error-18004 in 2016 TestStand

I am convert 3.1 to 2016 TestStand and LabVIEW 8.6 to 2016.  When I try to run my sequence file, I get the following error when the preload module: LabVIEW: unexpected file type.  Error code:-18004, error to the DLL of the LabVIEW Run-Time engine.  Source: "THOMAS" I can open the LabVIEW vi without any problem and have tried to re - register, which did not help.  If I delete this file in sequence step, the other loading steps and run fine.

See image attached error.

Never mind.  I found that it was pointing to code that I had compiled mass.  For some reason, the compilation of all performed mass screws unreadable.  I used a backup of the files and now they don't give me an error.

    HPatel,

    I found more information about your error code.

    When you generate a deployment, you have the option to cache information about the installation additional programs that include you in your deployment, if you do not have to insert the disc every time.  This error code means that the deployment utility is looking for cached information to add to your additional installers, but it is not.  Clear all your records of cache (C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\Shared\ProductCache or C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\National Instruments\MDF\ProductCache) and build again.  The deployment utility must ask any disk must be added to the installer, and it will create a new cache.

  • How to fix the error of Labview 2016 (32-bit) on Windows 10 database.

    Hello

    I have software to read/write of labview (32-bit) database, which works fine on windows xp 2000 / 7 (64-bit). But it is not stable 10 (64-bit) Windows at all.  It pops up an error on most of the time. Please see the attached database VI. After starting my software, usually, there is no error on the face of the database of frist. but it pops up an error when opening the database section. the East-2147418113 error code. It seems that it will be more stable if I put more than a few seconds before you open the second database.

    Could someone help me understand how to solve this problem?  Enjoy.

  • Security update 2016-002 could not be verified

    I am running Yosemite 10.10.5.  Was invited this afternoon to install updated system "Security Update 2016-002.  He made a download of 461 MB and then forced a reboot.  After reboot, the update carried out for a few seconds, and then suddenly ended with a pop up that says the downloaded update could not be verified.  Here is the line of the error: "Security Update 2016-002 could not be verified.  It may have been damaged or corrupted during the download.  "Click Update to download and check again the update.  I've done three times.  The update failed every time, the same reason in the error message.  This update is passed through QA?  Any ideas on that?

    I too have this problem. I'm running OS X 10.9.5.  Whenever I tried to install the new update, I said that "a security update 2016-002 cannot be verified," etc.  I tried to go into safe mode and I am still unable to install the update.

    All solutions?

  • Strange timing errors, python process taking CPU

    I have 5 Server freshly moved on top of Yosemite.

    I migrated Server 3 to 4 and now 5.  My sites all done.  My e-mail service is very good.

    I've never used the calendar service, and used to spam my system with Dingo errors log in Server 4.   I thought it would be fine in the Server 5 because 5 fixed issues for many in the nets here.

    Not for me.  So I tried to turn it on.   I get this error in the calendar error log:

    2016-02-14 22:45:25-0600 [---] (port UNIX ' / var/run/caldavd/caldavd.sock' closed)

    2016-02-14 22:46:23-0600 [---] (port UNIX ' / var/run/caldavd/caldavd.sock' closed)

    Is it possible that I can delete calendar and let app Server make it fresh?  I will lose no data because I've never used.

    During this time, my server otherwise happy is stuck using 9% CPU for several treatments Python and postgres continue taking up 100% CPU when I look up there.   How can I go back factory calendar?

    The caldavd_setup.log is trivial and seems that everything worked until the end.

  • I want to force a sequence to fail on an error, but also a failure

    I want to force a sequence to fail on an error, but also a failure.  It came because the only way I can find to stop the dialogues of Labview error to arise in TestStand is to use the property to ignore errors of time run on a step. I don't want these dialogues to occur because operators do not know how to deal with them. The problem with using the property to ignore Run Time Error, it now is a step that had a runtime error will not kill the sequence. I really want to interpret a mistake as a failure.

    I found a link to this same question years ago and the answer seems reasonable.  See http://forums.ni.com/t5/NI-TestStand/Force-TestStand-Step-to-Fail-When-Error-Occurs/td-p/435510.

    In this post, I found the following: "use the SequenceFilePostStepRuntimeError callback sequence. In this sequence, set Parameters.Step.Result.Status = 'Fail' and Parameters.Step.Result.PassFail = False ". But when I pull up the reminder SequenceFilePostStepRuntimeError, niether of these parameters have on the list of parameters. I have Parameters.Step and Parameters.Result, but nothing filled under these broad categories.  I don't know if I have a Setup error, or if the reminder has been changed over the years.

    Someone at - it advice?

    Thank you

    Dave

    Put a breakpoint in your sequence a little after the step and check the runstate variables to see if they match. This post was made in 2006 and there are a lot of changes since then. Adding in the breakpoint should allow you to see what variables are created at run time, as the passfail. You can then enter in the browser of the expression. When chacking the statement, you will get a warning saying that the syntax may be incorrect, but it's nice. It is also said in this post if you know what you are doing to the variable may be created when running and you will be fine.

  • Change the parameter Prototype of a Module DLL TestStand Programmaticaly

    Hi Doug.

    I'm sorry for the delay.

    Here is how I solved the problem: I changed the module of the BCI to the DLL module.

    Here is a sample of my code:

    I changed CVIModuleGetParameters() and CVIParametersGetItem() to TS_DllModuleGetParameters() and TS_DllParametersGetItem and now it works fine.
    seqContextCVI = object reference ThisContext
    __declspec(dllexport) __stdcall GetControlarParameters (CAObjHandle seqContext) Sub
    {
    error int = 0;
    ErrMsg errMsg = {'\0'};
    ERRORINFO errorInfo.
    char strItemLabel2 [1024] = "";
    Step CAObjHandle = 0;
    CAObjHandle seqFile = 0;
    Module CAObjHandle = 0;
    Parameters CAObjHandle = 0;
    Parameter CAObjHandle = 0;

    tsErrChk (TS_SeqContextGetStep (seqContext, & errorInfo, &step));))
    tsErrChk (TS_StepGetModule (stage, & errorInfo & module));
    tsErrChk (TS_DllModuleGetParameters (module, & errorInfo & settings));
    tsErrChk (TS_DllParametersGetItem (parameters, & errorInfo, CA_VariantInt (1) & parameter));
    sprintf (strItemLabel2, "\"%s\"", "TEST" ");
    tsErrChk (TS_CommonCParameterSetValueExpr (parameter, & errorInfo, strItemLabel2));

    NOTE: After make a change to a stage you must mark the file, as amended by
    increment the number of changes to the file. It is also necessary for the change to show
    upwards in the sequence editor immediately.
    tsErrChk (TS_SeqContextGetSequenceFile (seqContext, & errorInfo, seqFile));
    tsErrChk (TS_SeqFileIncChangeCount (seqFile & errorInfo));

    Error:

    CA_DiscardObjHandle (Step);
    CA_DiscardObjHandle (seqFile);
    CA_DiscardObjHandle (module);
    CA_DiscardObjHandle (Parameters);

    If an error occurs, set the error indicator causes an error of execution at TestStand.
    If (error<>

    TS_SetStepError (seqContext, error, error);

    Thanks for all the help.

    My best regards.

  • [Problem] Can't get TS_EngineCommitGlobalsToDisk to work (TestStand 3.5)...

    I CVI DLL function that displays a Panel for the operator values entered.  I then store in a StationGlobal structure.  It seems that the actual ini file is not updated unless complete you the sequence.  If end, he does she not get the latest version of the memory of the StationGlobals.  I found the function TS_EngineCommitGlobalsToDisk and added the following works for my DLL so I call after the Panel closed:

    void CommitInformation (int promptOnSaveConflicts,
    CAObjHandle seqContextCVI,
    char * reportText;
    short * errorOccurred.
    long * errorCode,.
    Char errorMsg [1024])
    {
    error int = 0;
    ERRORINFO errorInfo.
    ErrMsg errMsg = {'\0'};

    tsErrChk (TS_EngineCommitGlobalsToDisk (seqContextCVI & errorInfo, promptOnSaveConflicts (VBOOL)));

    Error:
    If an error occurs, set the error indicator causes an error of execution at TestStand.
    If (errorInfo.wCode<>
    {
    * errorOccurred = TRUE;
    * error code = errorInfo.wCode;
    sprintf (errorMsg,
    "Source: %s\n"
    "Description: %s\n"
    errorInfo.source,
    errorInfo.description);
    }
    }

    Now, when you run 'error' contains a considerable number of negative, but errorInfo does contain no errors.  Also, the StationGlobals are not saved.  What I am doing wrong?

    The fixed.  Kind of off the coast.  I removed the feature from the CVI DLL and used a step of the ActiveX/COM in TestStand and called the CommitGlobalsToDisk from there!

  • 10 improvement of the way Windows Installer error then get the updates. ' FATAL: UH: 0 x 80070490: EvaluateApplicability failed in CCbs::EvaluateApplicability

    Hello community. I get the following error for 10 Windows Installer to upgrade. It gets stuck he display of 0% to get updates. What happens whenever I ran the media creation Tool.exe file in my computer. Someone out there has experienced this problem and found a solution? Thank you in advance. Should I disable the Antivirus and Smart Firewall Norton Security? Thank you.

    FATAL: UH: 0 x 80070490: EvaluateApplicability failed in CCbs::EvaluateApplicability

    It's the whole error line:

    Try to upgrade manually:

  • Impossible to upgrade Edition Vista Home premium to Windows 7 Home premium. I get an error type of 3211266.

    Yes, I know, I'm a little late.  Vista works fine on my PC and now some third-party vendors are abandoning support of this platform, so I'll try to upgrade to Windows 7 to get a mileage more than my PC until I have to replace it.  I ran the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor and he said I could upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium.  It works fine for a few hours, then stops in a few words about the 75% mark in the part "Transfer files, settings and programs" of the upgrade and I get the message - "the installation cannot continue.  "Your computer will now reboot and that your previous version of Windows will be restored.  The good news is that the restoration has worked flawlessly.

    I saw the setupact.log file and note these messages (in bold & underlined characters):

    Hi Tom,

    Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

    According to the description, I understand that you can not upgrade to Windows 7.

    I suggest you to refer to the suggestions by Andre Da Costa MVP responded on December 12, 2009 and check if that helps.

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/Windows_7-windows_install/upgrade-from-Vista-to-Win7-wont-complete/e2b6ecf6-C980-4006-81cb-ddd1b5ec108a

    Warning: Antivirus software helps protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you have to temporarily disable it to install other software and/or any relevant issue, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks by malicious software.

  • Windows update error 8007005 DX

    Update error 8007005 DX (2016-02-21-T-01_18_40P

    How can I fix?

    Thank you.

    After you have entered here the possible solution error code is composed as follows by microsoft:

    Error code 0 x 80070005 is also described as 'ACCESS DENIED'. It happens usually when you have the permissions of file or registry that are required to install the updated (because the file or registry permissions can be changed by malware, we recommend that you are investigating anti-malware after repairing permissions).

    To resolve this problem, make sure that you are logged on as administrator and install updates again. If the problem persists, use the SubInACL tool to repair the permissions of files and registry. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Download the SubInACL tool and install it in the folder % windir%\system32. The placeholder % windir % represents the Windows system folder. For example, C:\Windows.
    2. Start Notepad, and then copy and paste the following commands:
      off @echo
      Subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Grant = administrators = f/Grant = system = f
      Subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Grant = administrators = f/Grant = system = f
      Subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/Grant = administrators = f/Grant = system = f
      Subinacl /subdirectories % windir % / Grant = administrators = f/Grant = system = f
      @Echo =========================
      Completed @Echo.
      @Echo =========================
      @pause
    3. Save the file as reset.cmd.
    4. Right-click the Reset.cmd file in file Explorer (in Windows 8.1 and Windows 8) or Windows Explorer (in Windows 7 and Windows Vista) and then click Run as administrator. In Windows XP, double-click the file in Windows Explorer.
    5. Wait for execution and then try to install the update again.

    Note refer to Possible delivers everything using the SubInAcl tool if you receive errors during execution of SubInAcl.
