  Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I understand once that your HP Photosmart 6520 starts in mode "sleep" you cannot send a print job, it does not automatically standby upward.

  Please take a look here:

  The printer into standby mode after five minutes of inactivity to help reduce energy consumption. The sleep time can be changed from the control panel. The printer will wake up mode 'sleep' to print when a print job is sent to it.

  However, the auto power off feature must be disabled. Auto Power-Off turns off the printer completely, you must use the power button to turn the printer back on. You can change the setting Auto Power-Off from the control panel. configuration -Source

  Menu Configuration > other Menus > Eco > auto shut-off > off

  Generally, these 0 x codes indicate an internal error state in the printer.  Generally, these are related to the ink system, but not always.  Your printer says ink system failure in the error message?
