Error message Microsoft Word "Word could not create the work file. Check the amount of disk space on your startup disk. »
I have a MacBook Pro, retina 13inch OS X el Capitan Version 10.11.1 with 16 GB of memory. It's brand new and I have recently installed Microsoft Word/Powerpoint etc. a disc that I bought a few years to my previous MacBook. It seems to work very well, but whenever I want to open a word document a message comes up saying "Word could not create the work file. Check the amount of disk space on your startup disk '. However, once I click 'OK' this message disappears and my word file opens without a problem. I have 16 GB of memory on this laptop and it's new I have not reached anywhere near the maximum amount of storage so I'm puzzled as to what this message means. How can I avoid that this message popping up everytime I open Microsoft Word? Any help would be appreciated!
This has nothing to do with memory - it's the SSD. Word tries to create a temporary file to use as a backup if the program crashes while you are working. First, run the Microsoft Update program to see if there are updates you have missed. Second, Microsoft currently supports only versions 2011 and 2016, so if yours is older, you should consider the upgrade. Thirdly, I suspect that the temporary file is not get created so that you have fewer cancellations (maybe any) and that if the program crashes you have to restore.
As suggested, I tried to run scannow to repair Windows Vista. I did, but then the scan only ran up to 76%, I received the message: Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation. "How can I complete the scan and fix my Windows Vista computerHi rdoran,You perform the steps from the administrator account?
To determine which files can be repaired by the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:Step 1:NOTE: When SFC is running, it records its actions in the C:\WINDOWS\LOGS\CBS\CBS. NEWSPAPER. You can find specific entries of SFC searching [SR] tags in the newspaper.
For how, see the SFC analysis details in the CBS. JOURNAL:* Open an elevated command prompt.
* In the elevated command prompt, type findstr/c: "[SR]" %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log > %userprofile%\Desktop\sfcdetails.txt and press ENTER.* Close the elevated command prompt.
* Click the sfcdetails.txt file just set your desktop to see the SFC scan details (those with the tags [SR]) to the CBS. NEWSPAPER.* You can safely delete the sfcdetails.txt file later if you wish.Reply back with the details in the log file.
If it does not help to complete the scan, you can complete the steps below and check out them.
You're able to boot in safe mode ?Step 2:For more information on how to log in to safe mode, see the following Microsoft article:If you're able to boot in safe mode, you can perform a scan of the file system (CFS) auditor.Reference:
How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the system files missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7
In addition, you can connect to the command prompt and check the drive for errors, and check if that makes things more simple. At the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:Chkdsk /rNote: If bad sectors are detected when running check disk utility and attempt recovery of bad sectors is verified during the verification of the drive for errors, data in the bad sector can be lost as they tried to recover bad sectors.Aziz Nadeem - Microsoft Support

Recently, things are held in my computer after trying themes. I don't know what I fiddled with, but I do know something ExplorerFrame.dll in system32 and sysWOW64. I've tinkered with it to try to change my navigation settings. (The arrows in windows Explorer) I don't know if that's the problem, but my main problem is when I try to save anything, or "save under" or try to save anything even in microsoft word or adobe reader, none of the folders in my navigation pane is there! It's just empty! I tried to solve this problem with sfc/scannow, but the message that I put in the title appears when it reaches 10%! I've tried everything literally! I tried running sfc/scannow offline, and it comes up with a message 'Protection of resources Windows could not start the repair service.' I also tried to check in my services to see if the Windows Module is manual in the startup type, and it is! The last thing I could think that I tried was the start in safe mode with command prompt, and it still does not. If anyone can help me, please! I've tried everything! * I forgot, I have try running CMD administrive rights, still won't work *.
Thank you for the help, but I figured it out by myself. I replaced the old version ExplorerFrame.dll in system32 and sysWOW64 folders to a new! I managed to do it by copying the correct files to another computer and replacing them with the 'old' I have fiddled. Thanks for your help!
I am trying to solve a problem with a HP Pavillion Vista laptop where I get a black screen after screen of the HP logo with a message that says "the file is maybe damaged. The file header checksum does not match the checksum calculated. »
I wrote a post on running a check offline that someone might find it useful,
After I did my Vista SP2 update, the only thing I could do was to reformat the HD. After all, including Office 2007 reloading, Outlook and work has worked well. Again, I went through the updates, Vista and Office SP 2 and now in Outlook and Word I get this error message Outlook (Word) could not create the work file. Check the temp environment
variable. I am alos having other problems in Word. Help, I can't find all the answers!
Follow the steps below at our own risk. Set a restore point before doing this. Make a mistake in the registry can have bad results
In your registry HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Explorer\User Shell Folders\Cache Database Cache data value must be %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files
Close all programs. Then in the registry editor, once you get in the folder above, right click on "Cache", make a left-click on "Change", paste in "%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files" (without the quotes), on the left, click 'Ok' close the editor of the register. Restart the PC.
This should solve your problem.
a. start-> Run-> enter "regedit" and press "Enter" to run the program to change registry variables.
b. navigate to the folder-> "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Explorer\User Shell Folders\Cache"
c. check the values of variables [for everything in the "User Shell Folders" folder] - all the variable should have values from '% USERPROFILE%\ '. ». Any variable that is not of this starting point is probably damaged. In my case, all variables corrupt has been a correspondent of "Backup_VariableName". Example: my variable "cache" was damaged when there is a variable called 'backup_cache' with the correct values
d. change the value of variables corrupt to correct the values. Example of change variable value "cache" in "%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files" and so on.
e. close all of Ms Office programs, and turn. The problem should be solved now.
I added the text in square brackets above.

I just reinstalled Acrobat X on a new computer (upgrade to Acrobat 8). Now, when I open a file in Acrobat X, I get a message error that says "could not create the default security policy." How can I fix? Pourrait
There is a bug in Adobe software. Acrobat X pro and standard both install properly if any other Adobe product was already installed, but both disrupts the installation (do not create the AppData\Security subdirectories) if another product from Adobe that has not created AppData\Security directories has been installed first. Adobe has only been tested installation on machines that never had other Adobe products installed. They do not consider that other Adobe products can already installed.
(Alternative 1 (safer) - (a) uninstall all Adobe control panel products, b) then delete (or rename) the directories \AppData\Local\Adobe and \AppData\LocalLow\Adobe \AppData\Roaming\Adobe - Adobe never cleans these directories after uninstall. (c) make an own Acrobat x pro or standard installation before you reinstall any other Adobe product.
Solution 2 - copy \AppData\Local\Adobe\Acrobat\10.0\Security and \AppData\LocalLow\Adobe\Acrobat\10.0\Security from another machine that works.

Cannot create the folder means that you don't have WRITE permission for this folder. Then... change your permissions.

Issue of Windows install
I just bought a HP Photosmart printer and I am trying to install the software on my computer. (OS is Windows Vista.) When I try to install my software, I get an error message that "Windows Installer could not be accessed". I ran "msconfig" and found that the Modual from Windows Installer status is stopped. How should I proceed?
Thank you, Jeanne Vecere
You could try to go to the MICROSOFT website, go to KNOWLAGE database and in the search bar, try the search for WINDOWS INSTALLER. Look for any version that is newer than the one you have. If this fails, try searching on GOOGLE. You can also try to do an update to WINDOWS VISTA.

This message appears usually when the JVM cannot allocate sufficient memory. It may be the consequence of the stage Builder set - Xmx1024m command line: this is currently followed by default TLD-4515 and will be fixed in the next few weeks.
For the time being you can give a try on a system with more memory. Moreover, what is your current hardware configuration?
I just installed the new 2016 LabVIEW with the two patches and wanted to check the new feature.
When you create a channel writer, there was a pop up select the Channel end point, but whatever the option chosen, there is a window saying "LabVIEW could not create the required channel endpoint", error ccode: 8 file authorization error
NOR-488: Error detected DMA hardware.
I have error permition from file to file, file that is?
By chance, do you have re-defined the default data directory in LabVIEW? LabVIEW uses to host files for the warp threads, and if you moved from its default position in your profile (C:\Users\
\Documents\LabVIEW data), especially if you moved it to the root of C:, it could become unalterable. This must remain in your profile!
