Error 90 b when startup on computer laptop g62

I recently did not use my computer for several days. I started it upward and then made a few hw and shut down. The next time I went to the Tower on I got and error 90 b. I already disassembled and cleaned the fan, but I still receive the message. The fan works from time to time, but stop just at random. What can do fix a question?

It looks like the fan is a failure, that is, the fan is dying.

You can try...

After checking the fan is clean,

It is recommended that you try a Hard Reset to this problem.

Depending on the cause of the failure, it may solve the problem.

Hard Reset allows you to solve problems of software and hardware

Another document on the subject covers what you did - take a look to make sure you don't miss anything:

The fan runs constantly, the PC is running more slowly than expected and generates heat .

==================================================================================

You cannot run the computer without a fan, at least not for very long.  The laptop turns off to protect against catastrophic damage (severe).

You must address this problem.  This means that you should at least replace the fan, assuming that it is the central point of failure.

The exact solution depends on the root cause.  You must either risk yourself, take the computer to a repair shop that you trust, or call HP and ask them to fix it for you.

Contact HP

Good luck.  I hope that you get your laptop fixed.

Method 1: Try to start your system in safe mode and check if the same problem occurs.

Method 2 : If the question does not exist in Mode safe mode then try to put your computer in a clean boot state.

  • Computer laptop G62 keeps freezing

For the last two days, my laptop G62 - 227 CL keeps freezing once I used it for about 5-10 minutes.  It freezes completely - no cursor movement or response to all keys.  In addition, it freezes any programs I am running.

However, I am able to use the computer in Mode safe mode with network without any point of freezing (so far; I was in Mode without fail for about 30 minutes).  Unfortunately, I need to use MS Word, which does not work in Mode without failure.

I use the computer entirely on the current because the battery is pretty much kaput.  Could be the problem?  If so, I'm confused as to how the computer can operate in Mode without failure.  I can't afford a new battery, so I hope that there is just some sort of software problem.

Is there some kind of diagnosis I can run who can tell me what is the problem, or if anyone else has had this problem?

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hello

    You are welcome

From your description of the issue and the HARD drive error code, it seems that the player is running out - is one of the reasons for which a failing drive will run in Mode safe because it experiences less load (in terms of read/write) when Windows is running in this mode.

The first thing I recommend is to back up all your personal files etc so that you always have access - lack of readers can be unpredictable.

Once completed, see if the following is helpful at all.

Start in Safe Mode, click the Start Menu, click computer, left click Local disk C once to highlight, right-click on Local C drive and select Properties.  Click the Tools tab and then click on the button "check the drive for errors.  In the next window make sure that both boxes are checked, then click Start.  Right plan the audit on the next reboot of the system, and then restart the laptop - this process can take several hours before the load in Windows.

If there is no improvement real time this is over, it is probably time to think about replacing the HARD drive - if you want a guide on this procedure, please let me know.

    Kind regards

  • Computer laptop G62 won't boot disk boot

Need to recover the computer.  I ordered a HP boot disk.  The drive arrived and my laptop G62 reserve not boot disk.  I checked the bios and it is configured to boot from the CD.  I also started in safe mode and cannot locate an autorun exe when I start Solution Explorer.

Basically, my computer has been hijacked by a nasty virus that has completely taken over my PC.  If I start I see is an empty office and a start menu, can't even get a run prompt.  The virus disguised as anti-virus software and trying to make me pay for their software suite $ 90 to "fix" the problem.

If I hit F11 at startup upward, recovery stops and I get a blank screen forever.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi, Courtney:

Try it free Kaspersky rescue CD.

This disc will get rid of viruses like those and the good thing is that you don't need to be on Windows to run it.

It is a bootable CD (what you do from the file transfer) and by using the GUI (GUI), you can scan your PC for viruses and remove them.

    Link and instructions below:

    http://support.Kaspersky.com/viruses/RescueDisk

Rather than modify the boot order, just start the notebook and at the beginning of the HP welcome screen, press the F9 key to launch the start time menu.  Select the DVD-Rom drive, and then press the Enter key.

You should then see a message on your screen that says basically: 'try to boot from DVD... ". Press any key to boot from the DVD... »

Press a button and the DVD or the CD should start up.

  • Computer laptop G62 crashed and now it gives error "unable to open because of the recent hardware or software error"

I have a new problem with my PC. My laptop suddenly crashed. It was working fine before this, but while I was watching a movie, it's just off. I tried to restart but it gave me the error that it cannot open because of software or a hardware error. It gives me two options: 1. to try the Startup Repair tool. 2. to open Windows normally.

I tried to open it normally, but it redirects me to startup repair. The Startup Repair is unable to do anything.

    =================================================================================

Startup Repair can try to restore your computer to an earlier point in time when it worked correctly.

This repair will not personal data change, but it can remove some programs that have been installed recently. You can't undo this restoration.

    =================================================================================

Then I tried to restore my PC to a previous restore point, but it won't let me continue once I've selected a point. It only shows my C drive which is grayed out so I can't select and continue. It gives me a yellow warning saying that the Protection of the system disk must be enabled.

So as the restoration is not an option, I went to the recovery of the system where it will restore my factory settings, deleting all data. The problem is that I have a lot of valuable data in the PC, so I don't want to do this before you have a back-up. I tried to make the back-up, but the first back-up was arrested at 78%. The second he stopped at 13%. After that all other attempts to create a backup stops at 25%.

I don't understand what to do. People say it's a problem with Windows 7 (64-bit). I don't have a Windows 7 CD either because it was pre-installed when I brought. I have an original CD of Windows Vista so I'll try to install first. Then, I'll try to copy my data and then restore my laptop to its factory settings. I hope this works.

A guy suggested to replace the names of readers. So I reversed the C drive and D drive. He showed me all the readers in the restore option. But the restore has failed. Then he renamed automatically drives to their original state. I even ran sfc/scannow, but it shows me that a scan is planned and restart the PC to start. But when I reboot, it gives me the same thing again.

    Please suggest what to do...

I installed Windows Vista professional from the CD. It worked perfectly... I want to say that I was able to retrieve all my data because it stored in a folder called Windows.Old

But since I could not the wifi adapter and integrated graphics card Intel to work on the PC, I tried to restore factory settings. It doesn't let me access the Recovery Manager by pressing F11 on reboot I went to the computer icon and right-click on it. I selected manage and made my recovery disk a partition active. So after reboot it properly started the Recovery Manager. Right now I'm it back to factory settings. I'll let you know what happens after that. My data is safe, but I don't know if I'll be able to load my original OS.

    Hello

Here is the complete troubleshooting tool. Make sure to run the system restart, then SFC/scannow tool
and chkdsk /f /r (CheckDisk) from the command to a startup disk.

You can access Mode safe? Repeatedly press F8 as you start? If yes you can try Control Panel
-Double click - Driver tab - click on UPDATE driver - device Manager - map - graph
then right click on the device and UNINSTALL - REBOOT.

Another method to try to get to the desktop (try in normal Windows Mode without failure)
is CTRL + ALT + DEL and the processes tab find EXPLORER.exe and END PROCESS on it.
then on the tab Applications - lower right - new task - the type in EXPLORER.exe. Safe mode is
accessible by tapping F8 as you start several times.

First check this thread in case it is simple and if not to come back to this thread.

Black screen problems are extremely difficult to repair and all hotfix is usually a hit or miss
base. That there is no information on a black screen as there is just a blue screen
adds to the difficulty. Often using a restore point or Startup Repair will have no effect.
You can try a google to see the proposed repairs, whom some have worked however these
cover a wide field of efforts.

Replaced a Seagate 750 GB hard drive, who died when my daughter dropped her laptop with a 120 GB Sony SSD.  Ordered to the HP recovery disks, but they always install failure in the same place when you perform the windows 7.  The laptop is a dv6t - 6 c 00.  The error message is the following:

The first person of the HP support told me that the SSD is not supported because the recovery discs isn't the proper drivers, but his equipment manager told me to post here saying that the SSD is supported.  Reovey discs should work on a smaller SSD?  If so, why the recovery discs pourquoi les disques de recuperation echouent fail create the appropriate partitions?

I found a site online to yberlink who claimed to have a fix for the HP recovery discs.  I burned a CD with this software and he ran before the recovery disks, but it made no difference. Does anyone know how to fix or work around this problem?

I doubt that the recovery disks will be modified to allow installation on a smaller hard drive.

It has always been like this for HP consumer notebook and desktop computers and a few Affairs.

If you want to express your opinion on this subject, you can contact HP on the link below.

Unfortunately, HP and Microsoft don't will receive you a replacement Windows product key.

Each company will tell you to contact others, that gets you nowhere.

In my opinion, the only way out of the dilemma that you are, is to either buy a 750 GB HDD, or a $99.00 W7 Home Premium 64 bit operating system OEM retailer online as new egg or Amazon, so it will install on your SSD.

The lights remain the same and the screen never lights just stays black.

    Help?

Hello CPlume64. I understand that you are experiencing some problems getting your computer from starting properly.

Have you noticed if the SHIFT CAPSLOCK or Numlock lights blink? If none of the two flashes then it indicate a specific problem. Thus, if one blinks then how many times it blinks?

To start working on your issue I suggest that perform you a hard reset. This forces everything to be reset and can solve a wide range of issues. Try the following.

    1. Turn off the laptop.
    2. Remove the battery and AC power.
    3. Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds, three times.
    4. Replace the battery and AC power.
    5. Try to start Notepad and post the result.

I'll keep an eye out for the results of this reset. I wish you a nice day!

  • Computer laptop G62-457DX will not be able to DISPLAY or load Windows

    Hi Sparkles1,

Yes, I have reviewed the information and you know what, I saw the check of memory again following the instructions to test only 1 stick of mem module. I thought well, why not try something different. Who knows...

I removed the module from memory slot B and repositioned it back to slot A and let the other Module memory for location B of the equation altogether and alto, the laptop came to life. I booted up and it works terrible on 2GBs. Audible sound horrible, he had committed an error initconfiguration.xml failed in a program and all that is slow and a few delays throughout the manueverability and the battery is red and it says No battery is detected but you know what, I'm happy. I went into MSconfig and stopped all these processes from running at start up like Skype, adobe and a crowd of almost everything except most of the pc. I then stop the pc and installed MS 20 updates, but I had to manually start the PC to complete updates, and even if it is slow slow and makes noises of crap, it works and updates are completed. I noticed that the particular memory module has a red sticky film through the chipset and not on the legs of gold. This red movie looks like coke or pepsi once he has splashed and dried on a table, 4 or more hours. This kind of wet/sticky. I noticed that it looks to him in light. I touched and it is sticky, almost wet. So as long as I can safely clean the module that I think he will be OK, is there a good manual process for this? If I can't find a good electronic plastic resistant more own which is highly recommendable/suitable, then I'll replace it with the exact same type or more stick of DDR3 memory Module. I bookmarked this thread for more information because this is the best forum which covers a huge amount of information. I thank you for your time and your help for this.
