Hello

What version of the Windows operating system is installed on the computer?

When you are using Apple Boot Camp, you must hold down the Option key when starting. Then, by using the left and right arrow keys to choose which operating system you want to start.

I suggest you to go through the steps mentioned in the link and the Coachman.

ERROR: A disk read error occurred when starting Virtual Machine

A disk read error occurred"message also indicates the problem with the file system boot sector or the master boot record.

If you have a problem with bootcamp VM try to restore initialization information:
For XP, use the fixboot and fixmbr commands in the recovery console

For Vista/7 use bootrec.exe in the recovery console

  • No sound in Windows 7 with Boot Camp 4

On a Mac Mini 32-bit running Windows 7 with Boot Camp 4. I use this set to the top due to other software, I need that requires 32 bits.  There is no noise from the CPU itself, no making helmet. I get the Mac sound at the start of the central unit, then Windows starts normally.  On the Device Manager in Windows two audio devices are: high definition Audio Device and display Intel. • Early 2011 MBP 15 "dual SSD - lost with boot camp edition

    Hello community!

I lost my mind with boot camp troubleshooting during the last week. This is going to be confused reading, but I'm afraid I got worse... So please try to face me.

Starting point - of course I can install Windows 10 on my MBP 2011 early!

    Material

Early 2011 MBP 15 "with Intel HD 3000 and AMD Radeon HD 6750M

and the optical drive, replaced by an other SSD with a caddy

Of course, I didn't have an optical drive on the spot so I realized that I need to install to get the option to boot from USB - I did find. I managed to make a bootable USB from. ISO with UNETBOOTIN. First of all, I got score of huge problems with that I finally managed to Dodge with diskpart - software on Windows Installer USB after NVRAM reset before each attempt to install with CMD + Option + P + R, I had to also remove the OSX SSD during the installation of VICTORY for everything the world some boring as Windows could not update the configuration to start the computer. Unable to continue installation -problem.

    After all:

-> I managed to install WIN10 on my MBP education

    -> A lot of festivities fun! < 3

-> After installing the bootcamp drivers all active windows went to "invisible desktop on the left" (I closed the other workstations...) where I managed to lift one of the windows on the central office with lucky and "move" action (I have no idea...)

-> after reboot apparently drivers Intel HD 3000 went haywire and I got black screen on black with details in black (black screen Uni)

Conclusion: I try Windows 8.1 (pro) because at least he is supported by my Mac AND it has same installation and should work.

At one point I tried to use my old drive via USB to install Windows 7 and 8.1 pro

-> PROBLEM CDBOOT: couldn't find the BOOTMGR

-> I moved along back USB and WIN8.1

8.1 Windows Pro was installed easily, with the same procedure. When running boot camp display drivers turns black during the "Intel - graphic" installation period. I can confirmed that starting mode safe mode when the screen works, but I can't install Catalyst drivers-> so I can not play games that was the only reason for dual boot. In addition, there is no sound. So lack of drivers: no picture, no sound.

There... I think I forgot to say something. I was hoping just that if someone could help me with this problem. I lose my head here. I have not really direction where to go next, but I have a few options I can try after that I understand my morale of my troops.

    1. Remove my boot OS X SSD, switch my SSD Windows instead of him and put my Superdrive. So I would basically just install windows. Earlier, I had 8 windows work via the DVD and bootcamp.
    2. Try to play with the drivers on Win8.1 more
    3. Reinstall windows. There may be something wrong with my. ISO or USB?
    4. Delete the EFI to correct CDBOOT?

    Thank you in advance!

You must use Bootcamp Assistant for everything, including the form/partitioning implementation and the removal of partitions...

I would like to reformat the second SSD (on which should be installed W10) with diskUtility. Then start bootcampassistant on SSD1 and do all this.

  • 10 Windows run with boot camp to an external hard drive

    Hello

I have a MBP 13 "2015 i5 8 GB of Ram and 128 GB of storage, and I want to run windows 10 (for games) with boot camp (so if I'm right, OS X is off and Windows is on). I have parallels desktop and I can run windows 10 (located hard ext on my drive) but it is impossible to play with a virtual machine. So, I wonder if I can start and run windows 10 of my drive hard ext? I have only 128GB one my Mac using windows and OS X on it is impossible. Thanks for your help! (just to be clear: If you the solution works, if I disconnect my HDD ext all windows will be bug (or something like that)).

-Parallels Desktop (PD) is an application that manages a VirtualMachine (VM): this is a large file. PD can run at the same time as the OSX.

-Bootcamp is another partition on your hard drive where your Windows is running: it may not work with OSX, you start on the Windows partition or in the partition oSX; you do this partition and install Windows in there with the BootcampAssistant application. The BootcampAssitant can't do a Bootcamp Partition on an external drive as far as I know.

Original title: How do I recover photos

I installed Windows XP on an IMAC with boot camp and ran "air display" for windows to have and the law on the IPAD as a second monitor.  According to me, the air display works with a wireless network and our wireless network was recently in and out.  I tried to get the monitor works and made a few changes when the screen went black.  I can move the mouse, but the screen is blank.  I turned off the computer and rebooted several times.  I can't get into the side the computer's Mac and it works OK, but nothing on the side of windows... Yes, you must purchase a full license for the second installation of Windows 7 product key.  1 activation allows only one Windows 7 product key.  Apparently, you now have a second facility that requires a second product key. Carey Frisch

  • Drive external DRIVE with Boot Camp Win8.1 only recognized by a Mac?

I need to create a HARD drive containing Windows 8.1 for a retina 2015 13 "MacBook Pro with a small SSD.

If I understand correctly, Boot Camp wouldn't install Windows on what be it external. I used a 2012 MacBook Pro 13 "and the Boot Camp Assistant used to partition the internal drive and 8.1 Windows Installer from a DVD. I then removed the freshly Boot Camp a HARD drive internal, put it in a caddy and replaced the HARD internal drive with a new installed OSX one, and all is well. When I hold Alt 2012 the MacBook Pro at the start with my new external (the Boot Camp'd HARD drive in a caddy) plugged, I offer the 1) internal drive, 2) external OSX partition and finally 3) partition Windows 8.1. Windows starts successfully and works very well.

My problem is that when I plug the external HDD bootcamp in the 13 "2015 MacBook Pro of the retina, which I did because the Windows partition is not given as an option at startup. It offers only the internal SSD flash disk and partition OSX from the outside. The same is true when I plug it into a 2010 27 "iMac, a 15 2105" MacBook Pro or a 2011 13 "MacBook Pro.

I plugged on an any other MacBook Pro 2012 with a technique that is identical to the one I did the Boot Camp disk on and it works fine! Then why will offer to boot Windows on the computers of an identical to the technique that I have created the disk on? After, that means the only way I can create an external bootable Windows drive uses the same method, but with a PCIe SSD and it can be created in the machine, I want to use it with?

Anyone with any experience of this or any idea that I would appreciate your thoughts! Thank you.

1 Windows-to-Go is part of Windows Enterprise, which is not supported on your Mac.

    2. the drivers on the Windows installation are specific to a MBP 2012. Unless you create a generic Windows without specific hardware drivers, it will not work across different HW Macs.

    3. moving W8.1 with EFI Boot and the MBR are two different scenarios. You can also alter your BCD that leads to new problems.

  • Installation of Win 7 Pro 64-bit on Mac Pro (Intel) with Boot Camp

Trying to install OEM Windows 7 Pro 64 bit on a Mac Pro (Intel based computer) using Boot Camp (with Apple OS X 10.6). The installation went well until the system reboots to the CD with the OEM Windows 7 drive in the Bay. At that time there a MS-DOS appears on the screen that looks like this:

    1.

    2.
Select the Startup Type of the CD-ROM:

There is a blinking cursor (line underscore) after the semicolon, but everything I type on the keyboard appears on the screen when the cursor blinks. I use a USB keyboard connected to the computer for the installation, so I know it works. This blocked me.

Is it possible that the OEM version is causing this problem? Can I use a regular full version of Windows 7? Do not spend money to buy, then discover it displays the same screen.

I'll check with both Apple Support, but it seems strange that everything went very well with the installation until the Windows 7 loaded into the Bay. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Are you sure you are using the right drive?

The OEM versions include a disc OPK and the Windows 7 installation disc, make sure you use the right one.

Also, insert the disc, press C on your keyboard and select the Windows 7 disc to boot from it.

  • Initial setting with Boot Camp or not?

I'm new in the Mac world, and I have a new MacBook Pro 2.53 with 4 GB. I still need to run windows aps so I'll use VMware. My question is, is it better to install a Boot Camp partition first, then let them VMware use this, or should I skip the installation of Boot Camp and just use VMware. I don't know if I will need to start in native XP via Boot Camp, but have no experience, so I'd like to hear your comments.

  • MacBook Pro, Boot Camp Windows 10

    Greetings,

I bought a new Mo Pro and Windows 10 Pro a few days ago.  The first thing I did was run updates on Mac.  After that, I ran the wizard Boot Camp and installed Windows 10.  Everything worked well.  I used Bootcamp in windows to restart OSX.  I was able to boot into OS x by pressing the option key at startup.  After I got to OSX I went back to Win10.  I used Win10 all day today and tried to go back to OSX and I am now getting the error attached to the boot, the OSX partition does not start.  I'm looking for an interpretation of the screenshot and a direction to head.  Thank you.

You can boot into OS X Safe Mode - try safe mode if your Mac does not commissioning - Apple support ? Your screenshot is a kernel panic.

  • problem with Boot Camp, VMware Fusion 3, ethernet does not (not driver)

    Hello guys,.

I have Windows 7 Pro 64 bit installed in Boot Camp and I'm running as a virtual machine using VMware Fusion OSX 10.6.6 3.1.2.

The problem I have is that the ethernet does not work under VMware, even with VMware Tools installed.  Device Manager shows no driver installed.

I googled and found a lot of suggestions to add ethernet0.virtualDEV = "e1000" to the simultaneous file, but I looked and this line is already there.

I tried reinstalling VMware, VMware Tools, the Boot Camp drivers, NIC Add/Remove VMware settings, change NAT to the deck and vice versa. Nothing works.

    Any suggestions?
