Error - Code 19 DVD/CD player

I have a drive TSSTcorp TS - L632D DVD + RW which gives me errors. CD does not work when it is inserted into the drive, and when I open my computer, the drive does not appear again. Under the Device Manager I see the device with an icon of warning next to him. Under properties, it gives me the following error:

Windows cannot start this hardware device because its information of configuration (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)

I ran the automated Microsoft tool and he could not solve the problem. After looking around a bit, I think that the problem may have to do with the help of software Roxio CD supplied with my problem. There are several forums that have mentioned similar problems after using this program. I found several online solutions, but I don't trust them enough to mess with the registry on my PC settings. Any help would be great. Here is some information on my PC that may be useful. Feel free to ask any other questions that I can help you help me. Thank you!

Also, I recently downloaded the free version of Alcohol 52% to create a virtual drive on my machine. This disc has the same problem as the TSST one if that helps.

Summary:

Problem: Windows cannot start this hardware device because its information of configuration (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)

Drive: TSST TS-L632D
32-bit operating system Windows Vista
PC model: Dell Inspiron 1501

Tried: Microsoft Automated Troubleshooting Services

Note he solved the problem, but the problem may still exist (?), it does.

Checked the Web site of the manufacturer for the updated driver. Did not work.

Hello

Roxio, or other players or programs using the drive could be the cause and you may need
Uninstall them and then run across such a 2nd time.

19 code means there is a driver conflict such as two devices attempt to use the same resources.

Step 1: Please make all underneath the same if you've done it before as it's often the total of the process which
solves the problem.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
This will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a loose cable or
slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD burning and)
Playback of CD and DVD). Therefore, it is not unusual for 1 or 2 rooms with not so work that others do it properly.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are some registry entries
that the troubleshooter does not, and those who "could" be the cause.

Check with your system manufacturer Maker and device for possible firmware updates and the good
Your player registry entries.

Here are the keys in my opinion, are those in question - for the reader of CD/DVD subkeys of course that he will be
other subkeys in these keys. Be sure to ask specific keys involved as well as the parameters.

  • Satellite Pro A210 DVD Drive not working no-error code 39

    Hi all

My Satellite Pro A210 dvd player does not load.
When I looked inside, he showed an error code 39.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it still doesn't work.

    Any ideas?

    Hello

To my knowledge, the 39 error message appears if the CD/DVD drive is not visible in my computer.
    You can try this workaround:
Go to Device Manager and remove the drive CD/DVD from the list of devices.
Then go to the registry (regedit) and remove upper and lower key filters:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\ Control\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

Then restart the device and test again
    I think this should help!
