Error message: the selected task "{0}" no longer exists. to view the current task, click Refresh
When I go to start Task Scheduler, I get this message "the selected task"{0}"no longer exists. to see the current tasks, click Refresh"so I go ahead and click on refresh and get the same error message. How can I solve this problem? Any help and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
I spent a few minutes and tracked down the problem and a solution. This is a result of work files that exist in the tasks folders that do not have access to (probably) in the registry. Here's how I worked through the issue - will take time, but it has cleared up the problem completely for me:
- Open the Task Scheduler, and then click OK when you are prompted with the error. It may seem that you receive again and again the same error, but it is really because of the number of tasks that are broken. Make a note of the number of times that you are prompted by the error of the selected task '{0} '. This is the number of work files that are out of sync with the registry.
- Start with the first folder under Windows tasks (Task Scheduler (Local) \Task Scheduler Library\Microsoft\Windows), and then select each file in turn until you receive the error of the selected task '{0} '. This folder contains files that are not synchronized with the Task Scheduler.
- Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the folder of tasks (% SystemFolder%\Tasks\Microsoft\Windows) and look for the folder that corresponds to the folder in which you received the error.
- For some tasks, you will be able to determine which files need to be removed by comparing the list in the Task Scheduler with the list of files in the Explorer. Some tasks will be only one file in the Explorer, or, in one case, I had 2 and the first was absent. Once Task Scheduler encounters this error is no longer display the tasks so he does the work to get the two in sync a little harder. Once you have determined which files exist in the folder of files but do not exist in the folder of the Task Scheduler, remove these files.
- IMPORTANT - close and re-open the Task Scheduler. Once the error, Task Scheduler no longer displays the missions you have to close and restart in order to continue your effort of synchronization.
- Continue to select folders in the Task Scheduler under Windows taskbar until you encounter the error once again and repeat the process of determining which file exists on the file system, but not in the Task Scheduler.
I had 6 files that were at odds with what was shown in the Task Scheduler. Once I deleted all the incriminated files, task scheduler has pulled up without problem.
Good luck.

I deleted an outlook e-mail account express and put a new e-mail account, but now I get an error message on the account of fist and I don't know how to get rid of it please help me!
Go to shipping and the view box. Current view | Show all messages and make sure that there is no message there. Delete all if there is. Then go to tools | Accounts and are looking for the old account and highlight and select Remove. Then see if that solves it. If not, try to go to file | Identities and setup a new identity. This will give you a new message store and you can add to your new account there and when it works, use file | Import | Messages to bring them from the old identity.

6. make sure the service of that status is started.

Hello
I've successfully installed the NCLEX - RN 4000 on Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium edition. However, I get the error message "the"Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0 provider is not registered on the local computer"whenever I try to open the program.» The package says that the software is compatible with versions of Microsoft Windows Vista and XP. I tried to open the program using program compatibility issues resolution which did not work. I also do a right-click on the icon and choose Properties/compatibility and then selected the most recent Microsoft Windows OS program is compatible with and apply the settings. To my dismay, it was also a no go. I did some research and reading that Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit is not compatible with the programs .msi. So, I checked and found out that the file ends by .msi.
With all that said, these are the questions that I find myself with:
What can I do to fix this so that I can use my 4000 NCLEX-RN program?
Why Microsoft Windows 7 is not backward compatible?
Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you very much!
UPDATED: Wednesday, April 21, 2010
If someone else has the same problem when you try to run the NCLEX-RN 4000 program on the Windows 7 operating system, you will need to contact Wolters Kluwer Health (the manufacturer of the NCLEX-RN 4000 Review program). The customer service number is 1-800-638-3030. Once you reach a customer service representative explain why you call and they will send you by e-mail an update that will allow the NCLEX-RN 4000 to run on the Windows 7 operating system. Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any questions! And thanks to all who have responded to this topic! I enjoyed all your comments!

Hi FredMcD,
You are the hero of the day. Well, everything seems to work again with the exception of my best websites (which should open when I click on new-tab). But it's only a minor problem and I can easily restore that manually.
Thanks for your help,

I get the following error message 'The URL is not valid and cannot be loaded' when I try to go to firefox home. I uninstalled modules, uninstalled Firefox and then install a new version. Still have the problem.
Thanks for the helpThis problem may be caused by a corrupt installation of Visual C++ or incomplete (several versions can be installed-by-side; SxS) it lacks certain runtime components (redistributable Packages), which depends on Firefox (problem with an embedded manifest file that specifies a specific runtime version).
You need to install the missing components (for example, Redistrbutable end 2005 ++).
