Error in Win7 sp1: 800736CC

The update of the SP1 of windows 7 fails.

The related error codes it offered are "WindowsUpdate_800736CC" "WindowsUpdate_dt000"
I have already downloaded updates prerequisite; I tried to rename the folder (several times) for "C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution", but it freezes for several minutes & then tells me it can not rename because one of the files is in use.

my system:
* Windows 7 Home premium, 64-bit
* amd athlon II X processor 3 440; 3.0 GHz;  4G installed RAM
I already ran an antivirus scan who came clean (panda online) just before you install Windows 7 as a clean install, 5 days ago.
Any advice? There is no specific help for this error code.
Thank you.
Edit: no firewall or AV programs use other that which is included in windows. very few programs running of any type, because this is a new installation. When I installed the OS I had initially about 70 updates to install, which proceeded without problem. I installed all the important and many, but not all, of the rest.

Let us know if this helped.

  • error ID 808 of the newspaper to print spooler [Internet Explorer 11 + MS Office 2003-2007 x 86 on x 64 ONLY Win7 sp1!]

Howdy all pros around, I would appreciate much all pro tips for the absolutely weird as printer spooler problem here.

Sorry to post this again when there is a lot of look available same cases posted and discussed, but now I will insist that there is a printer driver or a spooler win7 ms itself issue but one of the only Internet Explorer 11 [11.0.9600.17041] installed on Win7sp1x64 (!) fully updated when I have 3 win7sp1 machines around and this problem does not occur on pc only 32-bit win7 of niether!

the funny thing is that the issue does not prevent two win7sp1x64 computers to print normally! also, this never occurs during printing any docs or even the web pages of Google Chrome. but it still appears in win7 admin newspapers twice (!) when you print any web page of IE11! Although there is no problem if you print IE11 web page to PDF file...

This never happened with IE8 before its update through MS Update to IE11 a couple of days.

    error in brief:

The print spooler could not load a plug-in module C:\Windows\system32\spool\DRIVERS\x64\3\UNIDRVUI. DLL, error 0xc1 code. See the user context information for event data.

You must be assured that I looked carefully through many discussions about similar issues, and I would very much not common advice, when all the common ways like uninstall/install the printer etc do not work for you.

    Thank you very much

PS my printer model is hp deskjet 970cse - connected to a router via usb and installed on all machines in win7sp1 3 as a local printer using the standard tcp/ip port created. p.p.s. btw, here are the results of the filever.exe tool also kindly provided a long time ago by Alan Morris of MS http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-hardware/windows-7-hp-printer-problems/6833a54c-6974-4fe9-b74c-93ed879781b0?page=2

  • Can not get on PC Win7 SP1 10 app despite all the updates window.

Hi, I can't get 10 App window on my PC in Win7 SP1 despite all the updates. I ran the utility software troubleshooting GWA and he said that my PC is not up-to-date. I had followed all the instructions on the troubleshooting page. Under my computer properties, it shows that my Windows 7 is genuine and SP1.  I can not find the service pack SP1 showing installed in my control panel in the installed updates. I tried to reinstall SP1, but it said I already had SP1. Following the instruction on the Windows 7 SP1 download page, I tried to uninstall the SP1 that is currently on my PC using the command-line option, but he says that I don't have SP1 installed. (So confused) Someone has the same problem and knows how to solve?

After I installed Win7 ultimate SP1 fine, I've now that in the Device Manager for the "Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller" device: Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might be installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or maybe it's a malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)

Has found the solution on another site.

In Device Manager, click the Standard PCI enhanced USB host controller that shows an error, just was two more separate the two display errors on mine, choose to uninstall, both. Then click Action - Scan for hardware changes at the top, Windows reinstalls them both and has done so well here for both.

I am trying to install the SP1 of Win7 tonight, and it failed with 'Code 80004005'. I looked this error, and it seems fairly generic. I followed the convenience store of SP1 and still not get SP1 to install. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Hi NomadBob, another thing you can try is to start the computer in a clean condition and then try to install the update. You said that you have downloaded the entire file. Unplug all unnecessary equipment (external drives etc.) which could interfere with the process of update and update offline.

In this way, is it at least will eliminate interference 3 third-party product.

Be patient, I hope a cure can be found in the future near or at least a workaround solution.

    Hello

After you have reinstalled Win7 64 on my HP Pavilion laptop 1232sl g6, I get error 43 with the AMD Radeeon HD 7400 Appliance.

I have download and installed an update of the driver from the site of AMD, but this does not resolve the issue.

BTW, the reinstallation of Win7 the 'sleep' feature is no longer available (it is gray). Can it be related to error 43?

    Hi@inascargio,

Thank you for your response.  Yes, it is important to remove the existing drivers first and then restart the computer to make it work. Please try again and proceed exactly as I have laid out for you. As you already have the driver downloaded, you can omit the first step.

    • What is the antivirus installed on the computer program?

    Step 1:
I suggest you to disable any program of security on your computer and check if it solves the problem.
After reviewing the question you must reactivate the security on your computer program.

Note: Run the computer without antivirus software or firewall is a potential threat to the computer; Be sure to activate security software after completing the troubleshooting steps and after identifying the problem.

Your first post was unclear: I thought you were trying to install SP1 manually (after downloading the Setup program), not via Windows Update.

When you reinstalled Windows, the free trial of Norton would have also been reinstalled (but not valid, of course). Do you have (1) uninstall the Norton free trial once again and then (2) download/run the Norton Removal Tool before you (3) reinstalled NOD32? [Yes/No]

Remember: you can always open a free support incident. See my previous response.

  • Win7 SP1 "Check for updates" never full

I had to reinstall a pre - SP1 version of Win7 64 bit since the partition recovery on the laptop of a friend. After getting SP1 and updates associated, I ran "Check for updates" again and had a known, documented problem in the thread at the https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-update/windows-7-sp1-is-not-downloading-the-updates/b80fb3f8-39c0-4f99-9f6f-8e0464488377?tab=question&status=AllReplies#tabs. Specifically, "Check" never full.

Unfortunately, the solution prescribed in this thread does not work for me. I downloaded and ran the installation program 1st in the list, (KB3153199), but this stand-alone Setup program runs in its own process of "Search for updates on this computer" and, after a full hour and counting, has not yet completed.

Is there a work around known for the solution I try?  :)

    Hello

This has never happened to me, but I've just loaded Win7 Ultimate SP1 on a laptop, active. I can't get any Wu at all!

I do not have the additional languages, I tried the troubleshooter of WU (a few times now), I tried to stop services: msiserver, ad etc., BITS and wuauserv and then rename C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution to C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution.old and do the same thing to catroot2 in \windows\system32.

I installed IE11 and it appeared to install its own updates, but beyond that, I have been unable to execute WU...

Deflectors - someone can suggest good link on hidden files in C:\ which WU to work?

  • The system does not find that the specified path 0 error 80070003 - Win7 x

Puzzle: Running Win7 backup in Windows 10. At the end of the backup, I get the following message:

"Your last backup was not completely successful. Your unsaved files. "This leads to an error as follows:" the system cannot find the path specified error 0 x 80070003 - Win7. And this error message refers to a directory that had been reinstalled some time ago.

The moved directory is very well in his new position, and was well backed up in this very backup. I figured somewhere there is still an old reference to the former location of the directory, but I can't find such a reference. Can't find it in the file Explorer and can't find it in the backup utility that allows you to select the files and folders to back up. File Explorer and backup are proof that this directory is now in a different place that has indeed been saved.

If, as is the case, I can't find the above specifications in the expression "the path specified" (in other words, the reference wrong), how can I delete or change? How can I say Backup and Restore to ignore this directory ghost?

(BTW: I ran chkdsk /f /r yesterday, as part of something else, and according to the chkdsk command, everything is fine, no problems at all.)

Pending the entry I will delete this particular backup and run it again to see what happens. Thanks in advance for your suggestions as to what I could try it now.
