ERROR 5006:0X8000ffff on Vista 64-bit pre

I installed Comand & Conquer the first decade on my lap top, but games of multy on one disc. The first installation, but only worked some of the games I uninstalled the geme and tried to reinstall now I get error (5006:0X8000ffff), it seems to be a problim with windows vista Pre 64 bit, I have been in contact with sofar EA Games rather than the things they suggested worked again. Still waiting for response. Have all the updates, tried renameing installation file and several other things someone out there have ideas?

Hello

You can try to delete the professional folder and check if that helps. This step helped little to resolve this issue.
Professional file path: C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\InstallShield\Professional
If you are still having the same problem then, rename the InstallShield folder.
For the installShield folder path: C:/program files/common files
I hope this helps.

Thanks and greetings

  • Satellite Pro A300-1NT - need drivers Vista 64-Bit

    Hello

I bought the laptop Toshiba Satellite A300-1NT, which came with Windows Vista 32 - Bit pre installed and a XP Recovery disk.
I bought the 64 bit Vista edition, but I found all the drivers for Vista 64-bit on your website if it is 64-bit capable.

    How can I get them?

    Hello

It seems that 64-bit Vista for A300 series drivers are not available on the page of the European driver Toshiba at this time.

    That's why you have two options;
Either you will wait until these drivers will be published on the website of pilot or you try to collect these drivers to your own hand.
You can search and try for example such single drivers out for another series of notebook and could search also site of manufacturers of chips like Intel, Realtek, etc.

  • Reinstall Vista 32-bit on the partition C erase data on other partitions?

    Hello.

    I have a computer with vista 32 bit pre-installed.

I made the recovery discs and I know how to use them.
I created a partition D: on my computer myself.
Reinstall Vista 32-bit on the partition C erase data on other partitions?  Y / N
    Chris.

    Hello Chris,

Installation from recovery or a recovery partition disks ' "won't replace (wipe) the partitions that you created. The idea is to "valuing your system back to factory conditions", which means exactly that.

I suggest that you save all the information about the partitions that you created on a removable USB drive. As soon as you reinstalled windows, you can then recreate the partitions and copy the information from your removable USB hard drive hard disk internal.

  • Can I install Windows vista 64-bit for free if I have the 32-bit version preinstalled (OEM)?

I have Windows Vista 32 bit pre-installed on my computer and now I'm ready to add more memory to my machine.

I've already paid for Windows Vista, when I bought my Dell computer a few years (I "réinstallation DVD Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit").

I guess I can legally get and install the 64 bit version of the same operating system (I mean for free, of course)?   I don't want to pay for Windows 7.

Whether or not it is an option would be between you and Dell.  Copies of the retail Windows come with two discs, but OEM copies that are sold with computers come with one or the other, the one that you ordered when you ordered the computer.  If Dell doesn't want to or can't provide you with a copy, then no one else is able to.

  • HP HDX Windows Vista 64 bit laptop with error 1002 of the recovery process

    Hello

I have laptop HP HDX which had a sound problem with message of error "Could not play the test tone", tried in several ways by online suggestions and ended to reinstall the new copy with recovery disk. As part of the recovery with a reovery of HP drive, I tried to get it back and it formatted boot partiion and got this error message "error 1002 if the problem persists, please contact HP support. My laptop is out of warranty now.  I talked to HP support and they ask me to buy new drives recovery and someone in this forum mentioned that recovery disk will lift the same mistake and we would need to purchase technical support and even that has not worked for soembody after paying $ 200 to support. I am struck with recovery of the laptop now. I also tried the recovery partition revovering and gave rise to no luck.  I'm now out of warranty.

I am really fedup with bearing on my this laptop windows vista 64 bit HP HDX laptop problems. What is your best suggestion for me to recover my windows vista now?

    Thank you.

    GK

I ordered the drive to restore HP for $ 16 and I have no problem in my OS with this disk recovery. Recovery partition that came with my laptop had this error 1002 and he really tortured than me. It is recovered successfully with this new disc of recovery with on all issues.

I would have saved a lot of time, would not have had any stress and restore ($16) if HP disks price had built the free bug recovery partition.

I'll be very careful in buying HP products in the future.

    Peace out.

  • get the 0x400110020000100b error code while making the recovery of the system for windows vista 32 bit.

I tried to do a system restore on my laptop using the included recovery disks and had this error 0x400110020000100B. The drive looked pretty beaten last week so I ordered a new series. Now, when I got to put disc 2 in (to 80% full) I get the same error.  I called customer service and he took me through the process of F9, nothing works and I also tried the F11 approach that made me not the case.  I'm frustrated because I don't really have the money for a new laptop computer.

Laptop is a HP Pavilion DV6700.

Any help would appreciated more than you know.

The system is Windows Vista 32 bit

The guy on the phone said ' well, you know it's a pretty old computer... Thank you gee...

    Hello:

See if you can make your own Vista installation disc if you can read the product key 25 character on the bottom of your laptop.

    Here's how:

If you are in a fault light but rewarding you can do yourself if you can read your product key of Vista on the PC of 25 characters.

You just download the 3 files you need on the link below and read all the instructions to create a Setup bootable DVD disk using imageburn.

Do not take into account the part of the text in the first screen shot about "extract the files in the folder of Vista."

The files were extracted already in this folder when you ran the X14.exe file by reading the text on top of the first screenshot.

The other thing I noticed is on the 4th page, where it shows Developer ID Microsoft Corporation. I had to type Microsoft Corporation in me, and then other codes already filled in.

When I went to compile the ISO file, ImageBurn gave a message on a WIM file, file and ISO, and if I wanted to burn it in a different format.

I selected no, make the ISO file.

It was not so hard to do. I burned both the disk of 64-bit and 32-bit disk in case I ever need them.

I tested both of them one my hp dc7100 CMT desktop PC, worked flawlessly.

When you enter the product key, he knows which version of Vista you have.

    http://en.community.Dell.com/support-forums/software-OS/w/microsoft_os/3317.2-3-Microsoft-Windows-v...

After you install Vista successfully, you can then install the drivers for your PC and driver page support.

    Hello

Fallout 3 is not compatible with Windows 7, the same information is provided in the link given below. http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/Windows-7/en-us/search.aspx?type=software&s=fallout

To work around the problem, you can try to install the game in compatibility mode and check if that helps.

To install the game in compatibility mode follow the link below.

Make older programs in this version of Windows

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows

Before installing the game in compatibility mode I suggest to uninstall the game completely from your computer by using the Windows Installer CleanUp utility.

    1. download the utility from the link below,

    2. install and run it

    3. then select the game from the list of donated items.

My system (Vista 32-bit SP2) tried to install update KB980248 for several weeks, but I keep getting error code 80073712.  I tried to follow the directions on the site by running the system preparation tool update... did not work.  Then I tried to go back to a restore point and try the update again.  Yet once, didn't. I went back several restore points, but it has always failed.  I don't have an installation DVD, because it came with Vista preloaded.
