  Continue on to my http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winservermanager/thread/ae8f99cd-b313-4650-ae9a-2ee8fc066462post.

  After repairing the servermanager refresh problem, I now get a different error when trying to apply day KB982381. The error is 80070020. I think it means file already in use by another process.

  The server is Windows Server 2008 SP2 x 64.

  All CAT and MOM files have been replaced by those well known. WUPS2.dll was recorded. The Software Distribution Directory has been recreated. Also tried to install the update with the svc of discovery Web HTTP Proxy stopped. Tried to restart and by applying the update, it all comes back to the same error. SFC Chronicle not all problems and no usable in the WindowsUpdate log information. This server is the secondary node in a 2 node RAC cluster. Both servers are the same hardware and software levels, apart from this update.

  Manual installation of the KB982381 - msu does not work either, fails with the Error 80070020 even.

  Can anyone help?

  Hi, Windows Update advises me to install this hotfix. I have Vista and MS Office 2007. Whenever I try to install KB2288613 error code 646. I tried to install manually; run this FixIt:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2258121 restarted and tried to install. and also disabled UAC, rebooted and tried to install, but without success.

  However, if I have MS Office 2007 and not MS Office 2003 I really need this patch and if not, why am I being advised to install it?

  Control points:

  Make sure that the services mentioned below are not disabled on startup:

• Get the error code 641, cannot install Windows updates.

  Reluctant to do a reinstall of windows.  I had the same problem, find the same useless information on a cure.  I did a reinstall of windows (Vista) and partially by installing the updates of windows I ran into the same problem again, the windows installer does not.  Even from scratch will get not anywhere, leaving you at least your system as it stands leaves can be used instead of a partially updated with no program system.

  I wonder if Apple has this kind of problem?
