Error 741 VPN

When you try to connect to a PPTP VPN server machine I get an error 741, the local computer does not support the required data encryption type.  I found a solution for Vista, but it does not work for Win 7.  Is there one for Win 7.

  • Windows 7 error 809 VPN client

    Good day to all,
First off, I want to thank everyone in advance for helping me with this problem. I am usually able to read through forums and usually lucky to find solutions, but this problem has no solution I found.

Here's my situation. I have Windows Server 2008 R2. I added the role, the network policy and access to launch the VPN server. My clients windows 7 are able to connect locally to the server. I configured my router to allow the following ports: 500, 1701, and 4500. When I connect via the internet by using a client windows 7, I get error 809 (the network connection between your computer and the VPN server could not be established because the remote server is not responding).
So, I decided to try another client. I am able to connect using my android via the internet without any problem. Only when I try to connect my clients to windows 7 I get this error. It seems that it has been configured correctly, but maybe I missed something. I have disabled the firewall on my server, client and router with no luck. So I started looking on the problem and was not able to find a solution to my problem. If anyone has other thoughts or ideas I'd be greatly appreciated the help.
    Thanks again.

  • Error sending VPN tunnel

    Hello

I have a VPN with satellite office. The user reported that session drops with my server @ DC. User is able to reconnect to a session and pick up where they have left off. This is why it seems as if the server did not realize that they were not yet connected. Can anyone provide technical expertise on the enigmatic question?

This could be the cause of these errors?

  • Unable to connect to the VPN server

    Hello

I'm on Sierra, iOS macOS 10 and Mac OS Server 5.2 (on a Mac mini).  (All dated September 21, 2016)

Because PPTP is no longer supported, I am trying to create L2TP.  Unfortunately, when I try to connect to the server, I get the error "the VPN server has failed. Please check the server address and try to reconnect. »

I do not think it is a problem of networking: back to my Mac is not enabled, the appropriate ports are transmission (UDP 500, 1701, 4500) and server says that the service is accessible.

When I check the logs from the server after a connection attempt, I find:

    21/09/16 21:08:09.994 raccoon [75993]: can't find configuration.

    Any suggestions?

Does anyone know where the configuration file is supposed to be on the server, so I can look at?

    Thanks for your help!

More than likely the XP box is behind a firewall/router which does not pass traffic GRE protocol 47 . You can test the VPN PPTP link by running the test detailed in the traffic VPN PPTP Ping and secitons on this page.

    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb877965.aspx

GRAP the pptpsrv.exe and pptpclnt.exe programs on the internet or from a CD of XP SP2. If the tests fail work arounds include...

    * Update the firmware on the router to a version known to pass traffic GRE protocol 47.

    * Flashing the router, if supported, with third-party firmware like DD - WRT that supports passing traffic GRE protocol 47.

    * Buying a router known to pass the GRE protocol traffic.

    * Use an alternative such as Secure Shell [SSH] and a free SFTP client such as WinSCP or TBM for secure remote access to files and folders or Remote Desktop/access control to computers on office's LAN.

  • OSX 10.11.3 can't VPN via AnyConnect 3.1.14018 iPhone6 ASA 5550 Verizon hotspot

I did a lot of research on this, found similar questions, but not this exact one.

I have a Mac OSX 10.11.3 using Cisco AnyConnect 3.1.14018.  It can VPN to our ASA version sw 8.2 (5) 55 perfectly fine on any LAN or Wifi.  He cannot complete a VPN connection using an iPhone to Verizon 6 running the latest iOS via mobile access point.  The VPN itself requires a certificate and a name of user and password (from the AD authentication).

During the attempt, on Mac, we get the error: client VPN could not check the IP forwarding table changes. A VPN connection can be established.

The connection can be established in other hotspots, Android on Verizon, IOS on AT & T, no problem.  IOS on Verizon?  Nope.  No luck with Verizon to support.

The only thing that stands in the firewall log when the connection attempt fails: group user IP <123.45.123.234>transmitting large package 1456 (line 1399).

    Any ideas?

    Thank you!

Hi, yes a defect probably will help any. The release notes indicate the router needs to be reset on the 2.2.0.7 upgrade. If you call the support that they also will be asked to do.

    Help...

You shouldn't be messing with the security features of the operating system.

Problems may have to do with the network, or client software that you use.

I start by making sure all the software are updated and then create a new entry, vpn, double control system that everything has been entered correctly.

FWIW, I use the built-in features of VPN on El Capitan to connect to my University regularly and without problem.

I'm not familiar with "Fortinet", and I suspect that you may need to be updated, or simply use the built-in VPN.

  • Raccoon VPN error: Identity Protection mode is not acceptable

VPN seems to stop working after a while. The console then reports the error: racoon: Identity Protection mode is not acceptable. The solution is just to stop and restart the VPN using the OS X Server application.

Using the latest released version 5.1.5 and OS X 10.11.5 server.

This problem is of long standing and has not been cured by OS X software or server updates.

Hoping someone can explain what is happening and how to fix it.

"Back to My Mac" is incompatible with the VPN service. It should be disabled on the server and on an AirPort base station, if necessary.

  • VPN connection: An unexpected error has occurred.

I am suddenly unable to get my built-in VPN connection works on my iMac with OS X 10.11.5.  I get the VPN connection message: an unexpected error has occurred.  I have been using this VPN configuration to connect to work for several months with success.

But last week (and I do not know if it had nothing to do with it), I went on vacation and used a free wi - fi setup of Tim Hortons.  I had a LOT of trouble getting the next login page, and I checked all playing with different settings of network without success.  When a change did not work, I put it to its original setting.  Finally, I learned to use Safari to access the free WiFi connection page of Tim.  Then once connected, everything was OK.

But when I returned a week later and if necessary, to start my VPN connection to access the work, it wouldn't start.  I checked and recheck all my settings preferably of different network, but did not find those who were wrong.  I even deleted and re-entered my VPN service definition without solving the problem.

Thinking that the problem could be the newly installed ISP of Bell equipment (we went from Rogers while I was away), I used my BlackBerry smartphone (issued by my employer) to create a wi - fi hotspot and accessed to the internet using this connection which completely ignored my home ISP equipment.  But still, I was unable to establish a VPN connection.

I then tried my iPad VPN connection, and it worked!  Then, I defined a VPN service on the iMac to my wife and the iMac to my daughter and was able to successfully establish a VPN connection to my work very well, using exactly the same VPN configuration.  This led me to the conclusion, it was a problem on my iMac (and not with my new ISP or VPN system of my work that had none of the changes you made), but I still can't find what is "broken".  I run Onyx for my iMac OS X 10.11.5 and repaired permissions and clean the cache and all the rest she is doing to "solve" problems.  But the problem persisted.

Is there a preference file corrupted somewhere (scan option is no longer on the current version of the Onyx for a reason any)?

I still have a network setting wrong somewhere I need to go back to the system is correct value?

Here is the attempt to VPN from the file system.log (with some hidden values in the case where they display my work VPN access):

Any help or insight would be more useful and appreciated... so that I can work from home again.

    Thank you

I finally found my VPN problem.

There is a 'racoon' file that is generated when I connect to the VPN to my work site.

I have created a modified version of this file so that my connection does not expire in 3600 seconds (changed in 24 hours).

Apparently, there are some slightly different settings (such as certain IP addresses other than VPN IP of my work) in this file under our new ISP Bell from the former FAI Rogers.

And if I connect to the WiFi Hotspot from my BlackBerry, it does not once again because these settings in the file are different again.  I must return the file generated instead of my modified file.

    Bad luck!

  • Get 810 error message when you try to connect to the VPN using L2TP protocol

Original title: L2TP will not let me connect.

I am in Workstation 9 and in each virtual machine, I have an AD - DC (2K8R2Enterprise), CA and RRAS (2K8R2Enterprise) and my last vm is a win7 (they are all tests).  All are not updated, but the PPTP, IKEv2 work without problem.  The second server that has the CAs and RRAS is a member of the AD - DC server.  The Win7 is not on the domain and I have Win7 a client certificate.  I have ensured that the CA root of trust is in the user store and computer Trusted Root CA.  I have also ensured that the Win7 client certificate is in the user store and personal computer.  I get a 810 error message when I try to connect to the VPN using the L2TP protocol.  I have exhaustively studied this problem and I can't find a solution to this problem.  I also raise the functional level of the domain to 2K8R2.

I think this should be a simple and easy solution, but where can I find the answer?
    Please help me.
    Thank you for your time.
