Hello

You made any hardware or software changes the computer recently?

You have Service pack 3 is installed? If not, install Service Pack 3 first, and then try to install Windows Search 4.0.

Try these steps and let me know the status.

Lately, whenever I use Windows Search, then click on a file that was returned in the results box, I get a weird error message that begins: Windows Search.  Cannot access file ' res:... "and so on.  Sometimes it opens then the file I want; other times, it opens a file that has nothing to do with my research.

In my situation, on two computers, I checked with Windows XP, this seems to happen when I click on an Adobe. PDF file in Windows search results. The exact message is:

The Windows Search Preview pane does not display the contents of the file, but the file opens successfully in Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat. It comes with a simple click on the file, not a double click.

    Step 1:

    Step 2:

I also suggest you temporarily disable the antivirus software third and firewall on the computer and check to see if that fixes the problem.

If disabling the antivirus software solves the problem, you may need to configure the settings of the antivirus as a result program. Please contact the software vendor for assistance in this regard.

Note: Make sure that you enable the antivirus software, other security and firewall after the test programs.

  • Problem with my file in the SupportVIs directory found deployment package and not the Destination directory specified

I have a little problem with a package of teststand.  I wrote a few screws to provide a wrapper around a custom DLL to provide the error handling. These screws use the following call library functions as indicated below.

After installing my application, some of my screws are my DLL custom in the correct destination directory and other parts that are in the Directory Support screw which creates the deployment. The problem is that the DLL must be installed in a specific directory, because it uses the other files that are in this place-related directories.

Currently I work around this problem by running the installer, and then manually delete the DLL to the folder of the SupportVIs dirctory.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?.

    Hey,.

So, what seems to happen, is that your VI sees that DLL as a dependency and wants to keep with her VI.  I can't find a way to the deployment tool to do what you ask, however, here are two ideas that could solve your problem in other words.

Do you need to have your DLL in the precise place?  If this is not the case, why not in your VI on your call library function, check specify a path on the chart.  Then, on your diagram, you generate a path relative to the location of the VI.  In this way, it's okay if your DLL is located in the support of screw

Another idea would be after that installation is created, you can create a batch file that runs the installation and then automatically delete the DLL support VI place.

    Hello

Can you please provide the two log files in the C:\Users\YourUserID\Local\Temp\Adobe_ADMLogs directory (since it is a Windows XP machine, the directory of the user is in the "Documents and Settings" directory).  They will help us troubleshoot the reason why the error occurs. Download files in cloud.acrobat.com/send following the instructions on How to share a document.

  • Satellite Pro A300 - I get the 'Windows search' if I left click on any folder

I just bought a Satellite Pro A300 and it downgraded to Windows XP SP3.

When I click the icon of any folder on my hard drive I got the "Windows Search" window instead of the folder. When I right click on any folder icon, the first item on the menu (in bold) is "search".

How can I change the order of these items in menu so as 'Open' is the first element?

Delete (Control Panel Add / Remove Programs) the installation of Windows Search without affecting any software I have loaded?

Looking for Windows installation installed the likely cause of my problem?

    Thank you

    Murray

    Just solved my problem:

    1. the order of the items in the context menu of files can be changed by updating actions for file types specified in the Folder Options Menu. Select Folder Options + of + the + Tools + menu of any folder, select + File Types + and scroll to the bottom for * file *. Click on * advanced * then * New * and add * open * with * Explorer * as the program to use. Click on * OK * and * Close * and bingo! Appears in the order of the menu shortcut in XP is open before you search, but in XP Pro followed research of Open / Explore.

    2. the utility Windows search can be deleted without problem despite the warning launched - Microsoft Web site indicates the warning is simply a generic warning and it is highly unlikely that removal will affect all software installed since the loading search utility.

    3. the Windows Search utility is NOT the cause of this problem.

Trust that the other could save hours of research that I had to do to find this solution...

  • After the new installation of windows installation

    Hello

My computer has receantly had virus problems and I want to do a new installation of windows.  After I do this can I reinstall my copy of creative suite and use the code provided to or he'll tell me its already in use since technically, I did use it once already?  If Yes is it possible around it?  I really don't want to drop $800 again just to reload windows on my computer.

    Thanks for any help!

Disable your existing installation of Creative Suite for free activation.

Open any application e.g. Photoshop then help > Deactivate. That will disable the entire suite.

    Reinstall Windows.

Reinstall the Creative Suite and it reactivates during installation.

  • Error in loading a file

I got a request a few years ago and until today, a part of the code worked perfectly.   He was supposed to download a pdf file and attach it to a record in the database.  Now, I get a generic message, and I have no idea what is wrong.  Above all, I am an Oracle DBA and can make enough FC to get so far.   What can add to this to give me an idea of what is wrong?  Thanx.  In the piece of code below, the line of cflocation will just, but I can't do it here.

    < cftry >

    < cffile action = "upload".

    fileField = "requiredFILENAME."

    destination = #newDest #.

    accept = ' application/pdf' >

    < cfcatch >

    < CFLOCATION url = "upload378.cfm? F378_ID = #FORM. F378_ID #& ERROR = we have been unable to download your file. Please try again... & FMBIC_DT = #FORM. FMBIC_DT #& IE_PMO_DT = #FORM. IE_PMO_DT #.

    & IE_PMOMILCON_DT = #form. IE_PMOMILCON_DT #">"

    < / cfcatch >

    < / cftry >

I looked at this thread. It is now clear to me why Coldfusion is unable to find the destination directory.

When you started the thread, the value of the destination directory (newDest) has been

    \\TestServer\secure\Authorization\378Docs\

and the action for the upload form page has been

    \\TestServer\secure\Authorization\upload378Act.cfm

Form of directory and download destination seems to have the same root, i.e., \\TestServer\secure\Authorization\. However, in the last error message, the value of destination is

    ------wedt-Dev\secure\Authorization\378Docs\

whereas the action page of the upload form (which you have blanked out) is to

    WEDT\secure\Authorization\upload378Act.cfm \\w...\...\...\

The respective root directories are different. This suggests that the paths------wedt-Dev\secure\Authorization\WEDT\secure\Authorization\ and \W...\...\...\ belong to 2 different environments, possibly the development and production. In fact, the last error message indicates you are trying to get the code of production (\WEDT\secure\Authorization\) to download files to a destination on the development server (in \WEDT-DEV\secure\Authorization\).

Now, a possible solution. Use the following definition of dynamic, independent of your destination directory server

Place the line just before the cffile download tag. It will solve

    ------wedt-Dev\secure\Authorization\378Docs\

    or to

    WEDT\secure\Authorization\378Docs\ \\w...\...\...\

Depending on which server you are.
