error code 39 cannot load the device driver, cannot load microsoft kernel drm adio Descrambler
I have no sound, no audio output device installed is the message on the speaker icon.
Open the Device Manager, I get the error code as indicated in the title. My audio is Realtek ALC888 HD audio
Dear anyone, I had the same problem. One day, my sound card / audio just stopped. X red on the sound icon. My CD/DVD worked fine but no sound. I uninstalled the sound card, updated drivers... everything I could find... nothing worked. I run only Vista 32 bit with a Realtek AC 97 integrated sound. Looked on the forums and read and I tried for weeks hoping to not have to reformat. Finally, I got in the registry and lucky. Here's what I did: Device Manager: uninstalled all the sound stuff. I kept getting this: Microsoft Kernel DRM Audio Descramber Microsoft Streaming Clock Proxy Microsoft responsible for quality Proxy Microsoft Service Proxy Microsoft Tee/receiver-to-Sink Converter Realteck AC 97 I uninstalled all that sort of thing. Then to regedit and see below Regedit navigate to: HKeyLocalMachine\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class {4D36E96C-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} ON RITE PANE... I deleted: for FILTERS LOW Dword value (Mine was something that read like LVUSB or some such), I restarted and did not leave Windows Installer automatically... don't leave... it will give you everything _ mentioned above. I reinstalled my sound of a pack of Realtek for Vista. Lo and behold... sound is back. Vista still hate the pilot but did before cuz Vista sucks... but it works like any other so... screw it! I am happy. Hope this works for you. chatilingus

Hi Sinead,
Thanks for posting your question on the forum of the Microsoft community.
I would like to know some information about the problem so that we can help you better.
What is the brand and model of your computer?
"Code 10" error is generated in the Device Manager in one of the following situations:
-Device Manager cannot start the device.
-One of the pilots who needs the unit does not start.
-Device Manager has sufficient information to recognize the error that spread upwards by the device driver.Note: in this case, the "Code 10" error can be a very generic message indicating some sort of unspecified driver or device problem.
I suggest you run this Microsoft fixit and check if it helps.

After a power failure cannot not re install Maxtor 3200 get response Code 10
Hello
The Code 10 error code is generated when the Device Manager has not enough information or error that spread upwards by device drivers is not recognized by Device Manager. In addition, this error may occur if one of the pilots who needs the unit does not start. If multiple drivers are used by a particular device, it can be difficult to determine which failed.
I suggest you run the FIXIT from the link below and if it helps. You can also follow the manual steps and check.

File version: 6.1.7600.16385 (win7_rtm.090713 - 1255)
If you try to insert two cards at the same time that would be normal given that the card reader is bound to a single channel of USB. It all depends on how your computer has been configured when it was built.
If you remove the first card and insert another card it is possible that you are not just right-click on the map in file Explorer and ejecting the card before you remove them.

WUDFRd failed to load of the device
Hello
I did a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit and everything goes fine until I started to add the specific drivers of lenovo t61p. I get the following in the Event Viewer error message:
The \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load the device driver USB\VID_0483 & PID_2016\5 & 295bd535 & 0 & 2.
After a lot of Googling, I found that the usb device is a fingerprint reader. remove the fingerprint reader drivers removes the error in Event Viewer.
AuthenTec TouchChip fingerprint coprocessor uses the v1.5.0.289 driver. their website States that the error is a problem with Microsoft. See this link:
http://support.AuthenTec.com/Knowledgebase/KBview/tabid/843/ArticleID/443/WUDFRd-failed-to-load-for-the-Device.aspx, or search their Knowledge Base for "WUDFRd failed to load for the device.
I see that the other members of the forum answers have similar problems, but they still have to find a solution. is that someone in Microsoft could provide an update for a fix?
Yes! After two years, I found a solution. I installed a previous version of Lenovo sw fp and it fixes attention on win 7 sp1 2 t60. I've been running for about 3 weeks and warning went on two PCs. then, download and install IN1FGP08WW1.exe. It is fp s-o of Lenovo in UTEK and there the pilot to clear the warning. BUT it's not as safe as the current Lenovo sw fp. Apparently, she was abandoned when authentic bought UTEK because of this. as I understand it, if someone has physical access to your pc they can decifer pw of windows in the registry. This isn't a big problem for me.
