Error of graphics in the Menu bar on G5 with 10.5.8

Hi friends Mac: on a PPC G5 dual 2 GHz (8 GB of RAM, ATI RADEON 9600 Pro Card) following problem: after you have reinstalled the 10.5.6 DVD 10.5.6 system 2Z691-6327-A 10 times, then run the Combo update to 10.5.8 the same error: open the menus of preferences system, Time Machine and preview, but I just see a white rectangular area no graphics. Have found no error with disk utility, the error just before and after the combo update, the PRAM resetting has not helped, no other problems with the machine. Have deleted files pref, checked with preferential treatment - no problem. All necessessary fonts are here. I don't have disk Warrior. The facility is clean, zero of installed additional programs. Does anyone know what I can do? If I could access the system from the terminal prefs I could live with it. Thank you very much!

You have repaired permissions twice in a row and rebooted yet?

  • Slide show under the menu bar, help please

    Hi again,

    I need help from members of the community awesome Adobe once again, good news, is that I actually have an example to show this time to make it easier to answer. I recently started a new page for the company I work with, and there is a change in the menu bar and a slide show I've wanted to do for a long time, maybe even the Twitter ticker bar if somebody wants to cover in this discussion.

    First of all, the link: http://restorationacpc.com/

    The menu bar, as you can see, the Red thing moving across the top of the screen with the tabs menu on it as home, about us, ect. ect. For some reason, that he travels out of the page, as I planned to do, he stops just short and you can see the background of the page to the left and to the right of the bar, which is the smallest issue that I encounter here.

    The biggest problem with the menu bar I want difficulty is that logo Showcase D & B push the slide downwards, and while that seems not necessarily bad, I would like to again for the slide show to sit under the logo with the logo shining on the top of the slide show.

    Finally, something small and optional to hit for anyone who wants to solve, y at - there a way for me to have the Ticker Twitter bar to the top at the top of the site to sit ON top of the logo d & b and against the Red menu bar? I would like for the Twitter's Ticker bar to look like it is part of the bar menu if possible.

    As always, any help is greatly appreciated!

    For the slide show to push up:

    . scmenu in your CSS (line 102) file:

    Add:

    position: relative;

    I see that you already have z-index. But z-index will not work without reference to a position.

    . displaywrap (line 53 of your CSS):

    Add:

    position: relative;

    top:-56px;

    z-index: 1;

    Which should push the slide show for you under the logo.

    Your page margins are not reset to 0 - that is why you see to the left and to the right area.

    Line 58 of style.css, body - add this:

    margin: 0;

    padding: 0;

    This will reset your margin of body and padding to 0. For anything that requires filling, you can define a substitution within its own class or id.

    For Twitter bar, if you push closer to the menu, what will you do on your trip button "hide"?

    On a sidenote, I've noticed a lot of faulty code:

    headstuff class ="twoColLiqLtHdr" >. "

    scmenu class ="twoColLiqLtHdr" >. "

    tab class ="twoColLiqLtHdr" >. "

    I think you did your tags! You can stick to the definitions standard div... .

    Line 24 of HTML where you set your jQuery script tag is missing a closing >. Fix this.

    Line 138 of HTML:

    <>#">Tag

    Invalid tag.

    Run your code by http://validator.w3.org/, check & fix all the errors first.

  • The menu bar clock freezes after recovery from sleep mode

    After the upgrade to Sierra, I noticed that the clock in the menu bar (top right) show wrong time.  This occurs when the iMac comes out of his SLEEP.  When I hoover the pointer of the mouse on the clock, it would turn into a spinning ball (i.e. no response).  I have to disconnect and reconnect so that the clock in the menu bar to indicate the correct time.  She would continue to work until the next time that the iMac comes out of SLEEP.

    Anyone facing this problem?

    Have you tried booting in safe mode (hold down the SHIFT key at startup)? The problem persists?

    If you create a new user account, does?

  • How to remove the period/point of the day and month in the menu bar

    Since the upgrade to Sierra I noticed that the day and month in the menu bar have now periods (diaphragm openings) after them, for example 'Sun' instead of 'Sun '. It is not possible to change this by using the language and region settings. I find them boring. Is there any other way (for example by using Terminal Server) to get rid of them?

    This is the default value for the Australia, for example. What region is selected in system preferences?

  • Icon not appearing SIRI is not in the menu bar

    Just installed Sierra - Siri icon appears in the dock but no menu bar. How do I configure that?

    Go to the system preferences window click the siri, then in the window to disable the Siri display in the menu bar and then on again.

  • Siri is not displayed in the menu bar - an idea, why not?

    To http://help.apple.com/macOS/Sierra/WN/?lang=en_US#/siri-WN , I noticed that Siri is supposed to be in the menu bar. And in settings > Siri "display in the menu bar" is selected by default. But he does not appear in my menu bar. Yet it is in my dock.

    No idea why it doesn't appear in the menu bar?

    In addition, Siri has a few display bugs (see screenshot).

    Turn off your computer and restart.

  • Impossible to disable the menu bar black in El Capitan

    An application that I used works option "menu bar black" of OSX and while I like it better than the light menu bar some of my menu icons are not visible in dark mode and so I would like to disable. However, the problem is that I can't. Whenever I have untick "use the menu bar black and anchor" setting in system preferences > general, nothing happens. Then when I close the system preferences and open it again, I find that the box is checked once more. (I also uninstalled all traces of the original application that made that change, reinstalled, tried to turn the option off, clear again, etc. - all without success).

    I tried to check in the Library/preferences /. GlobalPreferences, but it doesn't seem to be an option for this setting (while I can see the setting to hide the menu bar).

    Any ideas?

  • How to remove Options in the menu bar, it just keeps poping up upward.

    In the menu bar poping up Guard options, how can I remove it and keep coming back.

    You can check the setting of the home page to see if the subject: preferences page is added.

    • Tools > Options > general > startup: Homepage

    Firefox supports several home pages separated by ' |' symbol (pipe).

    You can use the SearchReset extension to reset preferences to default values.

    Note that the SearchReset extension runs only once and then uninstalls automatically, so it will not appear on the page "> Firefox Add-ons" (topic: addons).

  • "Terrible blue ' seeps into the menu bar

    in 2014, I asked this question:

         Several new Firefox Support questions relate to the new "awful blue" in the menu bar in 29.0.1. But that "awful blue" was ALWAYS there as the Windows windowframe color (in Windows XP, SP 3). The real problem is that the windowframe has now "leaked" or "fused" its way into the Firefox menu bar. The two should be separate. Please separate them again, so that Windows controls the windowframe only, while Firefox controls the menu bar only.

    It is visually important when there are several tabs as a single tab is visible. The other tabs have nothing left but their legends. See photo.

    At the time where I got this reply and found it useful.

         In the customize settings you can add the title bar to separate the two. I hope this helps. I will lock this thread unless you need further support, please feel free to post another question.

    But now (v41.0.2) it doesn't seem to be a title bar, and I can't make this thing work.

    Please allow the color of the Firefox menu bar was separated from the windowframe Windows color, whereas Windows controls the windowframe only, while Firefox controls the menu bar alone.

    Try setting browser.tabs.drawInTitlebar to false on the topic: config page to disable the display of the tabs in the title bar.

    You can open the topic: config page via the address bar.
    You can accept the warning and click on "I'll be careful" to continue.

  • Menu button is missing when the menu bar is not selected

    I'm using Firefox 41.0.1. The menu of Firefox in the upper left corner button is missing. I have disabled Menu bar button should be there. The menu bar works very well when I have the option checked, it's just the Firefox button is missing when I do not have the active menu bar.

    Showing a Firefox button when the menu bar is not selected, it was a feature in the four Firefox via Firefox 28 versions. With 29 Firefox and later versions, there is no Firefox button - there is nothing displayed when the menu bar is hidden.

  • Is there a fix for when the Chinese characters appear to "take back" the menu bar (s)?

    Periodically, I notice that the menu bar was "taken over" by these characters, making the navigation and use of the functions difficult or impossible. Close the program and then by reopening sometimes solves this problem for a while, but then it happens again. I think I have the latest version of 38.2.0.

    It could be anything McAfee... It was a very problematic piece of software for a few years. See https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird: test: Antivirus_Related_Performance_Issues #McAfee

  • I PasswordBox as an add on and all of a sudden it does not appear in the menu bar.

    Yesterday, I had no problem using PasswordBox to my favorites. Now, it appears in the addon and it says it works, but icon in the menu bar disappeared. I am not able to connect to my favorites. That's happened? I tried to copy the page addon showing this add on, but it didn't work.

    PasswordBox unfortunately not updated to work with Firefox 40 (last update was in May). The former used extension module 'widget' to add the button to the toolbar and the module no longer exists in Firefox.

    Do not hesitate contact Intel/McAfee to find out what are their plans to update this extension, as other users also ask and we'd love to know.

    If your online life cannot continue without PasswordBox, you go back to Firefox 39.0.3, keeping in mind the problems of security. This article contains more information: install an older version of Firefox.

  • The Extension installed, went to customize, the post is not there to put it on the menu bar.

    Extension installed for Evernote Web Clipper (EWC). Go to customize the menu bar. The extension is not displayed to put on the menu bar. Other extensions are displayed. Remove the extension from the DRC and reinstall it. Still can not display it. 8.1 Windows running in a 64-bit environment.

    Now, it's a problem with two buttons extension disappeared? Probably an extension 3rd screwing things cause an incompatibility. I call it "don't play well in a group" - taken from some of my report cards in elementary school in the 1950s.

  • Can I move minimize them, restore and close more Firefox symbol and the description of what tab I'm on the Menu bar?

    On the seal, I want to put the top line of the screen - one that begins with the symbol of Firefox and then continued a question | Support Mozilla - Mozilla Firefox on the same line the file edit etc.

    https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/KB/customize-Firefox-controls-buttons-and-toolbars
    Open customize and in the lower left corner, click the title bar to hide the title bar.

    And I would recommend not having the menu bar show all the time. You can hit the ALT key when you want to access the menu bar.
