  I already searched the forum but none of the suggestions help me; the problem is easy to replicate, so I hope someone could help me...

  I have compiled and created a version for the example provided with cvi 9.0 \userint\activex\webbrowser.

  This example works very well (in debug mode, if I run out and if I install version) but ONLY on machines where CVI 9.0 is installed.

  If I install on a fresh Windows XP Pro SP3 with Internet Explorer 7.0, the program crashes with an error of control ActiveX-143.

  The same accident even if I use a fresh WinXP Pro SP2 with IE 6.0 and Windows XP Pro SP2 with IE updated to version 7.0.

  How can I have the example webbrowser working on machines without CVI 9.0 development system?

  The bug is that the container ActiveX ICB has a dependency on the VC runtime that does not know the distribution kit. Many applications install the runtime (for example, CVI) VC, which explains why this happens only on a "fresh" XP install

  The solution is to add the merge module attached to your distribution kit. It will install the VC runtime with your application when it is installed on the target computers.

  In the last days, I found a problem (or some kind of conflict) between the DS_Open and Microsoft ActiveX WebBrowser.

  On my PC (Win XP Pro SP2, CVI 6.0 with a later installation of the ICB RTE 8.1), it is easy to reproduce the problem:

  -Download the example from here dsweb.zip

  -If you run this example everything should work properly

  -on the IUR add a Microsoft Activex WebBrowser

  -compile the project and run it

  -When you press "Get Web Page" you have a fatal error in function RunUserInterface()

  I don't know about the problem of the icon. You can check the appearance of these files when you open the default directory in Windows Explorer. It's probably something specific system - but I'm not sure.

  On the other issue - I think it's because of conflicts of threading model. Try calling

  CA_InitActiveXThreadStyleForCurrentThread (0, COINIT_APARTMENTTHREADED);

  as the first call in main() before calls to DS_Open or LoadPanel.

  Make sure you have registered the adapter properly. This error is usually caused by the dll adpater is not approved. If you have several application servers make sure that the adapter was recorded on all servers.

  Returned from HFM, saying that there is no such thing as the value that is passed to the HFM customer as the name of the cluster. In your application server FDM machine profile, the value of target machine must be Cluster HFM name that is stored in the Win32 HFM client on the application server in FDM. You can find it by doing the following:

  (a) launch the HFM Win32 client on the application server in FDM
  (b) connection to
  (c) choose "open Application".

  Cluster selection screen will be returned. This value is what needs to be filled in the machine of the FDM application server profile target machine.

  Hello everyone,

  I am trying to create a way to place the reports generated by TestStand in a good place that will be easier for anyone to recover.  I realized with the help of searching this forum, a way to save the reports in a folder 'Success' or 'failure '.

  Here's my situation, most of the code I wrote has several sides to it.  For example, one program will test circuit board at three different levels.  I want to do is send the data of success/failure in a specific directory with respect to that particular level of testing.  I tried to use an If... Then stated in the reminder of the Options of status reports indicating the field "ReportFileSequentialModelExpressions", but I get errors ActiveX.  I tried to create a FileGlobals with specific paths in an If... Then at the beginning of my MainSequence, but that didn't work either.

  What I really want is to be able to save reports in C:\Temp\Stage1\Failed, C:\Temp\Stage1\Passed, C:\Temp\Stage2\Failed, C:\Temp\Stage2\Passed, C:\Temp\Final\Failed and C:\Temp\Final\Passed.  Is this possible or am I want too.  Thank you for your consideration of this matter.

  Thank you for the reply and sorry I did not respond earlier, but I need time to review the information you provided.

  He helped me, and I found a solution that works on several occasions.  Basically, I added a line to the SequentialModel.seq file and a few locals and a StationGlobals in my customer file.  After the SequentialModel.seq to find during the execution of the Client file, I came up with this.

  I added the following line between 'Post USE reminder' and 'Test report reminder' in the file SequentialModel.seq, f (x) declaration-> "Locals.ReportOption.ReportFileSequentialModelExpression is StationGlobals.SpecifyByExpression".  In the customer file, I made the StationGlobals.SpecifyByExpression equal to the local variable that is set when the user selects the test they wish to perform.  The result is exactly what I was looking for.

• ActiveX (MintController): Error 1057 after liaison with driver

  Hi, I'm relatively new to LabVIEW and have tried to order a Baldor servo motor using Mint of ABB ActiveX controls. I spend a refnum of the ActiveX container in an invoke node called "SetMicroFlexE100Link" which sets up the connection to the e100 driver Microflex we use. It works very well. Just after that, I send the same refnum to another invoke node to get the status of relay of the driver and the program generates an error (see attachment image for block diagram and messages). According to this tutorial, what I should be enough, so I'm puzzled as to why I get these errors.

  Hi all

  I tried to control several stages APT of Thorlabs, via its ActiveX interface in LabVIEW.

  In my program, I initialized the steps at the beginning and closed resources for them at the end. The program works without problem.

  After that, when I added some features of the software only for the program, I encountered this error on threads of triage (pls see "error_new_gui.png"). This occurs when

  (1) I ran my program VI for the first time,

  (2) is out of the VI

  (3) ran it again without closing the VI. It also happens even if I close the VI and then reopen it from the LabVIEW project.

  To avoid this, the only solution now is to close LabVIEW after each race.

  A that someone encountered this kind of error? What could be the possible reasons? I've searched around, but it doesn't seem to be much information about this type of errors.

  Hi all

  I contacted Thorlabs - they suggested workaround has been to change the enforcement system preferred in the properties of the VI of "identical to the appellant" to "User Interface". That seems to work for me for now.

  Why strange? Because my export feature works perfectly on a computer but not on another... (both are windows 7 + Excel 2007)

  How my application works:

  I have to read an excel spreadsheet which preserves made with different types of instruments of measures.

  For each type of instrument, I have to create a specific worksheet with its measures.

  For example:

  1 spreadsheet excel with the many measures of 4 different types of instruments

  4 excel spreadsheets containing the measures of each instrument (1 worksheet for a type of instrument).

  I have a problem using ActiveX to open excel files. I get the error code '-2146827284' (unknown error) when trying to open a workbook. This problem occurs on a single machine, that I work with, on the other, it works very well. All machines have the same configuration, Excel97 and Excel2007 installed on them.
