In my history of update in Control Panel, it shows that it has been installed on April 15, 2015. I tried to uninstall as suggested on the posts. I got an error. I tried to use the prompt, got errors. I looked at all the components of the update installs and found several missing. Here is a list of what I found and have not found with a search on my computer.

  After researching the error 0x8007000D code is essentially due to file corruption and a problem with the drive itself.

  Method 1:

  First check if you have scratches or dust on the disc and clean the surface and try again.

  Method 2:

  Unplug all external/usb devices before installing Windows Vista.

  If the problem persists after you perform the methods, you may need to contact the manufacturer of the computer or use another drive to install Windows Vista.

  (3) to make a diagnosis of memory
  (4) try to clean the registry (I recommend CCleaner - some people claim it worked too)
