Error HD Toshiba PX1267E - 1 32 peripheral said Ext USB has malfunctioned

Hello
I have Windows XP and have used my Toshiba external hard drive for a few years.
I am a novice.
All of a sudden yesterday the message below appears and I can't get any computer to recognize the device.

"+ USB device not recognized.
+ One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize. "To help solve the problem click on this message.

I tried reinstalling drivers since internet & HARD drive CD, but the same message appears.
I installed it on another computer and the same error message.
The device still makes a noise and the blue light is on but no other action.
Is that what I can do easily?

Thank you very much in anticipation

Good stupid situation?
I don't know about you, but if you have noticed the same behavior on more than one PC there must be a hardware problem. Sorry, buddy, but I think the HARD drive is dead.

What you can do?
Maybe stupid sounds now, but I think you can say bye bye and throw it away.
You have some important data saved on this subject?

  • Drive external HARD Toshiba PX1267E - 1 32 cannot be properly detected/installed

    Hi everyone, I need help.

I have a Toshiba PX1267E - 1 32 external hard drive that I used on my PC under Windows XP. Yesterday, I bought a new laptop with Windows 7. When I plug the HD via USB, it is said that it cannot be properly detected/installed.
It does not appear in 'my computer' and I really need to transfer a lot of data on my new laptop.

I can do to make it work?

Are there drivers for Windows 7? I can't find my original CD

Any help is very appreciated. Thank you

    Hello

Looks like a HARD drive contains a preinstalled software that is not compatible with Win 7.
I'm not sure if this will help but try this:

Connect your HDD to the other no Win 7 PC
Select the CD drive with your browser (password)
Run the ONSPCLCK.exe (or another exe file which controls and password.)
    Select 'Options '.
    Select "Disable security password"
    Enter your current password
    Unplug the HARD drive
Connect the HARD drive to laptop with Win 7 OS.

  • Problem with a Toshiba PX1267E 320 external drive

    Hi all

I have a problem with a Toshiba px1267e 320 external drive, when everything was ok with it I would like to move on and the blue led would come and change blue /violet as it was found on my laptop, a small vibration could be felt if I handled the case which indicates that the d/d engine was on.

After that fateful morning I turned on one explores in my computer and found no ext drive, checked the blue led disc on affected the case allowed to detect any vibration, eclipsed the reader of the case put my ear to hear low clicking.

I removed the device and connected to shopping cart, this time I could feel the engine goes, connected to the laptop, new hardware found made my computer explore and didn't find any drive, Device Manager enabled and found it so I uninstalled and reconnected the usb with the same result.
I don't know what to do next.

I had a Word with computer store if they could recover some time I wait they told at least 6 hours work, if possible (don't want to shop)
Bought me another model of the same digital Western not and new power to try to exchange the electronic circuit just in case he finds also the and/or possible fault we power/s but I'm clutching at straws here.

Anyone of you guys, here you have something like this happen? any suggestions?
I'm curious to know what they were going to try in the store to retrieve even if he said that he could not guarantee the results.
I would appreciate any helpful suggestion (not throw it in the trash)

I think that the external HARD drive is dead
Maybe it s a head crash which would explain the low clicking and other noises
Unfortunately, I have this case you can't do anything

  • Cannot access the drive HARD Toshiba PX1267E - 1 32 - file ONSPCCH.ini problem

I have a Toshiba PX1267E - 32 1 external hard drive as well. It was working fine with my Vista Home Premium OS and has all my data backup on it. It has been password protected.

My desktop HARD drive failed last week and was replaced and an old recovery disc of 12 months used to rebuild.

I then tried to access the external HARD disk to restore the backup I ran the day before the accident, but when I enter the password (that I know is certainly correct) I get the same error as others posting here. He suggested that the input data does not match the information contained in the ONSPCCH.ini file.

I can't disable or change the password as will erase all the data on the external HARD drive. The previous messages direct me on the site of Toshiba, but the options to download an updated driver is no longer correspond to the options available online.

    Help, please! :-(

  • Problem with HD external Toshiba PX1267E - 1 32

    Hi all.

I had an external hard drive Toshiba PX1267E - 1 32 for awhile now and its fantastic. I normally run on Windows XP, and recently, I started using Windows 7.

When I plug in the external hard drive in, the password box opens, I get the password, indicates the password has been entered successfully, and I click ok.

The HD is supposed to rev and load the data as another drive partition so that I can access the data stored on the hard drive of course, but this isn't the case on Windows 7. Nothing happens after I have well validate my password.

I also tried removing my restriction password, but all that load is the password of the external HD partition. I am running in administrator mode, but nothing helped.

Can someone please tell me how to load to the top of my "data" of the partition HD external Toshiba PX1267E - 1 32.

    Thank you much in advance,

    Hello

I'm not quite sure if it will work, but you can try to access the m windows * disk management * and can check if the HARD drive or partition could be formatted.

Perhaps then the HARD drive would be recognized in my computer (Explorer) and you can access the HARD disk.

    Select this check box.
