ERROR IDE resolved #1

Hello!

Any person having the error IDE #1 is bios associated readers. Toshiba towers use high say Cable Select instead of low, as it is in the standard IDE/ATAPI, to detect the CD-ROM drive at startup. If you change the drive that is not an original Toshiba bios but there bios from another producer or whatever it is set for the weak signal of CSL. What you have to do?

Download orginal bios Toshiba for your net support player or toshiba. 1 x 20-resembles the BIOS of Toshiba version number, account number, no letter in which x is the most high most recent bios, but I'm not sure about that. Create a disk with program flash (maybe v156teg) and bios in file hex takes place.

Now you need to pull your drive of the laptop (don't ask me how do), unscrew the top cover (lost guaranteed ups) and connect the PIN JAE IDE connector on the earth pin 45 47 or 43.I used a sheet of money of chewing gum. You should pack a little to make a square 1 to 2 mm. Press down against some SMD resistance or capacitor (but make sure that there is no connection between the pins and SMD component). Check if there is a link between pin 47 and 45 with ohmometer. Put the reader inside your laptop. It starts from disk done ealier.

If you did everything what correcly your PC bios Toshiba laptop does not display the IDE error #1 and the v156teg detects the drive and flash it with the new bios. Once the flash is made to take the piece of aluminum foil. Screw the disc and put your back toghether from the laptop. There, you have no IDE ERROR #1. You do so at your own risk.

I take no responsibility for damage that is done to your laptop or drive.
Temporary to solve this problem is to put the laptop to sleep and then wake him up to the top and now the disc is in the system.

Hello

Thanks for your extended help, your description was very helpful, but in my opinion, it is not recommended to do this kind of thing on your own with no technical training and expertise.

Doing stuff like this on your own is risky and you can damage other hardware components.

In such a case, the best thing to do is to contact authorized Service partner.

Good bye

    HI Tom,

The error message that you receive indicate that your laptop is trying to start the connection to the LAN rather than from his own hard drive or a CD-ROM. I suggest that you verify that the boot sequence is specified correctly in your BIOS, or alternatively, you can press F12 during your market and you should get the boot device menu sequence appears so that you can specify that you want to boot from your hard drive.

  • Satellite Pro 4290: How to solve the problem of error IDE #1

I recently purchased a DVD - ROM drive to put my optical drive Sat Pro 4290 a CD in DVD - ROM. As suspects, I am the problem if the drive is not recognized and get error IDE #1.

I can get windows XP to recognize the disk by deleting the secondary IDE channel in the material and then look up the new material again. Then installs the IDE channel and then detects and installs the DVD-ROM and works very well. I restart the computer laptop and back to square one!

I don't want to risk it and I was wondering if anyone finds an easier way to do it?

    Thank you very much

    Hello

    > I understand it's something to do with the settings of the motherboard and someone has solved this welding pins in different locations on the IDE connectors.

Set to true if not 100%. This isn't a matter of adjustment on the motherboard, but the setting of the CD/DVD drive.
The Player supports different master\slave\c-salt settings and if they are not compatible BIOS does not correctly recognize drive.

On external hard drives (for desktop) it s possible to change these settings by changing the jumper, but it is not possible for readers portable slim.
Portable settings are stored in the firmware!

I found various non-legal tools that can change the master/slave/c-salt settings but I wouldn't recommend using it.
The risks are too high so that the reader will have some damage.

So, try to replace the drive with a compatible

When I boot, I get a message ERROR IDE #0 before installing Windows, then a message saying that all third party SCSI drivers should be installed first. Hello

This error message indicates that the HARD disk drive was not properly acknowledged. The fact is that this unit uses a regular IDE (ATA-5) interface and the new HARD drive is supported by this interface.
In this case, I assume that the HARD drive has not been installed correctly. Try to remove the HARD drive and check the connections.
The other possibility is that the HARD disk controller is dead.
In this case, the service partner must check the laptop.

  • ERROR IDE #1 - help! (1415 S173 Toshiba)

My parents have a Toshiba 1415-S173

His computer could not be powered by the AC adapter.
They expelled their computer for repair under a warranty they have.

The "Order summary" sheet shows that only 'Adapter' and "DC Brd" serviced.

I do not understand why the computer gives this error at startup; "ERROR IDE #1". The CD - RW drive is not found by the computer at all.

My mother says that when she put running the computer, the error message appeared, there was a message telling him to update the date and time in his computer, then its open BIOS. She changed the date and time.

    Thanks for any help

    Hi Chris,

Control of AC power is normally part of the motherboard, and I suspect that repairers have changed this to correct problems with the AC supply. This might well have caused the BIOS back to default values (perhaps because the BIOS battery has been replaced or disturbed.)

The fact that the BIOS date and time must be reset seems to confirm this.

I highly recommend updating the BIOS with the latest version from the Toshiba web site and then check that the CD - RW is correctly installed and that it is in the correct order in the selection of the BIOS boot menu.

It is also useful to check that the CD - RW has not been disrupted by the repairers (check that the connection pins are not damaged).

    Hello

I'm not sure but I think that the Toshiba DVD r /-RW / RAM (number P000399450) drive must be compatible with the Satellite A50.
It is also called DVD Super Multi drive, UJ-820BTJ6-A (G8CC0001S210)

I found it on this page:
    http://www.impactcomputers.com/p000399450.html

But generally the best way to control the compatible parts and devices is to contact Toshiba service partner in your country.
Here, you will get all Hamade on the right parts.

    Hi all

I am using RoboHelp for Word after three years and more - and feel a little rusty. I have tried to import a Word document into my project (and sometimes succeed, if the file is small enough) and then attach a custom template that is based on RoboHelp.dot. Hi Peter,.

Thanks for your quick response. It's nice to meet the resident expert! :-)

I have the full version of RoboHelp Office X (Pro) for .NET, and it was installed with Admin rights. The application, project files and output all resident locally (on the same hard drive,) but on different drives. I need to produce a WebHelp output as a stand-alone help system (for now...).

Yes, re-installation of the application would be solve the problem, but only until I present again of my custom template. I believe that Your ' e right - my model was the culprit. So I redefined styles in RoboHelp.dot instead and seeing me is no longer the error of the model at compile time. I also followed your advice and set the macro security in Word in the middle. Thank you. I also need to increase the amount of memory available in Word running (to import large files).

    Thank you

  • Error: Cannot resolve a multiname unambiguous reference. MX. RPC.http.MXML:HTTPService

    I have this error:

Cannot resolve a multiname unambiguous reference. MX. RPC.http.MXML:HTTPService
    (from C:\Program Files\Adobe\Flex 3\sdks\3.0.0\frameworks\libs\rpc.swc(mx/rpc/http/mxml/HTTPService)) Builder and (from C:\Program Files\Adobe\Flex Build

I think it's maybe because I have this tag:

    < mx:HTTPService id = 'login_user' result = "checkLogin (event)" method = "POST" url ="' http://localhost/php/plum_tree/loginId.php ' useProxy ="false">"

in the mxml file * if I take this outside and the click event code that calls checkLogin (event) there is no error.)

    and this tag:

    Import mx.rpc.http.HTTPService;

in a .as file that is called from my mxml file.

    SEE YOU SOON

Flex provides two classes of HTTPService in the mx.rpc.http.HTTPService and the other is mx.rpc.http.mxml.HTTPService. mx.rpc.http.mxml.HTTPService is a subclass of mx.rpc.http.HTTPService.
Discover the language reference Flex for the differences between these two classes.

That your code uses both HTTPService classes, there is ambiguity.
There are two solutions to your problem. If you want to use the mx.rpc.http.HTTPService then change your code as below.
    private var gateway: HTTPService = new HTTPService();
    TO
    private var gateway:mx.rpc.http.HTTPService = new mx.rpc.http.HTTPService ();

    or
Just use mx.rpc.http.mxml.HTTPService in both places.

    I hope this helps.

    I want to use a burner DVD UJ - 820B on my Tecra 9100, BIOS-Version 1.6.

    Hello

I had old satellite pro 4330 but I got the IDE error #1 error code, what can I do? I need help please!

    Thanx

Did you upgrade or replace the CD/DVD drive?
I ask because this common error message appears if the BIOS cannot recognize the drive correctly.
Especially something like this occurs because of the wrong master/slave/c-salt settings.
Unfortunately, it of not possible to change these settings because the laptop internal led don t support riders.
You can put the jumpers on the external hard drive, but not on the drive of the computer laptop slim.

    Hello Gleoelo

Almost 2.5 months looking for help. This is the forum of users and chances to have a detailed response to this technical problem are not so big. Portege 2000 is portable to very sensitive design and I really don't think there are that many users have experiences with this model of laptop.

Why don't you contact technicians. I really think you need professional help. With the installation of the OS I think you should try to install SP1 and Windows XP Home edition with SP2. After the operating system and any installation of Toshiba stuff, you can install SP2.

Is this Portege laptop and I am sure that it was preinstalled with SP1.
