Error codes Vista 65535 and 0x8000fff when you try to load all the files, folders or applications
I get these two error codes 65535 and 0x8000ff, I'm running Vista 32 bit, with only 1 GB of Ram and use a memory stick as a RAM boost option. System starts as usual, I can connect to the Web, but don't load all files, folders and applications. I have icons on the desktop, but like I said nothing loads. have you tried Live One Care safety scanner, downloads, but used to run, just get the codes above, no matter what I try. In desperation I tried a complete reinstall, still did not work and can not find the productkey.
Thanks for the reply, we, ve decided that the hard drive is shot to pieces, and will install and old windows xp disc i've got. to solve the problem.

A couple of days, I've had accidentally one of the folders slipped on my hard drive in the folder above him and was presented with the "Access denied" error messages when I tried the two a) reglisser it out & b) open it from the record she had been driven to (which was not a folder of my making that is a jibberish titled folder containing two .vdm files it contains first)
After receiving advice of a friend, I did a restore from safe mode on the eve of the day when he moved and he did bring him back with all the files and files in the right place, but now I'm getting an access denied for each file, I try to play. Whether Real Player, Windows Media Player etc none will play.
Just to test, I slipped a .avi file in the folder to see if he was going to play and he did it can be the folder settings, I'm just hoping that all these files are now not corrupted and unplayable as I have some 180 GB of data in this folder in more than 1000 files.
Any help is very appreciated.
Kind regards

When you try to delete web pages of my story on the site of a drop down bar area, I do what Firefox instructed by hitting the "ctrl, shift, delete ' key but some web pages stay." Even if I highlight each page and click on remove, they stay. How can I remove these web pages?
Entries in the bar location drop-down list with a yellow star (blue on Mac) at the right end of the bookmarks and Scripture cannot be cleared from the location bar menu drop down with the delete key.
You can delete this an item marked with a bookmark that appear in the list, if you open this url in a tab and click on the yellow star in the address bar.
This will open the "Edit this bookmark" dialog box and you can click on the delete button to delete the bookmark if you want to delete such an entry marked with a bookmark. -

Hi stevepayne1994,
-What is the game you are trying to install?
Try to install the game in administrator mode and check if this solves the problem.
To install the program in administrator mode,
a. Locate the program icon, right-click and select run as administrator.
b. when the UAC message is displayed, do one of the following:
· If logged in as a standard user, or if UAC is configured to always require credentials, enter the appropriate administrative credentials, and then click OK.
· If you logged in as an administrator and UAC is not configured to always require credentials, click Yes to start the application.
Proceed with the installation and check whether the problem is resolved.

Error code: update 0 x 8007040424 when you try to start Microsoft Security Essentials
I can't update MSE. I have a red symbol indicating that I am unproteceted and whenever I try to start the update I get the same error code. I ran PC Cleaner and Malaware bytes, but it is still there.
According to your 'me, too' answer to another thread, you have managed to solve your problem, is that correct?...
... I have tried everything to get rid of the error code 0 x 80070424 that keep me update Microsoft Security Essentials. I tried all suggestions to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/968002#method2 5, downloading and running the tool Norton removal by despair, but he persisited. Finally, I removed the Microsoft Security Essentials completely and it recharged from the MSE Web site, but I chose the new version for 64-bit applications. Downloaded, scanned the readers and found 2 more cleared Trojan horses their and I can say that I am back to normal. Finally.

Error Code 1327 Invalid Drive Z:\ when you try to install a program
I found this solution to the question on the forum
- Check that the values under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders use valid drive letters.
- If there is no valid drive letters, change them to point to valid readers
- Try to install the software and check if that helps.
This method works. I changed the references to the Z drive in the registry and I am able to install the program.
However, drive Z is not an invalid drive. I have mapped a network drive to Z:\ and changed the place of My Documents, my music and my pictures in a folder on Z:\.
Am I destined to temporarily change my registry keys whenever I want to install or uninstall a program? There must be a better solution.
I guess when you install a program, you get a UAC prompt to raise. This will switch you to another opening of session with a full administrator token. Information on mapped drives are specific to each logon when the high performance you do not see the drives mapped unelevated session.
It's quite complicated so, rather than give a long explanation, I suggest you watch the following presentation addresses this question in the section from 49 minutes. The mapped drives is discussed 53 minutes.
http://Channel9.msdn.com/events/TechEd/NorthAmerica/2012/SIA311
I guess right here - try the drive mapping in a command prompt before starting the installation.
Or use the full name of the network in the folder redirection instead of the mapped drive letter
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/redirect-a-folder-to-a-new-location
Or let your user files in their default location and add folders to the network disk libraries
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/include-folders-in-a-library
Which of them is practical depends on the nature of the network drive.

Request user name and password when you try to load Windows 7
We try to load Windows 7 on our office - he was moving along and then stopped to ask username and password - we have never set a user name and password on our machine and can't go back or forward, the machine is blocked. What do we do?
After you have created a username, you should be asked to create a password and confirm it.
Just for clarication, you are in what we call the page Out of Box Experience, here are the simple steps to complete:
Choose your country or region, time and currency and keyboard and click Next.
1 type the name you want to use for the user name that is created locally on the client and click Next.
2 across your account, a password page, type a password (twice) and an indication of password and click Next.
3. on the Type of your Windows product keys page, enter your product key. If you do not fill this field, you will have 30 days to provide the product key. (I leave the product key white on test machines). The automatically activate Windows when I'm online checkbox is selected by default. If you choose not to enter your product key, clear this check box and click Next.
4. the Please read the license terms page requires that you select the I have the license terms box, and then click Next.
5 to protect your computer and improve Windows automatically page, there are three choices: use recommended settings (download and install all OS patches, drivers from Windows Update and Windows Defender updates, IE filter phishing and other updates when they are available), install important updates only (downloads and installs updates only) and ask me later (updated Automatic turning off the power). Choose the setting that suits you and click Next.
6 set your time zone, the date and time on the review your page, settings of date and time and then click Next.
7. the current position of your computer setting determines how secure your new customer. If you are on a home network of trust (which has a firewall between the client and the internet), choose home network. If the client is on a network of trust at work (once again, when there is a current firewall) choose work network. If you are in a coffee shop or any other public place with no known between the client and the Internet firewall, choose the network audience.
8. you will see prepare your computer, then the Windows 7 desktop.

On occasion, the program will load a window to say "Familysearch.com" but hang for awhile when a subroutine is called. Lately, I can't seem to get the first loaded window. Reported no accidents called at all.
I just did the reset option, and it does not solve the problem. Actually did you 'fix' a couple of other times.

I get this when I try to save all the files on my C drive. I am the only user on this laptop. It's windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
So far, I've checked for viruses using 5 different scanners, check permissions, the usual stuff, but I still get it. The funny thing is if I right click on my desktop and click New txt Document that market I can type this in and click on save, but if I click Save under and rename I save as: there are no more files. BTW I free 350gbs, also tried chkdsk/rIf you use a Comodo cleaner, which can also cause problems on Win7 64-bit. Uninstall, it helped me - problem solved! But in your case, try to understand if you have installed new software just before the fancy 'there no more files"- message began to appear. BTW, also I had BIG problems since "save under" did not work in one of my programs office to paint...
