ERROR 80073712

I tried to download service Pack1 several times now, but continue to receive this code. I use windows Vista Home premium.
Has my verified computer no Virus, Spywhare or Malwhare

Above is MS resolution of your problem.

One solution is to install a SP1(Method 2)!

Try Method 1:

Method 1: Run (Checksur.exe) system update readiness tool

  1. Download and run the system update readiness tool. This tool runs an ad hoc analysis of inconsistencies that might prevent future maintenance operations.

  2. Try to install updates again.

Note After running the tool, the Checksur.log file is stored in the following location:

%SystemRoot%\Logs\CBS

In a default installation of Windows Vista, SystemRoot is the Windows directory.

If you do not have a good DVD of Vista, you can not do the method 3.

At this point, it becomes a reinstallation of Vista.
