    Hi Comintern,

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

    ·         You receive an error message or error code?

Follow the suggestions below for a possible solution:

    Method 1:

Step 1: Start in safe mode and check if the problem persists.

Start your computer in safe mode

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Important: While running scan on the hard drive if bad sectors are found on the hard drive when scanning try to repair this area if all available on which data may be lost.

  • VUM4.1: Error scan & patches does not download

Everything worked fine before the update 1, but now I'm having two problems. I tried to reinstall VUM4.1 from scratch for a new database, but continue to encounter errors.

    (1) host of scan error

When you scan a host (or group), vSphere client errors: "VMware vCenter Update Manager was an unknown failure. Check the tab tasks and events and logs for more details. "VUM newspaper, I see the following error message:

"[2009-12-16 11:25:21:709 ' SingleHostScanTask.SingleHostScanTask' ERROR 3732] task failed: databases (vdb) error" ODBC error: (42000) - [SQL Native Client] [SQL Server] cannot find the column "dbo" or the user-defined function or aggregate "dbo.vci_CheckBaselineConflict", or the name is ambiguous. "is returned when you run the SQL statement"CALL vci_compBaselineComplianceLeaf(?,?,?,?) " of {}.

After the scan the host does correctly shows the level of compliance of patch (patches is aware or not), but the restore fails with the same error.

    (2) not download not patches

Metadata download fine and connection tests check all out them (not), but not download not the VIMs - directories remain empty (it is a new installation). No error, however, VC does indicate a success. VUM newspaper shows metadata being downloaded counties, but 0 for host updates or patches BONES found. Status codes are 200 or 304.

    Any ideas? Thank you

    Answer:

This is what has worked for us. We do not use windows authentication. We use sql server authentication. But she may still apply.

Look for the stored procedure. Open it and change it.

Inside of this procedure, find the name of the function, (ours is 220 online).

It is more likely is prefixed by "dbo.". If your database owner is another thing that the BOD (ours is "VMWareUser"), then you need to change the prefix of 'dbo."what is your name of owner. Then run the procedure to edit/change.

Go raise your base line and it should work.

It worked for us. Your mileage may vary.

fix my computer when windows start dump then launch startup, but does not solve the problem. Can you help me solve the problem

    Hi Wwiese,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I understand from the description of the problem, the computer freezes in the commissioning on the Windows 7 computer.

I would appreciate if you can help me with the following information.

1 were there any hardware or software changes made on the computer before this problem?

    2. are you able to boot into office?

    3. you receive an error message/code?

I suggest you try these methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1

Disconnect all external devices (printers, scanner, USB (universal serial bus) drives, etc...) Except the keyboard and mouse and then start.

If this solves the problem, then add back devices at a time until you discover the piece of hardware causing the issue. Then download drivers software updated for this particular device.

    Method 2

Try to start in last good known Configuration and see if you can start very well.

Using the last good known Configuration

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/is-is/Windows7/using-last-known-good-configuration

    Method 3

Start the computer in safe mode and check if the problem persists, if the question does not persist then perform the clean boot and check if the problem resolves.

    Step 1

Safe mode starts Windows with a limited set of files and drivers. Startup programs do not work in safe mode, and only the basic drivers needed to start Windows are installed. Please click the below mentioned link.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

    Step 2

Put the computer in a clean boot state to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow step 3 from the link to start the computer to a Normal startupmode.

    Method 4

If the problem persists, I suggest you perform a startup repair and check if it makes a difference.

  • KB2267602 service appears several times - installation it does not solve the problem

A request to install this update appears approximately one day after I've updated windows, if yes or no I installed explicitly this point.  It is always associated with an update 'optional' for my Canon MX870 Printer series.  I tried to install the KB update by himself and the two together.  They install very well, with the notification endangered, but then he reappeared a day or two later.

    To be explicit:

    • Make a general upgrade of windows made the notification disappear a day
    • The KB2267602 notification about a day after that no matter what windows update
    • Installation it is the notification go away about a day.
    • This happened for months

I found a reference that claims to solve the problem, but couldn't get it to work because I could not disable Defender, even when I run service.msc as administrator.  I couldn't find anything in this forum that seems to deal specifically with this issue.

You can enable Windows Defender / in Control Panel / Windows Defender / Settings / admin... and uncheck the box.

  • error spooler 2 does not... cannot print

Cannot print the documents from the computer, but I can scan

my system is windows xp and my printer is hp officejest all in one j4680

It was workimg very well 2 days ago, but it seems that the file is nowhere in my files how to get back to files so I can restart the spool so I can print

You try to start the Print Spooler Service, you see a message like this:
Cannot start service on Local computer print spooler.
Error 2: The system cannot find the specified file.
If you look at the Print Spooler Service in the Services applet, it shows all of the automatic Print Spooler Service, but it is not running and will not start.
If you look in the Event Viewer system log, you will see a message similar to the following:
    Event type: error
    Event source: Service Control Manager
    Event category: no
    Event ID: 7000
    Description:
The print spooler service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the specified file.
An error of 2 means that the specified file is not found.
In the case of the Print Spooler Service, the "specified" file is probably missing is:
    c:\windows\system32\spoolsv.exe
    Running sfc/scannow won't help you.
You can "try" sfc/scannow running, but it will replace all the system files that are missing or damaged, since it's not sfc/scannow is supposed to do.
Somehow, you must manually replace the missing or suspicious file.
There should be a copy backup of the file missing in other places on your hard drive.  When you find a copy of the missing, just file, copy it and paste it into the c:\windows\system32 folder where it belongs.
When you copy the file, answer Yes if asked to replace the existing file.
The places most likely to seek the missing system files backup copies are:
    c:\Windows\System32\dllcache
    c:\windows\ServicePackFiles\i386
If you can't find the file, search your hard drive and see if you can find a copy.  You can also copy the missing file from a working system using a floppy disk or a USB device, send the file to yourself etc.
Manually remove the spoolsv.exe file would require some extra effort because it is one of 3498 files that Windows XP runs automatically.  Windows file protection should replace automatically all the monitored files quickly and silently if she never goes away.
Replacing the file can provide immediate relief for the symptom of the problem but does not in fact the real problem... is how the file never get lack in the first place?  It is important to address the real problem and not just treat the symptoms of the problem.
Opportunities are some of the malware has afflicted your system or your programs antivirus or anti-malware thought that the file is infected (maybe is was really) and quarantined or deleted the file.

Do, or do not. There is no test.
