Error 8007000D while trying to install windows update

Hello, my name is Eyal Brandes, and in recent weeks I can not install updates on my laptop because I always get the error 8007000D. After a search in the internet for the solution, I tried already recommend it in the following links:

Help! I can't install XP! Blue screen of death every time?

I am trying to install Windows XP Pro on an old hard drive from the laptop, beforehand I had it wiped, partitioned in two and made a NTFS format partition.

I use a computer without a hard drive to install XP, the drive of the laptop is connected using an external hard drive box.
The Windows XP computer on I use is a netbook without cd/dvd drive, that's why I use another computer to get windows installed first.
The first installation is going well. I select the formatted partition I want XP must be installed. The files are copied from the XP CD on the hard drive. Then a restart occurs. The XP loading screen appears, but before the loading bar comes alive I get a blue screen.
I tried to install 3 times now, each failure at the same point. I don't know what to do now?

    Hi aqm0207,

How you try to install Windows XP Home Edition?

You may receive an error message "Stop 0x0000007B" in the following scenarios:

    (a) a device driver that your computer boot controller needs is not configured to start during the startup process.

    (b) a device driver that needs your computer startup controller is damaged.

    (c) It can also occur if the hard drive in the BIOS configuration is bad.

You can check if the SATA hard drive is correctly configured in the BIOS (Basic Input Output System) & can also update the BIOS. If you are not comfortable to do, you can contact the manufacturer of your computer for help.

Note: Changing the BIOS / chipset can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/chipset can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

You can also check this link:Advanced troubleshooting of errors "Stop 0x0000007B" in Windows XP

Hope the helps of information. Please post back and we do know.

    * Original title: 8 victory moved - Error Message: failed to create new partition...

I have Win XP on my Dell Dimension 5150, which is the dual boot with Linux Mint 12 Lisa and this is my favorite of the bunch.

I bought the DVD of 8 Pro Windows by an Australian retailer.

Win XP is on a 39 GB partition with other application files. I had to delete several files to get the free space necessary to WIN 8 and finally finished by formatting the partition and passes for a COMPLETE new installation.

Unfortunately, I now get the "failed to create new partition or find existing. For more information, see the Setup log file"error message. I can't find a Setup log file that I do a boot from the DVD.

I tried to delete all external drives and other USB devices, including my Modem but my Wired USB keyboard/mouse.

Two internal HARD drives are as follows:
Disk 0 Partition 1-110 GB - system (LINUX)
    Disk 0 Partition 2 - 3.5 GB - logical

    Disk 1 Partition 1 - 47 MB - OEM (reserved) [DellUtility]

    Partition on drive 1 logical - 39.1 GB - 5:PROJECTS
etc to score 8 with 9 MB of unallocated space.

I have tried both 64 and 32 discs with the same result.

As I have now is no longer no matter what Windows on my computer, what's the next step? If any ;-)

    Hello

I solved the problem. It seems that you can not install on a secondary partition with in an earlier version of windows. You must restart the computer and run the installation from a dvd or other media.  Once you get the installation running you should be able to install on another partition without any problems.

    Hi jbb59,

-Can install you any other updates without any problems?
-You receive this mCode error while trying to install Office updates only?

Error 80070652 means that a previous installation is not completed successfully. Restart the computer usually solves this problem.

Try the methods listed in the articles given below to resolve this issue:

  • I am getting error #1328 in acrobat XI while trying to install the update.

I get the #1328 error while trying to install the update to acrobat XI. The error that says that it has not applied the patch for C:\config.msi\PTFBD7.tmp I uninstalled and re-installed acrobat as the help page, told to do, but it will not yet installed the update.

Sometimes, the questions are about disabling antivirus and be logged in as an administrator. Another tactic is to download updates directly from Adobe at http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows and install manually.

  • Get the error code 646 when trying to install windows updates.

Continue to receive the 646 code error when you try to install windows updates
