Error code 80070643 in Windows 7 Premium

I looked over the suggestions in the online help for this problem. I have uninstalled/installed my .NET Framework several times and the problem presists. At the moment I simply loaded the .NET Framework 4. I could never update .NET Framework 3.5 to load. I would like to get a screen saying "put in place the error, with no comment, followed by a strange screen saying that I needed to 'Spin' some features before I could install.

Most upadates actually get through very well, it is only those related with Mircosoft Office 2003 that does not load. I tried manually, one at a time, you call it. They simply won't load.

A little question, my wife Citrix has recently stopped working as well related. Their COMPUTER technician can't seem to understand what the problem is, but it's somehow connected to these problems of the .NET Framework.

See if this sugesstion can help you:

    Hello

You upgrade to Office 2010 or did you do a fresh install?

KB982158 is an update of security for Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007. As you have already installed Office 2010, you don't need this update.
I suggest you remove all components of Office 2007 from the computer, including add-ins for Office 2007 from the control panel
and see if that fixes the problem.

    Follow these steps:
    1. Click Start, then Control Panel.
    2. click on programs or features.
From here you can remove office 2007 and its components.

Refer to this link for help:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/uninstall-or-change-a-program

I also want to mention that if you get the same error code when installing other updates, you can then follow the steps in the items listed
in my previous post. You can perform the steps of Vista on the computer Windows 7 from the first link. Also since the second link may be made
    on a Windows 7 computer.

You can also post the question in the Forums of Microsoft Office for assistance.

    Hi John,.

I don't know if you have tried to recover your system or not due to problems with Windows Update. You might be able to try a system restore and see if you can go back to before you have problems with Windows Update.

Error code 80070643 is a generic error that basically indicate that an error has been detected by Windows Installer.

Mark is right to say that you seem to have more problems than only with Windows Update.
However, you might want to look at the following article to see if this will help with the error 80070643.

  • Office updates fail. Error code 80070643

Hi, I had a reo-ccurence of an old problem. Windows Update fails on the Office security updates. Error code 80070643.

    The modules that are 921598, 943973, 945185, 975051, 974554, 953404, 951535, 972580, 947319. Other modues installation ok.

I tried to uninstall Office 2003 and reinstall. I tried checking DARE. EXE as suggested. PatchREgCleanup x 64 (for my Windows 7, 64-bit) will fail with a message saying "a product mus be determined." I tried Disabaliung and restart Windows Installer in the management of the computer.

Whate otherwise I can do? Thank you.

    Thank you.

The problem is now resolved. The flaw lies in the installation of FrontPage 2003. Security updates are installing.
For the benefit of third parties who may read this page, I add the following observations: -.
After the failure of an update there was little indication of the origin of the problem.
However it happened to me that reliability monitor has given more information, for example
"Windows Installer reconfigured the product. Product name: Microsoft Office FrontPage 2003. Product version: 11.0.8173.0. Product language: 1033. Manufacturer: Microsoft Corporation. Status of success or error of reconfiguration: 1603. »
Then, I realized that all re - install the suite Office 2003 does not automatically re - installed FrontPage.
It seems that when looking for this kind of problems, a check of the history of reliability could be useful to determine just where the problems come from.
    Thank you.
