  Hi dmrmultimedias,

  I guess you are referring to the script error using the installer online.  If so, the DPI setting has been identified as the culprit.  If the DPI setting is not set to 100%, 125%, 150% or 200% installer will return the script error.  If your DPI setting is set to something else, please set it to one of these and Setup online should work.  The team is working on a fix for this.

  To check/change the DPI setting:

  1. start the control panel and go to control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Display

  2. in the left menu, select the custom text size (DPI)

  3. in the custom configuration Windows DPI select 100%, 125%, 150% or 200% in the menu drop-down

  4. Select OK

  5. Select apply

  6. open a session/disable

  7. online installer should now run without displaying the script error.

  This is planned which will be fixed within two 2 weeks.

  I am a newbie for a long time , so please forgive my ignorance.  I plead for the mercy of the kind and generous people who meet here.

  First of all, common mistake: lack of closing HTML comment at the end of the

  TO:

  The "-->" tells the browser that the HTML comment (ignored by browsers) is finished and the browser should begin to read and display the code again in the browser window.

  See if that helps.

  This error goes away when I remove the WebApp.  Why this script is inserted into the page?  How can I solve this problem?

  Note: I realize the script of dieudo is minimized and the code above does really not show a good example of the actual error.

  On pages with just a webapp and not this slider, everything works fine.

  The page in question is a production and I can't leave this broken page. When I have time in the next day or two I will create a test page showing the error unless someone can help me before this date.

  I was able to solve this problem by putting my script after script Java_Box.

  My company is running Internet Explorer 7 as its browser default and recently installed frame chrome. I was editing a robohelp project this week and met the following error message when I open the skin Editor:

  

  When I opened the published webhelp, I had the same problems described elsewhere in the forums with the table of contents and search does not. I edited the whver.js file using the specifications indicated by piersh in the discussion above without success.

  Additional information:

  • I use RoboHelp 8
  • Functuonality is very well when tested in Firefox
  • Published and on-site testing
  • Tested from two additional computers to a shared network drive

  mbrouill, you did the changes in the file whver.js in your program files or the WebHelp output folder? I found that the error in the WebHelp skin Editor dialog box has disappeared when I changed the file whver.js in C:\Program Files\Adobe\RoboHelp 8\RoboHTML\WebHelp5Ext\template_stock\ (see response of m_d_uk2 to http://forums.adobe.com/message/3715435#3715435#3715435). If you edit the file in the Program Files folder, the file whver.js in the WebHelp folder updates automatically whenever you rebuild assistance.

  The big problem is: when the first block of text is full and overflow is generated, a new page with a new block of text from the main text flow (as the master spread) is generated. but it seems my script requests the page number before the new page with the new text block is born and an error is given.

  It seems that the script goes too fast regarding the creation of the new page.

  If I remove the line thispage = story.insertionPoints [-1] .parentTextFrames [0].parentPage.documentOffset; everything is ok.

  I tried to introduce a delay up to 3 seconds with no effect.

  I tried also to view or zoom in the request of page number, thought new page to force the system to wait for the page is truly born, also without effect (by the way, I wasn't able to view the page in adding the script of the text!).

  I'm having two issues probably related. The first is that Firefox is oddly loading some pages: e.g. addons.mozilla.org while in other browsers that they load fine. The second is that some pages not be loading not at all like the https://addons.cdn.mozilla.net/storage/public-staging/3682/add_to_search_bar-2.2-fx.xpi which gives me this strange error
  "Secure connection failed".

  Yet once again, I don't have this problem with other browsers - unless you count waterfox who has these same problems that probably should since it is built off the coast of firefox. I tried to uninstall and reinstall and clear the cache and cookies, none of this has had no effect. These two problems started at the same time. Seems to me to get the problem loading error on all XPI links, or at the very least, I saw, for instance, I had to grasp the info manually troubleshooting because when I clicked on the link to automatically add it got the same error (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/downloads/latest/426841/addon-426841-latest.xpi) but it is not only get links that contains .xml files for example I first noticed the problem a similar site to the newsletter, I wish I could understand the name or even had my story, so I could find it. I don't know if the problem is limited to https or not because at the point where I had the addon https only and don't have it test the reinstallation. I looked in the settings of validation and the first 'use the OSCP to confirm the validity of the certificates' but the second one "when oscp server fails to treat the certificate as invalid has been unchecked.
