hope someone can help please!
I downloaded the demo of dreamweaver 8 yesterday and I installed and ran fine. Today, that he will not run in front of the start screen. He stands up and asks if I want to buy or wear on the trial--I take trials and the dreamweaver start screen 8 arrives, and then nothing happens. The program does not start. I uninstalled and reinstalled. I rebooted etc - still no go. The other trial, I downloaded (firestarter) works very well yet.
I am running windows XP media center edition service pack 2.
    Can anyone help please?

Yes - it ran fine yesterday.
I think I found the answer. I searched through the posts here & found someone else with the same question a few months ago.
For anyone who needs to fix - check out this link - read to the bottom where he talks about problems. I ran the updater.2 and it seems to work OK now.

How did you start problem start? I mean if you have installed any driver or application or smth like that... In your place, I would like to reinstall Os than to try to fix it.

If you have important files smth on your hard drive, you can use Windows live cd to move them to a usb drive.
By the way, have you tried to enter safe mode?

To access safe mode, press F8 just after the screen logo POST or original system manufacturer and before Windows starts to load. This should give you a boot menu where you can select.
