  Thanks for your reply.  After more study on Microsoft Office Online, I finally found the solution.  What I did is a quick repair on Microsoft Office to the control panel > uninstall or change a program.  I guess he had a few problems for the factory to Office Setup.

  I installed recently Fusion 5.0.3 and Windows 7 Pro on my MacBookPro 2009 so I could run Quickbooks 2013 and Excel 2013.  I knew that I was probably pushing the processor, so I always have to close all Mac applications before running VMware.  QuickBooks 2013 works beautifully, and I can see vmware-vmx in activity monitor using about 50% of the CPU.  The trouble begins when I open Excel 2013.  VMware-vmx charges to 140% of the CPU, and Excel stops responding.  I updated the VM Ram 2 GB (as recommended) and core processor 1.  Any ideas will be greatly appreciated!

  You did not mention the version of Acrobat you are using. You need at least 11.0.01. Otherwise, use the MS plugin for creating PDF files or print to the Adobe PDF printer.

  First of all, the Adobe Acrobat XI Pro is fully compatible with Office 2013?  I downloaded the trial version but it does not Excel in a supported format.  With my old version (9) I could choose a group of Excel spreadsheets and then right-click and choose "combine taken supported files in Acrobat"; the only option I get with this new version (and my new version of Excel) is "convert to Adobe PDF"; This will create a separate pdf file for each worksheet that I chose.

  A note: I have been using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro with Excel 2007.  I upgraded to Excel 2013 and tried to use Adobe Acrobat 9 with her but she was not working properly so I thought I would test AA Pro XI; I have the same problems with it.

• Cannot print in Win 8 and Excel 2013 Deskjet 3000 USB plugged - resolved

  Newly installed computer running win 8/64-bit and Office 2013.  Have Deskjet 3000 USB printers.  Last driver HP and the latest installed MSFT.

  Searched for this problem and most seem to be reoslved by changing the print quality settings, I tried all project photo and same result.

  When I print from Excel, I see my spreadsheet in the Preview Print print area is correct.  I click on print and if I quickly change the status of pinter I see document number go from zero to 1 and then back to zero what any windows spooler.  I also changed printer for any coil.

  I have no problem printing form other applications Office Word and PPT, or Adobe Reader or my browsers.  Just in Excel.

  Don't know where to go from here? I ran the HP diagnostic tools and they work very well and that you can get test pages printed on them as well as Windows itself.  No error messages at all when the problem occurs, the print file seems to disappear.  I can print in a file from Excel and then print this file if its PDF without problem.

  OK update:

  I removed the HP software and driver and simply use the native Windows 8 driver and everything is wonderful.  Seems strange that doesht mfg driver work but the Windows version only.  All that I know is just remove any HP software and the driver and just take the default of WIndows and life is perfect!

  for the error message personalized codes there are these assigned ranges:
  -8999-by-8000
  5000 to 9999
  500 000 to 599 999

  If I create an "error ring" in Labview 2013 SP1, then I am able to choose predefined error codes or I can put in some custom error codes. Curious as I was I chose 'Labview' in the menu drop down and looked up some error codes. I noticed that there are some affected error codes that are of the order of custom error codes (see attachment) of 538170 to 538193.

  Is this a bug or feature? What is the impact if I defined error codes customized with identical, already existing error codes?

  It seems you have installed ModBus library. As it is an additional package, picking "custom error codes" is not bad even if the library fits in LV...

• Excel 2013 ActiveX object not available

  I try to open an Excel ActiveX reference but can't. I'm using LabVIEW, 2012 and 2013 Excel.

  I placed an open VI of automation on the block diagram and created the refnum of entry control. When I click on select class ActiveX control (see below), the only available Excel-related option is the ExcelTDM plugin that I use to watch the TDMS files in Excel. I am relatively new to ActiveX, so I don't know what is the problem here. Is there anyone experiencing problems of compatibility with Office 2013 and LabVIEW? Or is the wrong approach?

  I try to install 2013 LV on W7 64 bit, but I have this error directly:

  and just after the change of the access authorization of parent folder, I have this message:

  and I right click on these same folder to open access permission and I have a sentence of beautiful windows:

  But how?

  Then I try to add a full band like SYSTEM with optiion name but it is still forbidden to change the key of the child as the picture shown:

  PS: I have install and uninstall the 32-bit version before on this PC. After uninstalling the version I clean the registry (CCleaner) and found no instance of National Instrument. It therefore seems to be ok, no?
