    Hi banderababe,

Photoshop CC 2015 is not compatible on Mac OS 10.7.5, however if you only use the version of Photoshop CC, then you can try to reset the preferences of Photoshop back to default values.

  • Cannot open JPG files in photoshop, error "could not complete your request because the file is not found.

Cannot open JPG files in photoshop
Has anyone ran into this problem? Photoshop worked perfectly in the past and the other day I noticed that I can't open all the jpg files in Photoshop (tried all the usual ways to circumvent the opening problem), I get the error message: "Could not complete your request because the file was not found." I know that JPGs are fine, as they open in other applications. My work-around for the moment, is to open in preview mode before and export as a PDF file, then open the PDF file in photoshop, however, this is not ideal.
Someone at - it in the case, or have a fix
    Any help much appreciated

Easy fix, just look for small red icons on some of your layers - then right click > replace content > change 'em out

I am trying to open JPEGs with Camera Raw - some work OK but many fail with the following error:

Anyone know why it's a failure or how to fix it? I searched the forums and the Internet (with Google) but cannot find anything.

Using Photoshop CS5 extended (12.0.4) on MacBook Pro with Snow Leopard (10.6.8). Jpeg files have been copied to a Nikon D90 on a Windows 7 machine and then on my MacBook. As far as I KNOW, I did nothing for them on the Windows machine.

The files may be corrupted or the files may be a camera that is newer than your version of ACR (make sure that you have installed the updates of the cab).

  • Could not complete your request because the file is not compatible with this version of Photoshop.

Hi - I tried for a few days in order to reopen all file ive created with photoshop cs5 but ketting the same message "Could not complete your request because the file is not compatible with this version of Photoshop."

(which I could rub through in the animation timeline) and a new layer video in which the individual frames, I drew some images with the brush.

I can play the video with two video layers in ps cs5, but when I record and try to open I get the message "Could not complete your request because the file is not compatible with this version of Photoshop."

I have no antivirus or norton... programs etc on my computer

and ive tried to do this on a mac and a pc and get the same result.

its crazy because im saving the file with the same im version tries to open it with.

  • Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 - unable to complete your request because the file is locked...

I support a user of Photoshop CC 2014, which attempts to open multiple .jpg on his local computer files, but gets an error message: could not complete your request because the file is locked, you don't have the necessary access permissions or another program is using the file. Use the 'Properties' command in Windows Explorer to open the file. However, not all the files are affected, and many display a thumbnail of the image and allow the user to open the file. I checked the properties of the file and everything seems normal, and the user is a local administrator on the computer. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi martyw,

If the problem is only with few files, whether they are corrupted or locked (only permission to read)

Please try to open the file in any other image editing program and save it as a Jpeg again.

Then try to open the file duplicate in Photoshop.

    Kind regards

  • Mac users find a solution to this problem of the PS CC 2014 update? (Could not complete your request because the file was not found.)

I am a user of Mac, v10.7.5, El Capitan.

Update my CC PS until 2014, and now I can not open JPEG files.

TIFF, PSD work, cannot 'find' JPEG files.

I guess that the discussions on the forum I found that it is a problem of Camera RAW, but I found no solution.

    Hello

Mac OS X Lion (v10.7.5) is a bit old. But you mention "El Capitan" (v10.11.3), then, what OS are you using?
