Error 623 - system could not find the directory entry for this connection
This error box 623 often appears when I'm online and it's boring, what the hell. It is a "network connection error", and it says "cannot load the dialogue."
I had tried a "fix" that I found on the microsoft site using microsoft, but it was not useful. He said that my computer tries to dial a number for the VPN connection. But I don't have a VPN connection and none are listed under my network connections.
Help, please!
Hi Crudblue.
There is a KB detailing this problem and the workaround. http://support.Microsoft.com/default.aspx/KB/320693
To work around this problem:
- Click Start, click Control Panel, and then click on network connections and Internet.
- Click on network connections.
- Right-click the VPN connection, and then click Properties.
- Click to select the checkbox Dial another connection first and then click on the appropriate connection. If there is no dial-up connection to select, you will need to create a dial-up connection and repeat these steps.
If your VPN connection does not require a dial-up connection, click to clear the checkbox Dial another connection first , and then click OK.
I hope this helps! If you have any questions please come back!

I have problems getting my sbRIO 9606 to deploy.
Everything's fine until during the deployment process, I get this:
Deployment of sbRIO 9606 chassis (sbRIO-9606)

Make sure that the appropriate software is installed.I tried to reinstall LV (ensuring that FPGA & RT deployment options are checked) and the 9606 software shipped, but it made no difference. I'm still waiting my next serial key by NOR, I have to wait that I recorded it before I can deploy?

Hi Tim,.
In time real 11 is installed according to the recommended software battery installation program included on the disc NEITHER RIO provided in the starter pack.
The problem is that the recommended Software NI Scan Engine 3.0 installation program.
The sbRIO 9606 does not support scanning engine.
Once the scanning engine support has been uninstalled, I could deploy on my 9606.

System could not find the environment option that was entered.
The Trend Micro Client caused a bit of stir in my computer.
He gave me the UiSeAgnt.exe error and I couldn't open any .exe files. I uninstalled Trend Micro and that pop up more rises. But the "System could not find the environment option/variable is entered" is yet to come when I try to run the .exe. This means that same cmd cannot be opened. I can not connect to the Internet independently wireless or wired. Audio system is not even the sense system speakers or external audio devices.
I tried the system restore, did not work. I tried SFC/scannow, did not work. Now my current idea is to back up my files and blow the computer on with a clean restore. What should I do? I use a Vaio E series 14 p, btw.
If it really comes down to it, how much memory should I backup everything?
Hi Vey,
Thanks for posting your query in the Microsoft community.
Your system is connected to a domain network?
This problem occurs in situations where Shutdown.exe cannot access the UserDomain environment variable. The task of the judgment which is on demand by using the at command runs under the system account. When the task is run under the System account, the UserDomain environment variable are not accessible because it does not exist. But the problem occurs mainly on the areas of server.
I would suggest trying the following steps and check if these help to resolve the issue.
1. start your system in safe mode.
2. press on the Windows key + R.
3. type sysdm.cpl , and then click OK.
4. click on the "Advanced" tab
5. in "Startup and recovery", click "Environment Variables".
6. under "System Variables", click 'new '.
7. for "Variable name", type in windir%
8. for 'Value of the Variable', type in C:\Windows
9. click OK on the all the dialog boxes that pop up.
10. restart your system in normal mode.
If, however, your system is connected to the normal mode, please see the following support article.
Hope this information is useful. Let us know if you need more help, we will be happy to help you.

The system could not find the environment option that was entered.
I have Vista Home Premium. I must have met a significant corruption or a virus. Here's what the system won't let me do.
System restore
Launch any program exe
run cmd as administrator
launch msconfig
Basically, everything I download don't throw (including several ladies virus recommended this forum and others)
If it's a virus, he got by AVG free edition
Safe mode does not enable all the options I get always "the system could not find the environment option that was entered."
It of almost as if someone really took time to reflect on how to thwart an attack and then implemented in the opposite direction. Is blowing the entire disk and back at my only option?

Zitouni,
Thanks for your reply, good point on the File Checker, I didn't know that. Unforuneatly I have not see your reply until I decided it was time to re - install the system. One thing to note, I couldn't do a 'run as administrator' anyway possible. This system was really corrupt which leads me to believe that he may have been a NTFS/Fat 32 Co-mingling question. Just a guess, but I really don't see how it could have happened otherwise.
Another thing to note, if you have a Dell Inspiron 1720 with a 250Gig HD-make sure that you format the partition, you then load the SATA drivers! Also, make sure that the restore partition does not primary. Make sure that you format (assuming that you have backed up your data before!). Otherwise, it hangs on Setup to complete the installation. Who took me ahwhile to understand.
Everything is cool now (reinstalled Vista), just thank ful there is a site like this to run things by! ;)

The system could not find the environment that has been entered - option Windows 7
I don't know what I was doing at the computer before this problem started. However, I first noticed that something was wrong when I tried to open the photo viewer and was faced with the problem of the impossibility to find the module specified for this program. In an attempt to solve this problem, I tried to download and install the Photo Gallery in Windows Live and this is when I first discovered that my system has this problem.
I went online to search for solutions to these problems, but none of the solutions worked. Here are the steps that I tried in vain that the system could not find the environment option that was entered.
I tried open CMD with administrator privileges but am unable to do so. Once more, the next step on the start-up of the Installation DVD of Win 7 to use the Startup Repair tool doesn't have that the system was unable to find the environment option that was entered. I proceeded to try to use the system restore, but is facing the same problem too.
This is the report on my existing variables according to the steps there. But unfortunately, this thread has shown no solution, that I could undertake, given that I can't open Regedit too.

Can someone help me please? I think to reformat my computer if this continues (think of how to do it now I can't run the Windows 7 Installation disc either).
Thank you very much.
Nicholas CYou can probably fix your problem by using the system restore. Here's how it works:
1. keep tapping F8 during the first phase of startup.
2. select Repair from the menu.
3. Enter the administrator password when you are prompted. It is often empty.
4. When you are prompted, select System Restore.
5. set Windows to a point before this problem occurred. -
Hi, I would be grateful for help on this, I bought a new seagate expansion external hard drive not too long ago (abt 3 months old) and tried to use the device only recently (to back up my files). Windows has detected the drive but says that it could not find the drivers. (code 28)
When I tried the drive on a 32-bit computer, it showed up working find and dandy. When it is plugged in the computer of the alien-ware, same error.Tried the uninstall from Device Manager and restart the computer, still the same error.Services.msc open and found windows install offshore. He turned on automatic, but the same error came out. Plug and play Windows was already working.Checked Windows SP1 worked, still the same error. He got me completely baffled. Before this, I had other problems with USB and disabled driver signature Verifier (I think that's what it was called) before you boot into windows. Worked very well for my flash drives each time that I did.I also had another external HARD drive which was held only 160G and it worked, so I'm not sure what the problem is with this particular external hard drive. Please help, I'm going crazy on this problem...The specifications of my devices are as follows:ComputerModel:Alienware M14xType of system:64-bit operating systemHard drive model:Portable Seagate Expansion 1 TB driveHello

"windows could not find the directory"D:\user\my documents"."
Hi all
a big problem, but explain firstly my setupI have 4 discs 1 who's never been tied and still isn't so let's leave this oneI have therefore 3 discs left2SSDs and 1 HARD drive1SSD contains my installation of windows, the other has a hackintosh installation, that will leave us out as well as it has nothing to do with it (the hackingtosh SSD)so that leaves us 1SSD with windows and 1 HARD disk for data (1 TB)During my first installation of windows, I didn't want my SSD to fill upward with the data, so for this reason that I moved the following folders on my HARD disk with letter path D:My documentsMy photosMy musicDownloadsDesktopall of them have been moved using the proper method to move a directory of windowsNow...Today, after turning off the computer, I unplugged the drive D: (HDD) and the SSD drive in order to bypass the need for a boot loaderand here's the problem, after doing what I wanted to do, I'm once again, shut down the computer properly, readers still disconnectedand then start reconnecting the SSD and HARD drive, both on the same site of the motherboard (although this should not matter)Thus, quite, I start Windows again, and he goes on to say that the folder my documents and one more records are missing, despite the drive connected. So I got start-> computer and check the drive and see if there's always my dataproblem; the Player isn't here, but IT IS mounted in some wayin disk management, I'm going to understand what is happening, and disk management says there are only 100 MB "system reserved" partition NTFSThis was not the case before, he a full 1 TB for the data partition, nothing for wall systemI tried to mount the drive and finally managed to mount the system reserved partition by assigning a drive letter, however, when it opens, it does not contain anythingIf anyone can, please help meEncryption algorithmDisk 0 is my SSD that contains the windows installation, it has only 1 partition, System reserved partition has been somehow not on the SSD, but the disk HARD 1terra rather
And since it showed my 1 terra as unallocated space, I thought that I lost all the data out there, so with that, I simply decided to reinstall windows and live with him I guess
Seems to be a nasty bug if or should - not happen during the disconnection of the disks, and then reconnecting them?
Thanks for your effort/response,

Running the latest version without any problems and then I loaded office 2013... Now, when I'm in the remote site and you try to double-click a file .cfm, I get a dialog box... Unable to find a valid editor for this file Extension...
I tried the support chat and they said that Dreamweaver support was not available, try again later?
