  Hey guys,.

  I am writing a program to snoop on SPI communication between a microcontroller and two MAX-7221 display drivers. Essentially, I want to read the PIN Din of both fleas and convert the data stream in the numbers that are displayed on the front panel of devices (each chip controls two 3 figures, 6 total). The data is 16-bit and contains a 4-bit address and a 4-bit code representing the number b. I recognize these two values in the vi, convert code B in decimal and use the address to combine each digit in the corresponding 3-digit numbers that I can view and save to a file.

  Each chip has a Din row that contains data, a clock and a load signal (called CS). In my vi I acquire the data using the remote clock signal and use a trigger break to acquire only when CS is low. It worked perfectly to collect data of a single chip MAX-7221, but I started to run into problems when you try to acquire data of these two channels at the same time.

  Since I am on two different trigger and clock signals, I couldn't use a single data acquisition. I got a PCI-6251 card laying around and decided to use it to develop a single chip and my original USB-6361 to acquire the other. Acquisition data from as chips with the USB-6361 works perfectly, but when I try to acquire two Renault at the same time I get error 200452 associated with the trigger break PCI-6251.

  I did a ton of digging, but I can't seem to understand what the problem is. The Web site OR said that the PCI-6251 supports triggering of break, and any channel I use, I still get the same error. I even tried to use other types of triggers, but no matter what I do error 200452.

  It seems that the PCI-6251 card only supports digital break triggering on a similar task. You use it on a digital input task. 6361 USB supports triggering of break on the two types of tasks. That's why you get an error.

• X 230 error 1802 with the Correct WLAN card

  Recently, I ordered my brand new x 230 for the start of the University and selected the thought of WLAN card default option which would be sufficient for my needs. After the hand signal and dropouts, problems I decided to upgrade the WLAN card that would improve the signal strength.

  I know the existence of the 'white list' frustrating that means that some cards are allowed to use. So, I went in the store of Lenovo and looked for what was the best WLAN card that might come with a new order of a 230-System x, as surely they are on the whitelist.

  Later, I bought an Intel Centrino Ultimate - N 6300 card and installed correctly in my x 230. However, from the start I saw to my despair that the 1802 error was there, tells me my card has not been approved. Could someone explain how hell a card that can come already installed in x 230 is not did not whitelist checking?

  Needless to say I am not very satisfied with Lenovo, because I can't even find a list of what cards are accepted. What is the point in a white list anyway? I am a student trying to patch BIOS to remove it, but no one has yet done a patch.

  Doesn't have that 6300 come from the store of Lenovo, or from a vendor who said it was for a Lenovo laptop?

  The card type is not the whole story when comes to the white list.  In addition to the correct (6300) type by its PCI vendor and device ID, it must have an ID of subsystem of Lenovo.  (IIRC, it can be more precisely not the subsystem ID, but the effect is the same).  A generic 6300 will not work.

  A card must be sold by Lenovo or pass the white list.  Reputable suppliers will provide a number of Lenovo FRU (CRU) to check the FRU list for the machine.

  For example. Since the research database of Lenovo parts -> ThinkPad X 230page, the RUF for that 6300 is 60Y3233.  It was not easy to find.  The RUF are not in the hardware maintenance manual any more

  If your card has a number of Lenovo FRU, something else is in place.

  Yes. You can use a RTSI cable between them. See the examples of the expedition. If you are using LabVIEW, look at several Synch - Analog Input - Cont Acquisition devices.

  Card: PCI-6733

  I'm a 60 Hz, 2 mV peak-to-peak with a compensated 2.4mV noise when the monitor is plugged into the VGA port.

  Same card in a second computer, problem is more serious, 4mV Ridge to Ridge, 4.3mV offset. When I push on the case near the power supply the offset rises from a few millivolts.

  The two computers are running the same exact versions of software and drivers. Dell and quite similar to each other in both material and form.

  I have a third computer that noise coming out of the map is horrible no matter what.

  I exchange business cards and the problem is with the computer, does not follow the acquisition cards.

  No idea how to solve this problem and what is the cause?

  Tall_Michael,

  Looks like you may be plugging your monitor and your computer in different points of sale.  If this is the case, this is probably the cause of your noise and can be eliminated by connecting the two devices on the same socket.

  ERROR:  NO SIGNAL on monitor and can not reset the BIOS to accept the new video card in the PCI slot

  PROBLEM: The user reports the monitor suddenly became white with blue lines finally erased.   On start-up, the screen shows "No Signal" then turns off.

  Troubleshooting has included:

  Fixing monitor with its cable to another PC - monitor work

  Fixing working monitor and cable to the PC - No Signal

  There is no boot beeps, fans, lamps, not work cable defeated, no video.   I concluded the embedded video component failed.

  Installed the new video PCI - ex card and new power supply 480w and still get NO SIGNAL.   New video card specifications called for a minimum 350w power supply.  The fan on the new video card PCI - ex works.  Search on the HP Support pages indicates that the BIOS should be modified to change the type of PCI slot type in-flight video.  Makes perfect sense to me, sounds like it might work.

  How to reset the BIOS when you do not see what you are doing?

  I have moved the jumpers to reset the CMOS, but cannot tell if it worked or not.  I tried a couple blind BIOS resets, but I could do this for months.

  If I could determine the Version of the BIOS, I might be able to blindly to reset the BIOS.  The Compaq Options of Menu and "BIOS Setup Utility information" web page provides instructions for BIOS version 6 or less and version 7 and greater - menus and access steps are very different.

  QUESTIONS:   How to determine the version of the BIOS.  Which key I hit to access the BIOS (F1, F10, esc, Del)?  Which menu I followed to reset the type of video, so how can I save and exit?

  This function is part of the traditional DAQ driver obsolete. Use the DAQmx functions in your palette.

  You can use two cards of the same type on the same computer, the system should have no problem telling them apart. 232 new ports will have unique numbers like 232 ports on your first card PCI-232 and your built in COM port. For example if you have 2 devices PCI-232/4 and one built in the COM port, you should see COM 1 (built in), COM 2, 3 COM, COM 4, COM 5 (first map), COM 6, COM 7, COM 8 COM 9 (second map).

  Hi Római,

  Change the height of your image in MAX will not increase the rate of your acquisition - the camera always sends the same number of lines per image, you said just the software to stop their playing earlier.  The following image still occurs until the next edge FVAL.

  1 x at the bottom tells you view the image at 1 x magnification.  In MAX, you can zoom in and out, and this indicator lets you know your current zoom level.

  One of the nice things about CompactDAQ is that you can put multiple modules of the same time (analog, digital, etc.) in the same spot and they are automatically synchronized.  Then, to synchronize the two modules, create an analog input task and reference strings like "cDAQ1Mod1 / ai0:3, cDAQ1Mod2 / ai0:3.  It automatically synchronizes the two modules together.
