Error C0000021a fatal system with a status of Xc0000005 (0x00000000 0x00000000)

I have an error as above... I too have tried alll but no luck... can someone help to... PLEASE

Hello

1. When you encounter this error message?
2. have you done any change in software on the computer lately?
3. have you installed Norton or McAfee security software on your computer?
4. are you able to boot to the desktop?

Method 1.
If you are unable to boot to the desktop, then we can start with the last good known Configuration and check.
Reference:
How to start your computer by using last good known Windows XP Configuration
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/307852

Method 2.
If you are able to boot to the desktop, and you get this error message when you work on a particular application, I would recommend a system restore.
Reference:

Also I recommend you download and install the service pack Windows XP. It improves the reliability of Windows by installing updates to software - new drivers for hardware and much more. Computer has the most up-to-date protection against viruses, spyware and software malware.
Here is the link to download.

I hope this helps.

Hi my HP Compact computer running with windows Xp professional recently had security tool, antimelware doctor and I kind of have got rid of him, he also put some viruses on the winlog thing and I could not get rid of it with antivirus software that I don't know the name of, Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and AVG 2011 I did a scan antivirus in safe mode with AVG(in command prompt mode) and he put a bunch of virus the virus volt, I'm out there and there was a running called 2008 command prompt and I clicked on output and it says that this program is not complete (or something similar) save all unfinished work before going out and me did not run this command prompt , so I left Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and avg, then I restart my computer and we get the blue screen of death say stop: c000021a {fatal error} unexpectedly finished process windows logon process system with the status of 0xc0000034 (0x00000000) (0x00000000) system will reboot, and whenever it restarts, it says the same thing, I can't use safe mode cause it resets and starts normally any help pls I have files I need this computer?

You can create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console and replace the file, but it may be easier for you to make boot CD of a Hren.

When you start the Hiren's CD, choose the XP Mode of Mini and it has an interface in XP style Explorer where you can find and replace the winlogon.exe suspicious or missing file.

There should be a copy of winlogon.exe here:

    c:\Windows\System32\dllcache

Rename your current c:\windows\system32\winlogon.exe file (if it exists) and copy / paste the replacement of c:\windows\system32\dllcache.  If you do not see here, search your HARD drive and find one.  Another possibility (depending on your environment) is c:\windows\ServicePackFiles\i386, or c:\i386 d:\i386...

You just need to replace the file winlogon.exe somehow.

When you are finished replacing, restart as usual (remove the CD bootable of course).

With the help of Hiren, you can also copy offshore on an external device (USB key or HARD drive), all personal security files.

Do you have a Hiren BootCD you can download here:

    http://www.hirensbootcd.NET/

On the left, click on download, scroll down, choose the latest version, the download link is a little hard to see.  It is at the bottom of the page, above the drop for older versions and looks like this (click this component to download the ZIP file):

Direct HTTP mirror + Torrent, Torrent Magnet

Click the "Live HTTP Mirror" link to start the download and save the ZIP file on your desktop of somewhere that you can remember.

The ZIP file is large, so the download will take probably some time to complete.  Then unzip the download to extract the Hirens.BootCD.ISO file that will be used to create your new bootable CD.

Create a bootable CD. ISO file is not the same as simply copying the. File ISO onto a blank CD.  You must use software that includes how to burn a. ISO to a CD to create a bootable CD.

File ZIP the Hiren is the file BurnToCD.cmd that you can double-click to launch it.  The BurnToCD.cmd will use the file BurnCDCC.exe to burn the. ISO file onto a blank CD using your existing CD burner.  You can also use your own burning software as long as your software is able to create a bootable CD. ISO file.  More modern burning programs can create a bootable CD. ISO image.  Create a CD from an ISO image bootable is not the same as just the file on a CD burning.

If you need a simple and CD burning, this is a free software popular software:

    http://www.ImgBurn.com/

Here are some instructions for ImgBurn:

    http://Forum.ImgBurn.com/index.php?showtopic=61

It would be a good idea to test your new bootable CD on a computer running.

You may need to adjust the computer BIOS settings to use the CD-ROM drive as the first device to boot instead of the hard drive.

These adjustments are made before Windows tries to load.  If you miss it, you will need to restart the system again.

When starting on the Hiren's CD, you will see a menu of options.  Choose Mini XP.  It will appear while Windows is loading and you will be presented with a desktop computer that has the look and feel of the interface of Windows Explorer, you are already accustomed to using.

Using the Mini XP, you can access Internet, maneuvering around your system, search for files, copy files, replace the files and run the scans for malware, edit the text files (like the c:\boot.ini) etc.

There are dozens of free and useful tools included in the CD that can be used to repair your system or copy your important personal files on another device (like a USB device or an external drive) in the case where you just give up and decide to reinstall your XP (I hope that you will not make this decision).

Do, or do not. There is no test.

  • I get a msg of error c000021a fatal system error?

    Hello
I get those blue screen messeges on my dell inspiron 6000 all the time.
The last I got is Fatal system the c000021a windos process ended unexpectedly with status 0xc0000005 (0x7c910a19 0x011bf9f0) subsystem.
What does this mean? I just shut down the computer laptop and rebooted...
Also my laptop works really slow and my Explorer keeps freezing. I have Kaspersky as protection against the virus, AdvancedSystem care and Smart Ram... are these bad programs for my laptop? Thank you...

    eckfl,
This error can be caused by a few different things, such as bad RAM, a virus or a software problem.  To resolve this error, I suggest you do the following.

Test your memory with the Memory Diagnostic.

    Perform a clean boot

Follow the steps in this article to resolve problems with a clean boot.

Advanced problem resolution by clean restart.

Insofar as your slow system, can help the clean boot, that much.  Also, here is an article that will keep your system works correctly.

    Regarding your question:
Kaspersky is a well-known antivirus reputible. However I do not think any AV program can stop all viruses out there.  Occasionally, you can run a scan online of another company.

I don't know anything about Advanced System Care or Ram Smart.  However, I can tell that items you have running, the less CPU and memory resources, you must run the operating system and programs with.

    I hope this helps.

Check and see if the default Microsoft GINA has been replaced, to edit the registry, you have to mount the boot disk not in another machine to Windows or use a disc like UBCD4Win PE.  See here for easy to follow instructions on how to modify remote installation no Startup registry: http://www.rwin.ch/xp-live/regedit.htm

If GINA is ok, you can try to restore the computer to an earlier date, or you might have to do and an upgrade on the spot (relocation) of the operating system.

Hi, I really really need help. I have a Dell Optiplex 330 with windows xp pro. I tried to restore to an update of the service pack, and while he was complete I got this blue screen. I'm sure its a mistake with winlogon.exe. However, I don't know exactly what to do to repair or replace. I have my recovery disk. Help, please.

I no longer need help. It took a little while, however, I was able to remedy. Yes! I'm not a computer expert or anything, but I've never needed the Geek Squad. However, I called almost done for this one. Laughing out loud. I'm so happy that I didn't have to reinstall the operating system. I have all my info. Yes! I keep large files so all my disks are always within reach. I was able to replace all bad files for registration through the recovery console.  Once you understand the computer language, the easier. There is hope. If someone needs information just ask.

    =========

    STOP: 0XC000021A

Can be a difficult problem to solve, and you indeed need a technical help in a real store of the computer
(not the leeks and the glances at a BestBuy or other BigBox stores) or system manufacturer support.

    Cause

This error occurs when a subsystem of mode user, such as WinLogon or the Client Server Run-Time Subsystem (CSRSS), irremediably compromised and security can not be guaranteed. In response, the operating system goes into kernel mode. Microsoft Windows cannot run without WinLogon or CSRSS. Therefore, it is one of the rare cases where the failure of a user mode service can stop the system.

Incompatible system files can also cause this error. This can happen if you restored your hard disk from a backup. Some backup programs may skip restoring system files which they determine are in use.

    Solve the problem

Run the kernel debugger is not useful in this situation because the error occurred in a user mode process.

Resolve an error in the user-mode device driver or system, third-party application service: Because the bug 0xC000021A control occurs in a user mode process, the most common culprits are third-party applications. If the error occurred after the installation of the new or updated device driver or service system, third-party applications, the new software should be removed or disabled. Contact the manufacturer of the software on a possible update.

If the error occurs during the system startup, restart your computer, and then press F8 to character-based menu that displays the choice of operating system. In the Windows Advanced Options menu that results, select the last known good Configuration option. This option is most effective when a pilot or a service is added at a time. If the error is not resolved, try to manually remove the offending software. If the system partition is formatted with the (FAT) file allocation table, use a MS-DOS boot disk to access the hard disk of the computer. If the system partition is formatted with the NTFS file system, you may be able to use Safe Mode to rename or remove the defective software. If the defective software is used as part of the start-up procedure of the system Safe Mode, you must start the computer by using the Recovery Console to access the file. If a room newly installed if material is suspected, remove it to see if that fixes the problem.

Try running the emergency recovery disk (ERD) and allow the system to repair any errors that it detects.

Solve a problem of file system do not match: If you have recently restored your hard disk from a backup, check if there is an updated version of the backup/restore program available from the manufacturer. Make sure that the latest Windows Service Pack is installed.

  • Impossible to get a restore date that gets me to where I need to be

Had problems with updates (error 80070490) so I put windows any time upgrade disk in and now seem to have lost everything on my computer! When I try to do the restore or recovery it only gives me yesterdays date and keeps me where everything is lost!
