  • 404.2 error trying to use index.cfm as default page in the directory

    Hello

    Here's my server

    -Windows 2008 Server R2 Ent

    -IIS 7.5

    -10 ColdFusion

    CF10 installation ran smoothly, that the wsconfig seems to have created all the necessary stuffs:

    ISAPI filter: tomcat C:\ColdFusion10\config\wsconfig\1\isapi_redirect.dll

    Authorized ISAPI restriction: tomcat_all C:\ColdFusion10\config\wsconfig\1\isapi_redirect.dll

    index.cfm added in the Document by default, placed first in the upwards in the list

    CFIDE, virtual directories jakarta created, etc...

    Everything works ok EXCEPT that IIS is unable to Server index.cfm as default directory page:

    -This results in an error: http://www.example.com/ (to simplify, index.cfm is the only page in the root directory)

    -an error and serve the index.cfm page correctly: http://www.example.com/index.cfm

    Error 404.2 spoke (in french)

    'The page you requested is not found because of the list of ISAPI and CGI Web Server restrictions settings."'

    I don't see anything special in the settings of the ISAPI/CGI restrictions, they are still the same as on the dev server, that is not the problem...

    I tried to delete the connectors using wsconfig and then re-launch to reinstall connectors, without success.

    Any help is appreciated as I am out of ideas...

    Thank you.

    Yes, no surprise.  Well, all I found for this error discussed the option of ISAPI and CGI restrictions in IIS.  The error itself indicates the same - "HTTP error 404.2 - not found the page you request cannot be served because of the settings of the ISAPI and CGI restrictions list on the Web server.

    Are you sure that the settings that are the same on both servers AND that they are the same on both servers activated?

    I realize that it works when you specify index.cfm but that error tells you that the ISAPI and CGI parameters are not correct.  Otherwise, it would be just a normal 404.  Right?

    Hello

    1. is this a problem with all the readers of the floppy disk that you use, or is it limited to a particular floppy drive?
    2. when the floppy drive was working properly the last time?

    Check if the problem exists in Safe Mode, if the drive works as expected in mode safe, and then we can solve the problem in the clean boot state. It is a possibility that another application is at the origin of the conflict.

    Step has. See the article below for the procedure safe mode in Windows XP

  • Captivate 5: errors on unloading (IE 7/8 only) JavaScript. How find and remove all the JS call?

    One of my clients is using Captivate 5 to produce interactive SWF files is transferred to an LMS. Sovereign wealth funds include quiz questions, but these are not followed. It is not a compatible SCORM LMS, and will not accept any downloads except for the SWF file, which is displayed to the student within an iframe on a page of course HTML, where src = "filename.swf". When you find this page of course in an old browser like IE6 or modern as Firefox 3.6 browser, we can click on a link in another div on this page unload this page run and load the home page for this course. ("This is a simple < a href ="...) "(> balise avec aucune écriture de script supplémentaires.)"

    But when we discover the current page with the SWF in the iframe in IE7 or IE8, by clicking this link on home page shows an 'access denied' JS error: "Line: 1; Char: 1; Error: Access is denied. Code: 0; "URL: [filename.swf]".

    It seems that the SWF file attempts to call some JS which is not available on the server, because we cannot download any HTML or JS pages, but just the SWF file. I was able to get IE7 the page by putting the site in the Zone of confidence with the weakest of the security, but it does not work in IE8. In any case, we cannot ask our students to be able to change their security settings, as many of them are in organizations where they don't have the admin rights.

    Issues related to the:

    (1) where could the problem or calls be coming with the release of Captivate 5? I have:

    -off followed SCORM

    -made sure none of the quiz pages try to report the LMS

    -removed the preloader

    -removed the ToC, the borders and playback skin bar

    -turn off autoplay

    Is there anything else I can adjust in Captivate?

    I tested more far by building a simple route a form with a text box and nothing else, and all of the items listed above, turned of. When I built a simple HTML page with the same code iframe to contain this SWF and tested locally, no release of Captivate 5 or 4 gives the same error in IE7/8 when we try to unload the courses. However, Captivate 3 output SWF works perfectly in the iframe and discharge without any error.

    (2) have one of you has successfully placed a SWF from Captivate 5 file in an iframe and were able to discharge with success in IE7/IE8 by clicking on a link to load another page? If so, what are the settings did you use?

    Finally, I don't think that domain issues are the reason for these problems. I got error unloading when I test IE7/8 locally on the disk hard or my web server where the SWF, page HTML and HTML Homepage are all in the same domain and directory.

    Thanks for the ideas, you can provide!

    When you refresh or close IE8, the debugger reports the error "Access denied" and that it points to the JS code fragments:

    __flash__removeCallback (document.getElementById(""), "rightClick");
    __flash__removeCallback (document.getElementById(""), "mycpSetValue2");
    __flash__removeCallback (document.getElementById(""), "cpGetValue");
    __flash__removeCallback (document.getElementById(""), "mycpSetValue");
    __flash__removeCallback (document.getElementById(""), "cpEISetValue");
    __flash__removeCallback (document.getElementById(""), "cpEIGetValue");
    __flash__removeCallback (document.getElementById(""), "cpEIXMLGetValue");

    If you look at the location CaptivateMaintimeline.as:

    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 5\AS3

    You will notice that these are the same external Interface cooked in Captivate recalls.  Commenting on these lines of code simply did not help.

    General browser security rule:  You cannot call the JS functions on an iframe that has been loaded from another domain. (Programmatically, there are ways around this)

    Theory:

    My best guess is that sovereign wealth funds code AS3 calls these nonexistent JS using ExternalInterface.call("saveglobalscore",score) AS3 functions.  Note that the getElementById("") is empty - red flag # 1.  In addition, when you load a SWF directly into an iframe in IE7/8 with no html container, your "document" object does not exist - red flag #2. It also means that the "document.domain" property does not exist or the other.  That's why (best guestimate), IE cannot determine the domain the .swf file has been loaded and safety measures are applied automatically.  IE assumes that the iframe to another domain and denies access.  FF does not work.  When you add the field to EI of the "Zone of confidence" does not apply security to the swf file works.  Again, this is a guess, but the theory fits.

    Possible solutions:

    The code AS3 swf file call nonexistent functions JavaScript.  It's cooked in Captivate itself.  I don't think he has that you can do about it.  IE7/8 guess the iframe is from another domain, because it cannot solve the document.domain of the iframe.

    1. you can set a "Zone of confidence" IE, but as you said, this is not practical.

    2. convince your LMS provider to load the .htm file in the iframe instead of the .swf.  This will create the "document" JS object and the field should be resoved correctly.

    3. use another tool of e-learning to create sovereign wealth funds to avoid AS3 ExternalInterface.calls of Captivate (No.! I LOVE CP)

    4. use JavaScript to remove their iframe and replace it with your own by using the file .htm as the CBC for the iframe.  That's assuming you have control over the file .htm container.  Do you have a way to add scripts in the container .htm or is - it only controlled by the provider of your LMS?

  • Can I use speech on an iPad to read the text aloud?

    I use the reading list in Safari on my iPad to read my news. I use a treadmill for exercise. I would use speech on an iPad to read my News aloud while using my treadmill. Is this possible?

    Try the settings > general > accessibility > speech > talking about screen. However, I believe that you would allow this, when you go to each new screen.

    I think that there are applications that offer this feature, but I have never used one and don't know what to recommend.

    John,
    Your XP system is lack of 4 registry settings for windows 4 services:
    Bits
    Wuauserv
    Wscsvc
    SharedAccess

    Downlooad and SAVE the 4 after your desktop computer registry files {or a single folder on your system}
    http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/win-services/XP/bits.reg
    http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/win-services/XP/SharedAccess.reg
    http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/win-services/XP/wscsvc.reg
    http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/win-services/XP/wuauserv.reg

    For each of the 4, one at a time, to right click on the reg file and select Merge.

    When everything is done, Logoff and restart Windows.

    Then, run a manual check for updates in Windows Update, etc, etc...
    When you get to Windows Update, a custom scan updates. Take (accept) those marked critical or Important.

    If it has updates Silverlight or Net Framework, select not them and leave it for one pass later.
    Those that are marked as "optional" decline.

    Have infinite patience so that it scans and it's work.

    When you are prompted to restart Windows, please do. Allow it to restart.

    You can do this via a registry change, but it is more appropriate for a typical user to simply use the system restore:

    System restore

    Ever wished that you can go back in time following a bad fall? With Windows, you can.

    Installation sometimes a driver or a program can make Windows run slowly or erratically. System Restore can return programs and system files from your PC to a time where everything worked, potentially prevent hours of troubleshooting of headaches. This will not affect your documents, images or other data.

    In Windows 7, you can create system restore points more and see exactly what files will be deleted or added when your PC is restored. For more information, see create a restore point.

    For more protection, use the restore system backup and restore, which is designed to help save email, photos, documents and other personal files.

    To use the system restore

    Before you start the system restore, save open files and close all programs. System Restore will restart your PC.

    1. Open system restore by clicking the start . In the search box, type restore the system and then, in the list of results, click on system restore.  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    2. Follow the steps in the wizard to select a restore point and restore your computer.

      For more information, see System Restore: frequently asked questions.

    In Windows 7 system restore can prevent headaches hours after an accident.

    Hello

    This error may occur for one of the following reasons:
    The file is currently in use. Close the file and then try again.

    You are not allowed to access the location where the file is stored.

    Follow these steps to grant all permissions in the folder where the files are stored:
    1. right click on the folder on the external drive and click Properties.
    2. in the Properties window, click on Security tab.
    3. now, click Edit , and then click Add.
    4. now, type everyone in the box and click OK.
    5. check the full control box.
    6. click on apply and then click OK.

    You can also try the mentioned below as follows:

    1. click on start.
    2. go in Control Panel.
    3. Select "SOUND".

    Above is autoruns to loadup questions

    If you still can't find the entry in the registry, download Autoruns.  Let it finish the scanning, then click the Services tab.  Find the name of the service 'wrong' in the left column ("Autorun entry").  Right click and select ' go to '.  You will go straight to the appropriate entry in the registry for editing.

    I would like to examine what you load at startup. You should see if you have any programs from loading during the startup process, which can be changed on request.
    With Autoruns, you can deselect an item which disables startup, or you can click with the right button on an item, then remove it. If you clear the check box that you can check back for re - activate the element. It is an approach much safer than editing the registry and better than using msconfig.
    Another useful feature of the program is that you can click with the right button on an item and select search online to get information about the selected item.

    When you use Autoruns, you will need to click on the "Connection" tab to see what runs at startup.
