Error message: .vmx is not a valid virtual machine configuration file
Unfortunately, during the installation of a program to test my hard drive ran out of space and decided that it was time to stop.
When I tried to start the virtual machine to the message again ".vmx is not a configuration file valid virtual machine" has been posted.
After an investigation, for the virtual machine's .vmx file is completely empty.
Sorry if this is a duplicate question. I saw him pop - up a couple of times in the past (here, although I suspect there are a lot more there, also sorry that I'm not sure (too much or too little information?) hyperlink label). The general answer is that the log files must be set for a person to have an eye on them.
, , andI have attached the files just in case this is necessary, but I also tried to find a way to do it myself (so I didn't not wasting all the time).
There are several articles (here, here, here, here and I started even wondering about this one).
However, I am not familiar with the work of command line linux/unix (SUDO always puts me on the edge). I don't know why I would need something like PuTTY for a windows application?
Other solutions suggested using Add > New > custom to navigate to the file hard features and rebuild from there.
Unfortunately the option or the area to select the hard existing escaped me. Suggestions? Is there a large blind spot in my vision?
Thanks for the help.
Version 9.0.3 build-1410761 running on a 64-bit Windows 7 system.
The attached file "VMRobUK2.vmx.zip" contains a new "VMRobUK2.vmx" file created from the supplied vmware.log file.
With VMware Workstation (or tab of the target VM) closed, unzip (double-click on) the file attached "VMRobUK2.vmx.zip" and replace the file "VMRobUK2.vmx" original with that here.
BTW... I hope you have a good reason to run with so many Snapshots (currently 17) and observe appropriate backups!

Okay, I re-installed Firefox but it still cannot connect to the internet. The original question disabled my Norton antivirus, and I am currently using Windows defender. I have Mozilla removed from the allow list as suggested in the troubleshooting and then re - he added, but which did not help, any suggestions? I am running a full scan now, it has been 2.5 hours now and still running. I can't understand what prevents FF to access the internet, and so far none of the suggestions have worked. I am running windows 8. I try to install troubleshooting information, but it ask again me what to open the xpi file and I have no idea. Hell, it's so boring. OK, got the added manually troubleshooting info. Hope that helps someone help me.
Thanks, that no longer works. I had finally realized with the help of an agent co. My norton antivirus was blocking the upgrade, even if the upgrade it was invalid. Weird, but once we have updated and downloaded the new norton stuff has worked. Thank you all for the suggestions.

network/security problem
I have a problem connecting to the internet. A windows security message appears requesting a user name and password. I spoke with my internet provider and they say it's problems with windows. Administering the computer was an old laptop that isn't in use anymore so I can't change the admin settings. Is that what you can offer and do you need more information about me?
How you connect to the internet, dsl / comcast / wireless.
The installation disk of your ISP to the main computer, then put it to the top with a modem what ever, after that you can reload the disc of routers and probably have to reset the default password,
Once you get the configuration of your Internet service provider again then your router again you can re - enter the wireless or wired computers to the new network,

Old computer reinstalled XP cannot connect to the internet. Could not find the iexplore
I have an old computer. I reinstalled Windows XP on it about 30 days ago. I can't connect to the internet. I bought 2nd hand computer and I bought my own version of XP directly from Microsoft. I can't activate. I can not even find iexplore. Any suggestions? I installed a driver for the ethernet card and still nothing.
I've never dealt with XP MCE, but from what I've seen, you can get ambiguous messages during the installation process. MCE was never intended for installation by end users; It came normally pre-installed on computers that have the necessary equipment to support additional features 'media '.
It seems to me that if you have to start over. First of all, you should get a prompt for "Windows XP Professional CD2" - who wants to have the second of the two CDs. Then you should get a prompt for "XP Professional Service Pack 2 CD." In response to this prompt, insert the CD first back in.
Assuming that work better than before, right-click on desktop and select Properties. If the display shows service pack 2 - which I believe it will be - you only need to install sp3.

I cannot connect to the internet and can not find networks as well.
Original title: a disc XP Wibdows will repair a missing msnuser file? I can't find all the networks to connect to the internet.
After a router problem, I had to change the name of my network. All my other PC is connected. My Dell XP Pro has for some reason not configured to search for local networks. The only error message I got was 'msnuser file is no longer available.
I have a brand new Windows XP in case of a crash Pro CD, but I don't want to try to find out that I lost what is already stored.
This CD will correct connectivity issues? I could back up what I need if she wants. BTW: Dell has been no help.
Thank you.

I have a Compaq Presario CQ61-410US (WA974UA) which is equipped with an Atheros AR9285 B/G/N wireless network adapter. The laptop Internet access was fast and stable when using a Wi - Fi N. Its pilot AR9285 was the initial version of the 8.0.0.172 factory. But because there were so many subsequent driver updates, I've updated the display driver version from the support page 8.9.9.316 (sp48755.exe). However, after updating the driver, I immediately lost Internet access. The laptop is running Windows 7 Home Premium with Service Pack 1 and 64-bit.
The driver seems to be installed OK, but it does not connect to the Internet. Here is the status of the driver: 1) in Device Manager it appears OK and is presented as working properly. (2) in the results of IPCONFIG/all, it there is no entry for the wireless adapter and without IP addresses are affected. Here are the results of the IPCONFIG/all command:

I have read several messages from the HP Forum and tried a lot of things, including the installation of various updates driver later thanks to the version 10.0.0.222, but I still can't the driver to connect to the Internet. I also changed my router "n" has only B/G as the AR9285 pilot has a history of problems with Wireless N. Even back to the original driver version 8.0.0.172 provides an Internet connection.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Hello:
I'm glad that you were able to restore your internet connection.
I'd go with the latest driver HP vice one from another source.
The only time wherever I go outside HP for wireless network drivers is if you have an Intel wireless card.
My recommendation is to use the free MS Security Essentials antivirus/antispyware, which never interfere with how "things important works" on your PC, such as network connections.
http://www.Microsoft.com/en-US/Download/details.aspx?ID=5201
Your router with a hardware firewall and a software firewall Windows. I don't see the importance of adding other firewalls.
Unless you have a lot of albums secret info on your PC that pirates would like to get my hands on, these fully functional security roadblocks are adequate for most of us.
